Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

First off, I am thankful to have my blog back. I updated a plug-in on wordpress and lost everything. Has that happened to any of you? Being that I don’t know how to do technical things, I had to pay GoDaddy $80 to fix it. It was worth it though to have everything back.Plus I can have 2 more problems within a month included in the price.

Penny is thankful that her friend Amarula ( a fellow tortie) and family at Hairballs and Hissy Fits sent her a Canadian penny. They are no longer in circulation and are hard to come by. They also sent some treats and nip which Penny (reluctantly) shared with her siblings.

And Prancie and I are thankful that her book is being reviewed today on Christmas Tree  Lane ( being that it is Christmas themed). It is a wonderful blog of all things Christmas.

Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

1. I can’t wait to sink my teeth into _____________________ on Thanksgiving.

2. I will pass on ___________________ on Thanksgiving.

3. I wish _________ was served at holiday gatherings

4. I will always be thankful for _________.

  1. WELCOME BACK! What a pain that must have been – how kind (!) of GoDaddy to “only” charge you $80 to fix the problem. We’re just happy you’re back in business!

    Hugs, Pam and Teddy too

  2. Oh those tech problems, yes, that’s happened to us with WordPress too, thankfully the Dad can fix it (usually). That’s a nice bunch of thankfuls today and Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

Hey, there is a world-wide problem with the LinkyTools product so everyone is having problems linking up today. Sorry for the inconvenience, it should be fixed later today, they are working on it.

  3. Whoa I was wondering what was up this morning when I got all that weird stuff on your blog.
BTW Eastside Cats doesn’t have a comment box. Yesterday she had the comments turn off. Maybe they still are turned off. I don’t have her email addy
My computer froze on me once several years ago then bang a message popped up told me to call 1800….blah blah Microsoft. I did because I too was panic.
I’m a shamed to say how much I paid…but I did get it back on. A few days later there was a news story about it. I called the Geek Squad signed up for the maintenance program. They checked it then and found those scammers were still lurking in the background.
    Hugs

  4. Way cool on the penny. How nice. Okay the treats too. Glad you shared them.

I was wondering where the fill-ins were and now I know why they were a bit late. I’m all ready for the fun tomorrow.

Have a purrfect Thankful Thursday, all you kitties. My best to your mom. ♥

  5. Gosh, Penny…now I have to look to see if I have a pence coin from England in my pile of stuff! I know I have a few coins from other countries in my jewelry box.

  6. Ms. Ellen, i am so very glad you got your blog back, not having it here would be awful.

Penny, i am so glad you got a Canadian penny and treats.

Prancie, you deserve a good review.

  7. So glad you’ve got your blog back and up and running! Hoping that you don’t encounter any more issues. I know how frustrating tech issues can be…
Also, I now feel a bit compelled to look through my own coin collection to see if I’ve got anything fun or interesting 🙂

    1. Thank you 🙂 You should. Penny has some past tips with links to values of US and Canadian pennies.

  8. Once our mom had a problem with a client’s site with a stoopy plugin where it wouldn’t let her get back into the site! Thankfully, she has access to the host’s server, so she was able to fix it from that end. Sometimes you just can’t tell what a plugin will do, even when you test it. 🙁

Very cool that you got a Canadian penny. We have a bunch of those (and nickles and quarters, too). Our mom really likes those coins.

  9. My human has so many things to update on my blog at the moment. She is hoping it will solve some problems… I’m hoping it won’t create more!

  10. I was worried when I got an error upon trying to visit your site. I’m so glad it’s all fixed, though I wish it didn’t cost you so much. Penny, what a jackpot. A penny for a Penny, and catnip! Prancie’s beautiful story is most certainly going to be one of my annual Christmas reads. Purrs to all!

  11. 1. I can’t wait to sink my teeth into turkey on Thanksgiving!

    2. I will pass undressing. Never liked it.

    3. I wish fried taters and onions was served on Thanksgiving- but it sure isn’t the style.

    4. I will always be thankful for my blessings, my family and absolutely my friends both here and in the CB. Love to all of them.

    1. Thank you for these great answers. I take it spell check changed #2 🙂 I would like fries too. And I am with you on #4. XO

  12. Ugh, sorry you had that blog problem. I always procrastinate on doing any updates because I’m so paranoid about it. So far I’ve been lucky – knock wood – that any issues I’ve had my server has fixed for no charge. But I’ve never had the whole thing crash – yikes – I’d panic for sure!! I’ve had more than one time where no one could access it though and it freaks me out every time.

  13. So that’s what happened! I was trying to get onto your blog and there was an error. I’m really sorry you had to go through that. But I’m glad everything is okay! xo
