Hi everyone! Before I tell you about our 4th of July, I have some sad news to report that many of you may already know. My brother Sammy’s friend Andy at Cat Scouts lost his sister on Friday. She was very sick and went to the Bridge. Please pray for Andy and his family during this difficult time.

Speaking of Sammy, he was on a float in a parade at Cat Scouts yesterday:

I didn’t have a party to go to-phooey! My purrince did write to me and wish me a Happy 4th and he sent me this adorable card:

While Mom and Dad were out metal detecting , I decided to go shopping. I borrowed Grammie’s credit card- I love her so very much, I am sure she won’t mind. I bought myself a little Gotcha Day something ( my Gotcha Day is July 14th). It is one of those window seats that suction cups to the window.

Sammy has another party at Cat Scouts today and the theme is pools and ponds so he is going to bring his pet turtle with him:

  3. So sorry to hear the sad news about your friend Andy’s sister, purrs to their family. That is a great 4th of July parade float you kitties were on! Sounds like a great gift that you bought yourself for your upcoming Gotcha Day, Phoebe!

        1. Of course my sweet purrince is always honest. I sometimes fib for treats- Mom gives me some and then Dad comes in a few minutes later and I tell him I haven’t eaten all day- works every time 🙂 It is OK to fib for treats- even for a Buddhist boy.   18. Scouts always have a good time and yesfurday was no exception. Gweat fotos. And what a pawsum purrezzy yous bought. Weez sure yous gwanny won’t mind. It must be pawsum havin’ a gwanny dat luvs yous so much. Weez so very sad ’bout meez sweet Andy’s sisfur Cali. Weez sendin’ lots of hugs and purrs and kitty kisses to them. Have a blest day.

    1. Yes, it is all of ours turtle, he has been here for 13 years, since he was itty bitty. He had a wife, but she died 2 years ago.

  23. Poor Andy what a time to lose a sisfur 🙁

    We have two of those beds that suction on to the window. Ours have wires that suction further up the window. They are terrific and we only had a couple of mishaps in over 3 years!

    1. I hope we don’t have any mishaps, they are supposed to hold 50 pounds and Sammy is 20. I know I will have to share- phoooey!

  26. Phoebe, we are going to take our cues from you and start getting our own gifts. Who knew? Well, obviously YOU did. Z-Girl has a Brownie camera like the one in your picture, but it sits on a shelf that we can’t reach. It once belonged to her grandparents.

    1. Thank you for visiting us. Our camera belonged to Grammie, but she said we can have it. It is usually out of reach, but last Monday was camera day so we did a photo shoot with it 🙂

  27. Looking good, Phoebe, as is your sweet Purrince. Mau says the parties at Cat Scouts were terrific and he enjoyed meeting Sammy’s pet turtle. Raz’s Rumblers had a really great float.
