Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! I got to see Grammie Monday and today. I love her so very much. We had a lot of fun on Monday. I am very thankful to have such a wonderful Grammie. I am also thankful that I am not going to the vet today. Snowball is going to get a little shave on her back-end. I help her bathe, but I stay clear of that end-MOL! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

Here is my poem for Sammy’s Poetry Day, featuring the letter M.

Ware
I live in a small town
it sometimes makes me frown.
We have a grocery store and a Super Walmart
but, sadly there is no PetSmart.
Grammie lives one town away
which is why I can’t see her every day.
When I say I live in Ware
don’t be a wiseguy and ask where?

  1. Lovely poem.

There’s a place called Ware in England too. It’s in Hertfordshire. We’ve never been but it’s not really that far away from London where we live.

  3. What a great post! We love hearing about your visits with your beloved grammie, Phoebe. And we also love your poem! Most of my extended family is from (and still live in) small towns that have about one grocery store each. Very quaint, which isn’t always a bad thing! We cannot wait to fill in these pawesome Thanksgiving fill-ins for tomorrow. We’ll see you then!

  4. One Thanksgiving tradition I have is to eat pumpkin pie!
Black Friday is just another day … another day for PUMPKIN PIE that is!
The best part about Thanksgiving day is ( I would say family but
that would ruin the theme here) is PUMPKIN PIE!
One Thanksgiving … I ate pumpkin pie!

My grammie used to make sure I had pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving 🙂

    3. The best part about Thanksgiving is eating leftovers for days!
    4. One Thanksgiving, I got so sick I had to have my parents drive me home.

    1. Thank you for your answers 🙂 I agree about the leftovers and all our kitties get a taste of turkey too. Sorry about your #4.

  9. You aren’t talking about Fort Ware in BC, are you? It was the former name of Kwadacha. Mom knows it best as Fort Ware, an interesting place.

    Thanks for the Fill-Ins.

  10. Creative poem.
I wish we lived in a smaller town but I would miss the convenience of having multiple large pet stores (and every other store) to shop at. We have 3 Target within 10 miles!

    1. Thank you 🙂 You are so lucky to have so many Targets near you, I need to go at least 30 minutes for the closest.

  11. We like your fun poem. Not having to visit the vet is always something for which to be thankful. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
