Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone!  We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop

Joanie is thankful that Alf lets her use him as a pillow. Don’t worry, Gremmie is up there too. Gremmie is going to have a play date with The Great One today, but Joanie will stay home because it is too hot outside. I am thankful for all 10 of my kitties, they are all unique and special in their own ways.

We are also joining  Sammy’s Poetry Day. Here is my poem to go with this photo prompt provided by Teddy’s mom:

There is no shame
in being a helpless dame.
I would rather be flirty
then changing a tire and getting dirty.
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.
1. If you want ________________, you have to __________________.
2. During the month of  August, I plan to _________________.
3. Others might think it’s strange that I _________.
4. _________ seems so far away.

    1. Thank you 🙂 When I started this blog I had 15, but many have passed and we have had new additions too. XO

  1. It looks like Alf makes a very good pillow!
Cute poem and I agree that it is much better to have someone change the tyre for you.

    1. Gremmie didn’t get to go, Joanie let out a whimper when I went to take him so I put him back 🙂

  2. Joanie is adorable. One of our neighborhood kitties looks a lot like Joanie. That kitty visited here this morning. 🙂
I was a “helpless dame” one of the times that David was in the hospital. I had to make the rounds to decide on the nursing home he was going to next, and I ended up with a flat tire at one of them. It was very upsetting. Thankfully, I was still in the nursing home parking lot and there was someone available to take off the flat and put on the spare for me. At this point, although I know how to change a tire, I no longer have the strength to do so.
I have my fill-ins ready to go for tomorrow. 🙂

Have a blessed weekend, my friend!

    1. Thank you 🙂 I am glad you had someone to change it for you. I look forward to your fill-ins. I hope you have a blessed weekend too. XO

  3. Awwww… What a doll. And cute poem! That skirt on the gal is fantastic, too; she looks a lot like my mother on her wedding day. 🙂

  4. That sounds like a fun time coming up! That was a very cute poem too. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

  5. Cute poem! I’ve never changed a tire. In fact, I’ve never had a flat while driving alone. We have AAA and they have rescued us from car issues other than a flat tire.

    1. Thank you 🙂 I did once, but I was close to home so I drove on it even though it is a big no-no.

  6. Nice pillow. I changed a tire for a co-worker many years ago. Early 80s I believe. Her husband came out to check on my work because after all I was a girl and we can’t change tires. He did nothing to correct what I had done. I was a farm girl. We knew how to do things.

I’m all ready for the Friendly Fill-ins.

Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday, Ellen. Scritches to all your precious kitties. ♥

  7. HAHAHAHA……….LOVE the poem! Well done………in fact – PERFECT! Thanks for having fun with us on Poetry Day.

    Hugs, Pam

  8. Hee hee, that’s a pretty good poem, though I have to admit I’ve changed tires a number of times over the years.

    1. Thank you 🙂 I am impressed that you have. I haven’t a clue how to do that.

  9. I enjoyed the poem and I couldn’t change a tire of my life depended on it. I am not strong enough now either. AND I cannot remember the one time someone tried to teach me. That lug wrench is a hard dude to deal with.

  10. MOL…lovely poem 😀 Cushions like Alf are just purrfect…Granny uses my hamster, he’s all flat now…MOL😸Pawkisses for a Happy Thursday🐾😽💞

  11. Very cute poem! Whenever anyone tells me ‘Oh 5 is too many kitties you don’t need a 6th’. I think of you with your 10 kitties haha.

    1. Date got canceled, Joanie whimpered when I went to take him so I left him home. XO
