Phoebe’s Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! I finally got to see my Grammie and she brought me us a big container of treats. I lover her so very, very much. DSCF1330

Miss Piggy Joanie had to dig right in. I am very thankful for my Grammie so I am joining PepiSmartDog’s Thankful Thursday Blog, pet centric

The strangest thing happened to me Monday night. I had been in a deep sleep then I woke up all warm and toasty. I thought, wow, Snowball’s lion cut is growing out fast. Then I realized it wasn’t Snowball, it was the feral beast Brody. He was keeping me warm so I let him stay. Being that I am the boss, everyone else saw that and figured he is OK to stay. Mom used to shut him in the upstairs bathroom, but now it has been 4 nights and no problems so I guess he is OK as long as he remembers that I am the boss around here.

Flat Cat Scout Mango is still visiting, she wanted Sammy to teach her how to eat corn on the cob so Mom finally got some.

Mom asked me to post the fill-ins for tomorrow’s Friendly Fill-Ins Blog Hop, she came up with the first 2 and Annie of McGuffy’s Reader came up with the second 2.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?

Hi everyone! We are joining 2 hops today plus I have some great deals to tell you about.

First off, we are joining Comedy Plus for Awww…Mondays.

DSCF1302 (2) Another Brody sighting. He is really starting to catch on, he doesn’t run as fast through the room- I think that was startling everyone. Plus he investigates things, last night he climbed Phoebe’s pole and was walking along the curtain rod. I tried to get a photo, but he got down too quickly. He was watching Joanie sit on my lap so maybe someday he will realize that can be fun.

And for The Book Date’s It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? I am reading Love The House You’re In by Page Rien. I was getting depressed watching Flip or Flop, knowing I could never make such big changes to my home, this book made me appreciate what I have and find ways to make our home reflect all we love. Being that it is filled with cats, I have that part covered.  badge

Now for those deals. I know many of you were interested in the book, Yarned and Dangerous by Sadie Hartwell. She commented yesterday to let us know the Kindle is version is on sale for $2.99. Here is the link.

And for those of you that want some high quality nip ( blends contain silvervine and valerian) from Cat-A-Bliss on Etsy, you can get 10% off for the rest of the month by using the code: 15ANDMEOWING

Phoebe couldn’t get into our latest delivery fast enough ( she may have a nip problem)

Phoebe the Pole Dancer

Hi everyone! Several of you wrote in the comments that you wanted to see Phoebe’s pole dance for Cinco de Mayo so that is our “art” for today. Deepest apologies to those who may be visiting for the first time because of the title of this post ( we are not that kind of blog). And in response to Caren and Cody’s question- Phoebe does the dance, not me 🙂

We hope this counts as art for Athena’s Caturday Art Blog Hop. Caturday Art

Don’t forget to comment for a chance to win Phoebe’s Giveaway. A small pinata filled with little crocheted catnip toys and catnip. cinco5

March Madness

Hi everyone! It is that time of year that Mom gets mad because basketball is on instead of Sheldon. She did plant me some grass for being so good about my dental ( like I had a choice). Here is a video of me enjoying it.

Mom has had a bad cold so she didn’t open all the mail right away. Penny and Millie want to thank Toby and BobbieSue for the great St. Patrick’s Day cards.

PS: Spooky had his blood work , but we won’t know the results until sometime today. He is eating well though.

Purrs and Prayers for SPOOKY

Spooky has been a trooper at sitting for his fluids. He has an appointment on Wednesday for more blood work. He has been enjoying his walks outside with his Dad on sunny days. And last week we received our prize from Fur Everywhere– a Yeowwww! heart.

Spooky had first dibs and he enjoyed it:

Phoebe’s Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone!DSCF0786

I am thankful to be here after being starved for 20 hours. The dental went fine, but I had to have one toothie removed ( good thing I live with the Tooth Fairy). My Grammie didn’t get to come with Mom to pick me up because she was getting a new tub installed- sounds like a fake excuse to me. I love her so very much and would have loved to see her.

I am pretty miffed that I can”t have dry food or TREATS for at least a week- PHOOEY!!! I hope I can survive. One good thing, Brody likes to sing so he drowned out Mom’s singing in the car.

Mom took a video of me when I got home, she calls it ” Shake it Off”- I plan to seek revenge.

I am joining Pepi Smart Dog’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, pet centric I am thankful to you all for your purrs and prayers for my dental to go well.

And the winner of the Easter Giveaway is Mickey’s Musings -Congratulations!

I was so upset about my dental that I almost forgot it is St. Patrick’s Day! Mom and Dad are party poopers, they have pistachio pudding because it is green and that is all they do.

It’s Monday What Are You Reading?

Hi everyone! This week we are joining the It’s Monday What Are You Reading? blog hop for children’s books hosted by Unleashing Readers and Teach Mentor Texts.

I recently read , Ketzel, the Cat Who Composed by Leslea Newman. It is a sweet picture book for K-grade 3, but I enjoyed it too. It is based on the true story of a cat that lived with a composer named Morris Moshe Cotel. She ran across the keyboard and he

took notes on what she played. Her piano piece became famous and even won an award. You can purchase the book at Amazon .IMWAYR 2015 logo

I decided to see if my cats could compose too. With the hubby’s help, we tried 4 of the girls and they jumped right down, but Millie and Spooky were cooperative. What do you think of their music?

Prancie Monday

Happy Monday everyone! I uploaded 2 videos of Prancie being Prancie that I want to share with you.

In the first one, she is snooping through her Dad’s things then stops when she realizes I am watching her.

The second one is her reaction to butter. Every morning she comes over to me waiting for a taste of butter. When I show it to her she gags and then eats it. I am not sure why she does this EVERY time, but she seems to like it and doesn’t get sick eating it.

We are joining Rascal and Rocco’s Parade Celebrate winter time with the pet parade, where all your favorite pets and animals can be found

Toll Tuesday

Hi everyone! Joanie wouldn’t give me a tummy shot and Penny wouldn’t let me get a tortie shot so I decided to go with a video I took last week.

Joanie has figured out that twice a day I bring something yummy upstairs. Polar Bear and his 2 wives live up there. They do come down for visits and I have tried to mix them with the others, but they always go back to their room on their own. Polar Bear takes thyroid medicine and the only way to get it into him is to hide it in a piece of meat or cheese.

Joanie always knows where the snacks are and was quick to figure this out. She now charges me a toll to go upstairs. I have to give her a small piece of whatever I have for Polar Bear. I tried to take a video, but it is very dark. You can hear her little chirp though.

Today is ROAR day and I was hoping to have a great ROAR, but sadly, it is not. I was inspired by Melissa, Miss Mudpie’s Mom when she helped rescue a cat from death row last week by pledging and then honoring the pledge. Last night, I was on Twitter and saw a beautiful 3-year-old cat on death row so I pledged $25,there were many other pledges too, but sadly, Princess went to The Bridge today.

PRINCESS – A1061292

Now I am kicking myself. I should have pledged more, I should have read the information better. I didn’t realize they would adopt to people in New England, I thought it was only the tri-state area. I am angry too that the pledge required was over $200 even though $150 is returned of the animal is fixed- and she was already spayed so why make the fee so high? They also tested her and she was negative for FELV/FIV on the 23rd so why do they test if they are going to murder them so quickly? I know this happens daily and I try to shield myself from it, but I guess if we all shield ourselves then it will keep happening.

Now that I am in tears and made everyone sad, I will try to cheer you up with a video of Snowball enjoying the cool toy that Peaches and Paprika’s Mom brought us ( she is better than Santa).

Phoebe will be having a giveaway tomorrow and telling you more about Christmas.
