Penny’s Tips Volume 86

Hi everyone! I have some recipes for you today and a giveaway. Warning- Trout Talkin Tabbies–stop reading!

I want to go first- Hi everyone! Rosie here. I want to tell you about the youtube turkey video. It isn’t as much fun as the red string, but it is still fun.

My turn now Rosie- go chase your turkey.

I have an easy recipe for you today and you can use it 2 ways depending on if you prefer pumpkin or cranberry.

Ingredients-

1 graham cracker crust

1 block cream cheese ( 8 ounces) softened

1 tub cool whip ( 8 oz)

and  1 cup canned pumpkin OR 1 cup whole berry cranberry sauce

Directions- mix all the ingredients together and pour into the crust. You can add pumpkin spice to the pumpkin pie if you want ( my folks like things bland). Then chill for a few hours.

I am having a giveaway too!!

There is a catnip turkey and 2 crocheted catnip turkey legs. All you need to do is comment on today’s post. Sorry, mom is a cheapo and said we can only ship in the US. You can comment until Thursday 9pm ( EST). Winner announced Friday.

  1. Mom says the recipe sounds easy enough that she can make it. We will withhold judgement until she actually makes it. We think we might be afraid of real Turkeys, Mom says they are bigger than the geese and the geese are scary dudes. Catnip turkeys on the other hand sound right up our alley.

  2. MOL…I’m running after a turkey…MOL…that’s a very nice video, Penny, I saved it so I can watch it all over again😹💗Thank you for coming to my Birthday-Pawty, dear furriends. You made our day unforgettable. Double Pawkisses for a Happy Day to all of you🐾😽💞

  3. That sounds tasty. I don’t like pumpkin so would use cranberries or maybe blackberries. The turkey looks like a fun game.

  4. Gosh that recipe sure does sound tasty……..maybe I should tell Mom about that one! She’s going to make that pie that I had on my blog on Saturday but this sounds good too. Thanks!

    Hugs, Teddy

  5. Penny, I swear, those turkey and chicken legs are just the best! Recipe sounds good. Think the pumpkin would go down well here.

  6. Did you get the turkey? He was pretty fast. Looks like fun.

I like the recipe. I want some.

Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday, Ellen. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to the kitties. ♥

  7. I watched The Hubby pick up cat toys, in preparation to sweeping the floor. Many of them were your creations, and the cats adore them!
Any other readers, make sure you get some of Ellen’s cat toys!

  8. That cartoon turkey made me laugh. Thanks for that. ~hugs~ Your mom’s crochet toys are awesome! Sad to say, geriatric Jezebel isn’t playing these days. I bounced one off the ceiling and she didn’t even react when it just missed her nose. 🙁 So I’ll refrain from the contest for another to win. You’re awesome, by the way, all of you. Be well!, my dears

  9. What a fun video!! MOL!

Those pies sound yummy! I think if you made your own cranberry sauce like we do you might even be able to use that!

That is one cute crocheted turkey! Does he gobble?? He must be glad he didn’t become those drumsticks! MOL!

    1. There was no giveaway with the fountain- sorry. Two other blogs reviewed and had giveaways, but when I asked the company for a giveaway they didn’t agree. 🙁

  10. The pies sound delicious! Mom is going to try to find that Turkey video for us.

We don’t need to be counted in the giveaway because we have a turkey leg and pawsome Thanksgiving nip mat from you.

    The Florida Furkids
ps – tomorrow’s post is Noelle with the mat!

  11. Just what mom needs…pie….nope, not even a tasty one. She’s been eating too much while staying home working and the holidays are coming, which means more food! The new kittens are enjoying some of your crochet toys Raven left for them, so we do not want to be entered into the drawing.

  12. Mom says we must have attention deficit disorder because we won’t focus on the turkey:)

    Pie sounds delish AND easy!!!

  13. The turkey in that game is purrobably the only one I’ll get this Thanksgiving, ’cause Mom says I’m allergic to the real thing. [Sighing]

    1. Sorry you are allergic. We will all get some because there are 15 pounds for 3 people .

  14. Rosie,,,,your turkey is fun!! I wish he was battery run and we could chase him throughout the house.

Now, that recipe sounds delish so mom is going to make a copy and the next time they go shopping they will pick up the essentials for this pie.

I DON’T BLAME YOU ABOUT SENDING STUFF TO OTHER COUNTRIES…… too expensive. Good luck to a lucky winner.

  15. Recipe is great thanks for sharing. I have a recipe for the holidays with a can of whole cranberries, a cup of sour cream and a can of drained pineapple tidbits. You mix it all up and put them in individual cupcake liners, I like the silicone ones. Freeze them and it is a nice treat to serve with the turkey and fixings. My fancy Lyn likes to serve it on a leaf of butter lettuce. She’s so formal. Love the photos and your giveaway is very cool. Thank you for being here. Have a great week. HUGS and LOVE

  16. Oh, the recipe sounds delicious. And so easy to make. Since I like pumpkin and cranberry, I’ll have to make it twice 🙂
