Hi everyone! I have a great tip for you today. I saw it in the book mom is reading about Lent. We should always do kind things, but especially during the Lenten season. A good way to keep this in mind is to take a jar and add a penny at the end of the day for every kind word or deed you did that day.
Mine is the full container, mom’s is empty. She had a few pennies in hers, but I took them out because she was mean to me. She kicks me out of the living room every time I try to kill hug Trouble.
We want to wish all our Jewish friends a Happy Purim! Rosie would not cooperate so Mama’s boy Sammy agreed to wear the Queen Esther costume.
We are joining Comedy Plusβ Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
What a great thing to practice.
Thank you π
Kindness travels well! And is far reaching.
Sammy makes for a good Queen…um…King!
Thank you π XO
What a nice habit to have ! But are you sure you can take someone’s pennies in some cases, Penny ? Purrs
Thank you π Yes, I can do whatever I want- I am a tortie. XO
I like that idea… except I don’t think we have enough pennies for my therapy cat days!
Yes, you would need a lot more.
Sammy wears the Queen Esther costume well!
That is a good tip about being kind, Penny.
Thank you π XO
Sammy as Queen Esther???? PULEEEEEZE! No manly man cat should be forced to be a Queen for the day (or the month). HAHA
Hugs, Teddy
He didn’t mind, he will do anything to please his mom. XO
Hahaha, Penny! You are a funny girl! Sammy you can pull off the Queen Esther deal because you are such a manly cat!
Thank you π Sammy thanks you too. XO
I love the crown- but that cape! LOVE!
Penny, you must let your mom earn some pennies and leave them in her jar!

Mom was mean to you? Really. I find that hard to believe, but you did take her pennies. So cute.

MOL! Sammy thanks you. XO
Hugging or killing; it’s a fine line, Penny!
MOL! π
I’m not Jewish but do try to understand it. What is Happy Purim?
Not surprised you have the full jar Penney. Love your tips Penney.
Purim is a fun Jewish holiday calebrating when Queen Esther rescued her people. Many dress up in costumes like it is Halloween.
Penny thanks you.
Beautiful!
Thank you π
This is a purrfect tip, Penny, especially for this time of year! Around here, the kitties would also have full jars and the human would have an empty one. Sammy, you make a purrfect Queen Esther! Or, is it King Esther?
Thank you π Sammy doesn’t mind being Queen for a day. XO
What a lovely tip! xo
Thank you π
You show mom who’s boss, Penny! (I think her job should be full, though.)
Her JAR, not job…LOL
π
I disagree π
Great tip – our church usually does the rice bowl during Lent where the kids put small change in the bowl for Lent and then donate it to the poor at the end.
Woos, Lightning and Timber
Ours does too π
Oh, your mom is very kind. I hope you put her pennies back.. and maybe add a few more.
Only if she is nice to me π
That is a wonderful tip, Penny. And your mom should just let you be a tortie!
We think Sammy is a fetching Queen Esther!
Thank you π XO
For many years, we would put our change in the “rice bowl” from church during Lent. You would bring it in during Holy Week and the money went to a charity.
Same here π
Well, that’s a great idea and a wonderful way to remind ourselves to be kind.
Thank you π
What a great tip! It would be a reminder to try to especially watch my temper in traffic.
Thank you, Sammy, for being our Esther this year!
Thank you. π
