Hi everyone! Time for the Friendly Fill-ins, but first the winner of our Hartz SqueezUps GIveaway is The Catholic Cat– Congratulations!

Be sure to leave your link on McGuffy’s Reader. You can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate.

1. As a child, my favorite playground activity was _______________________.

2. For breakfast, I have ___________________.

3. An instrument I would like to play is                        .

4. I always try to                          , because                       .
My answers:
1. As a child, my favorite playground activity was the swings. I wish I could have a giant swing now.
2. For breakfast I have waffles with butter ( the frozen kind)- I know it is not healthy, but that is what I like. My Mom keeps telling me to stop having awful waffles 🙂
3 An instrument I would like to play is the piano. I got a free piano from Craigslist 11 years ago and I took lessons for a year and a half, but now I use it as a buffet in the dining room.I have no musical ability.
4. I always try to tell my Mom, hubby and niece that I love them daily because you never know when you may not get that chance.
Before I go, please check out Coach Daddy’s 6 words this month is Our Greatest Adventures. You can read about mine and many others. Click here.

Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! Grammie was here on Monday and we had some relatives over for lunch. I was the only one that got to go in the dining room to visit, that is a cat free zone. I love my Grammie so very much. I am joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

Dad has the rows of blueberries all surrounded with fencing and netting so he thought it would be a great catio for us to go out in,but Mom said, “no cat of mine is going outside!”

She sounds just like Howard’s mother on The Big Bang Theory. Phooey!!

Here is my poem for Sammy’s Poetry Day, we had a choice of 4 words starting with c so I chose camera.

Annoying me with every flash
the least you could do is give me some cash.
A human with a camera is no fun
whenever I see one, I run.
If I can’t avoid this stint
at least I am going to squint.

Mom participated in this month’s 6-words post at Coach Daddy’s Blog. The question was : If you asked someone to read your fortune, what’s the best thing they could say to you? For her answer and many more, click here.

Mom also wants to join Wandering Through the Shelves this week for TMP Television edition medical dramas.

  1. ER ( 1994-2009) – This one is self explanatory. Such a great show.
  2. House ( 2004-2012)- Hugh Laurie played Dr. House, a prescription drug addicted doctor that seemed to hate people, but was an amazing doctor.
  3. Nurse Jackie (2009-2015)- Edie Falco was so incredible in this role , the complete opposite of Carmella Soprano. She played a drug addicted nurse that was excellent at her job. This one is technically listed as a comedy, but there was a lot of drama.

And here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. Mom came up with the first two and Annie of McGuffy’s Reader came up with the second two.

1. My next ___________________ will be ________________________________.

2. Fireworks__________________________.

3. Freedom                               .

4. This week, I am thankful                                         .

Quotes and 6 Words or Less

Happy Thursday everyone! Today is my day to blog, but Mom is going to cut in-phooey!

The Cat on My Head   challenged us to The Quote Challenge- here are the rules:

  • Thank the blogger who nominated you: Thanks The Cat on My Head  for this opportunity to reveal a bit about myself through the quotes I selected.
  • Post three of your favorite quotes (this can be done all in one post or on three consecutive days).
  • Nominate 3 bloggers and challenge them.

I challenge: LadyBird, Dezi and Lexi and Katie– and anyone else that wants to play.

And here are my 3 favorite quotes- I am sure you won’t be surprised that they are all about cats.

  1. “Time spent with cats is never wasted”- Sigmund Freud.  I can’t think of a better way to spend my time.
  2. “When a man loves cats, I am his friend and comrade without further introduction” Mark Twain.  Same here, once I know a man or woman loves cats, I know they are kind-and smart too.
  3. ” I love cats because I love my home, and little by little they become it’s visible soul.” Jean Cocteau. This rings so true for me, I am a homebody and I do love my house, every part of it is for the comfort and enjoyment of the cats.

I also want to tell you about the 6 words Coach Daddy, this month was how we’d improve ourselves and I loved everyone’s answers. Please check them out and tell Eli you want to join next month’s 6 words.

And now back to a very annoyed Phoebe- 008Hi again, yesterday was Joanie and Sammy’s birthday. Joanie got her own bag of treats and Mom wrote Joanie only on them. I can’t believe that brat Joanie doesn’t have to share. Grammie was here though so we all got some other treats. I love my Grammie so very much. Her birthday is this month so I must come up with a great present for her.

001My grass isn’t doing so well. And I can’t blame Mom- or can I?

See you Sunday and I best not have to share my post with Mom. And Monday we are starting a new giveaway with a black cat theme.

4th of July Giveaway

Happy Thursday everyone!

001I love this photo, you can see what a pretty shade of green my eyes are.

Grammie stayed with us while Mom and Dad went to the movies. She gave us lots of treats, she hasn’t given me a dollar in a long time, but that is OK. I love her so very much.

Mom joined another hop where you answer a question in 6 words, this time it was what are your plans for the summer?

A few readers wanted to see a photo of Lionel, the clinic cat so Mom asked her niece to send her one of him with a bow tie:lionel

He is a cutie!

Spooky is feeling much better already. He jumped on Dad’s lap and stuck his head in the potato chip bag- MOL.

I am having a 4th of July Giveaway! You can comment today, tomorrow and Saturday for more chances to win. The prize is a chicken leg, an ice cream cone, and a “firecraker” and beach ball. I will also include 2 mini flags so you can decorate your dinner like we do: . My friend Christy Paws recently won an ice cream cone and look how much fun they are:

Tomorrow we are having a guest post from Cat Scout Felix. And Saturday we will be hopping.

Rain and Vacuums and Dragons- Oh My!

006Pssst! It’s me, Phoebe- hi everyone. I am hiding from the dragons. I told my sweet purrince ( I am afraid of rain and he said he would protect me from rain and dragons. I didn’t even know about the dragons so I am hiding.I hope my Grammie is safe from them, I love her so very much. Gotta go- and you should all go hide too. Be safe and I will see you Sunday.

Well, being that Phoebe is hiding I thought I could slip in a couple things. First off, a huge thank you to Dezi and Lexi’s Mom ( for all the help she gave me on the phone with WordPress. I have been blogging over  a year and couldn’t figure out how to put badges on the sidebar so she called me and talked me through it. I will be forever grateful for her kindness. She would make a great teacher. Thank you to Sammy’s Mom ( too for emailing me the directions on how to do it. And to others who offered their help I thank you too.

We joined the 6 word blog hop again this month hosted by Coach Daddy ( ). Its a lot of fun, I encourage you all to join in next month. And I am co-hosting Feeling Beachie’s Follow Friday Fill-In and I would love it if you would join us in that too.
