Penny’s Tips Volume 53

Hi everyone! Last week I started my series of how to save pennies ( and dollars) this Christmas/Hanukkah season.

My tip this week is to shop at online auctions. There are a lot of them this time of year and many also help a good cause. For example,  our friend, Andrea of Celestial Kitties there is one going right now to support Winnie’s Wish. Mom donated her two children’s books and there are lots of cat themed items like jewelry and home decor. To visit click here.

We are joining Comedy Plus’ Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

I have lots more tips- see you next week.

  1. Great tips! We visited Winnie’s Wish Auction and you’re right – lots of GREAT kitty-themed goodies there…….and some wonderful knit/crocheting too.

    Hugs, Teddy

  2. My mom is one of those who shops for birthdays and Christmas all year long so she doesn’t have to panic at the last minute, and it spreads the cost our over the year too.

  3. I just was over there at Winnie’s. I need some coffee though. Then I can go back.

Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday, Ellen. ♥

  4. You are very smart, Penny!
I’d never used Marketplace or Craigslist before, although they aren’t auction sites, but we found The ‘New’ Cat Car there. It’s good to think outside of one’s box.

  7. Hi Penny. UI LOVE when there is an auction. I have missed them. There is something I want, but I don’t want to bid again the highest bidder. They deserve to have what item and I can wait for another day.

  8. Penny, I love that your tip today inspires people to shop to benefit great causes. I just placed some bids for lovely items in the wonderful Winnie’s Wish auction. Purrs!
