This week’s tips to keep your human occupied are out of this world. Really, they are all sky and space themed. And I have a guest to help me who has a lot more experience with outer space than I do.
Yes, Alf is back. He promised not to eat any of us.
Did you hear about the comet Neowise? It is visible right before sunrise. You can get all the details by clicking here.
Maybe they would prefer an Extroplanet Exploration where one can check out the surfaces of planets of other stars. You can also download free posters. Click here.
How about trying to spot the space station when it goes over? To find out when it is due in your area, click here.
And don’t forget meteor showers. The Perseids are active from July 17th until August 24th. They will be at their peak August 11-12.
We are joining Comedy Plus’ Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Hope that keeps your humans amused until next week.
We’re big space fans since we live on the Space coast of Florida!!
The Florida Furkids
You are lucky- except for the hurricanes.
I’ll look for it, Ellen! Thanks!
Thank you 🙂
I don’t know about these tips, Penny – the humans might get so fascinated, they may forget mealtime!
Uh-oh! I didn’t think of that.
Yes, we have heard about that comet! But we would have to get in our car and go out a ways until the trees do not obstruct the horizon…trees we love but, sometimes,…they just get in the way, MOL!
I bet our Uncle would love to see that comet, he used to work for NASA. Sadly he lives in a nursing home now…he has Alzheimer’s Disease…sigh…so we will gather pictures and info for him to enjoy in his own way, (He is still pretty with it, just needs lots of help with day to day self care activities and meals.) (We talk on the phone at regular intervals, he lives 600 miles away from us…)
That is sweet you talk to your Uncle. XO
Those are good tips of things to watch out for. I saw the Musk satellites when they were sent up recently. It looked quite eerie to see them all in a line.
Thank you 🙂 That would be eerie. XO
Thanks Penny, we and Humanmom love the skies and all that can be discovered above and beyond ☀☁🌈🌎🌟
purrs Annie & Charlie
Thank you 🙂
Mum has seen the space station flying up in the sky sometimes 🙂
Maybe she will see some of the other things up there too .
Purrs,Georgia and Julie
I hope she does 🙂 XO
Hi Penny! Thanks for those “out of this world” tips. My Mom loves meteor showers – maybe we’ll get this on the calendar so she can see the Perseids again!
Hugs, Teddy
Thank you 🙂 XO
I love to look to the sky during the day and at night. Meteor showers are magic. Thank you for the tips Penny! I will be back to click on your links and set them as favorites.
Thank you 🙂 XO
Thanks for all these great tips Penny! 🙂
Thank you 🙂
The mom has seen the space station go overhead…that was a few years ago.
It seems to go over often.
I tried to see the comet…here but not sure if I did but I saw lots of stars.
Hugs Cecilia
Keep trying. XO
Thanks for the links That’s very interesting. I’m glad Alf is behaving himself:)
Thank you 🙂
We’ve already been out to look for Neowise, but of course it was cloudy! And usually look for the Perseids every year. Great information, Penny…thank you!
Keep trying for Neowise 🙂
It’s been some years since I’ve seen a comet. I’ll be on the lookout.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday, Ellen. Scritches to all the kitties. ♥
Good luck :)XO
They should have called the comet meowise.
I agree!
Very good sweet Penny, there’s a lot going on in space right now!
Thank you 🙂
Thanks for the tips, Penny! I enjoy anything that has to do with space. We’ve seen some gorgeous full moon sightings from our balcony.
Thank you 🙂 XO
You’re welcome. 😉
Nice! We (especially my husband) are big space exploration geeks.
Thank you 🙂 XO
How cool! Our mom needs something to occupy herself other than taking a million pictures of us sleeping!
Thank you 🙂 XO
Cool tips Penny, and you look fetching today! We’ve always been into space. I remember when we watched the moon landing on TV. I’m that old, lol. Happy Tuesday to all!
Thank you 🙂 My mom was only a month old when that happened 🙂 XO

You’re welcome 🙂
Looking to the skies is a wonderful way to pass the time.
It is 🙂
What excellent ideas! Outer space is such an amazing place. It is hard to believe that all of those little bitty dots out there are really huge stars and planets. Sometimes the kitties and I sit out on my balcony at night and look out at the sky. 🙂
Thank you 🙂
Mom was up at the right time to see Neowise, but we have too many trees around, and she didn’t want to go out in the street. Maybe she’ll catch it another night. Did you see it Penny? XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer
No, we didn;t see it yet. XO

Great tips. We love ALF. Hope to see more of him.
Thank you 🙂
Alf! I watched that show as a kid. Brings back memories, haha.
That is a good show.
I’d love to see that comet, but I’m too lazy to get up before sunrise!
Me too 🙂
Penny, I’m so glad Alf hasn’t eaten any of you. That’s such a relief. And your tips are astronomical! I love learning about all things outer space, so I’ll definitely be checking these out. Purrs!
Thank you 🙂
