Penny’s Tips Volume 61

Hi everyone! I have a great tip for you today. I saw it in the book mom is reading about Lent. We should always do kind things, but especially during the Lenten season. A good way to keep this in mind is to take a jar and add a penny at the end of the day for every kind word or deed you did that day.

Mine is the full container, mom’s is empty. She had a few pennies in hers, but I took them out because she was mean to me. She kicks me out of the living room every time I try to kill hug Trouble.

We want to wish all our Jewish friends a Happy Purim! Rosie would not cooperate so Mama’s boy Sammy agreed to wear the Queen Esther costume.

We are joining Comedy Plus’ Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

  1. Sammy as Queen Esther???? PULEEEEEZE! No manly man cat should be forced to be a Queen for the day (or the month). HAHA

  6. I’m not Jewish but do try to understand it. What is Happy Purim?
Not surprised you have the full jar Penney. Love your tips Penney.

    1. Purim is a fun Jewish holiday calebrating when Queen Esther rescued her people. Many dress up in costumes like it is Halloween.
      Penny thanks you.

  7. This is a purrfect tip, Penny, especially for this time of year! Around here, the kitties would also have full jars and the human would have an empty one. Sammy, you make a purrfect Queen Esther! Or, is it King Esther?

  8. Great tip – our church usually does the rice bowl during Lent where the kids put small change in the bowl for Lent and then donate it to the poor at the end.

  9. For many years, we would put our change in the “rice bowl” from church during Lent. You would bring it in during Holy Week and the money went to a charity.

  10. What a great tip! It would be a reminder to try to especially watch my temper in traffic.

Thank you, Sammy, for being our Esther this year!
