Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop

Rosie is thankful for her Dad’s lap. I am a little miffed, she never sits on mine.

Rosie is also thankful to Pipo’s mom for the beautiful welcome card.

Sammy is thankful that he got to attend a Valentine’s party with Maggie and other Cat Scout friends.

We are also joining  Sammy’s Poetry Day. Here is my poem to go with this photo prompt provided by Teddy’s mom.

A town with a population of only one
that doesn’t sound like much fun.
I hope this is not the only house
as it doesn’t look fit for a mouse.
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.
1. I always carry ________________ with me.

2.I would love to know why ______________?

3. I express my love in the form of _________.
4. _________ makes me feel like the luckiest individual alive.

    1. Many of mine are not lap cats. They like attention in different ways- like Sammy sleeping on my pillow. XO

  1. Rosie certainly has made herself totally at home including finding one of the best seats in the house on Dad’s leg! Glad SammyP got to the Valentine’s Party – Teddy was late…oops….That’s a perfect poem too for that photo – kind of a spooky little photo wasn’t it?!?!?!

    Hugs, Pam

  2. Rosie looks very content on Dads lap. My wife, Rose (sometimes called Rosie coincidentally) is jealous that Frankie lies on my lap and not hers since we adopted him to be her cat.

  3. Rosie does look very content on her Dad’s lap. I am so happy you two gave her a home… so happy! One person is beginning to sound pretty good to me. We are in high season here in Florida and it is crazy! Too peopley!

  4. Ok I missed Rosie’s arrival but I will head back on the blog.
    Welcome Rosie…you are very pretty.

Can you imagine all the field mouses that field
    Hugs Cecilia

  5. Aww, Rosie is adorable! Daddy’s girl 🙂

A population of one seems very lonely. Unless you like living that way.

  6. LOVE the poem. I haven’t thought of one yet but that picture sure is worthy of a poem! Here’s so fill-ins. Been a while for me.
    1. I always carry lipstick and something to read with me.

    2. I would love to know why many people drive with no courtesy.

    3. I express my love in the form of constant or needed care.

    4. Family make me feel like the luckiest individual alive.

    1. Thank you 🙂 And thank you for these great answers. Good idea to have reading material with you 🙂 I would like to know the answer to that too. I agree about #4. XO

  7. It looks like Rosie is dads cat. It works out that way sometimes.

    Love your poem. Cute.

I’m all ready for the Friendly Fill-ins. Thank you for co-hosting the fun.

Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday, Ellen. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to the kitties. ♥

  8. Da Boyz won’t nap with me, as they have done for days and days!
I lay on the futon, throw the blanket over me, and voila…they are on me…but no more.
Maybe it has something to do with the workweek, so I’m hoping this weekend to get a ton of snuggle time!

  9. I hope she’ll share her generous lap warming with you sometime in the future. 🙂 Nice poem. Is that sign for real? It’s too funny. Take care!

  10. rosie; thiz will bee yur furst heartz day oh lovez sell a brationz two !!! 😉 ♥♥♥

  11. Aw, Rosie looks so cozy! My parents have a number of cats who will only sit on my dad’s lap and never sit on my mom’s lap. Cats seem to love the way my dad smells. And your poem is as clever as ever!

  12. I guess Rosie is a Daddy’s girl, huh? One thing I love about Luke is that he treats me and the hubby pretty equally. That’s very important when you only have one pet! I’m sure some of the others probably prefer your lap. 🙂
