Penny’s Tips Volume 2

Hi everyone! Before I give you my tip of the week, I want to wish my folks a Happy 25th Anniversary!

Now it is time for my tip. As you know, my folks went to Maine last Tuesday to meet Teddy’s wonderful folks. All they brought back for me was a penny. A flattened one at that.

  It says Kittery on it and has a duck stamped on it. A lot of tourist places have machines that you put 50 cents in and a penny then you turn a crank and it turns the penny into a little souvenir. My tip is to look for one when you are traveling that way you only spend 50 cents on a souvenir and it won’t even take up much space.

One more thing–yesterday, Joanie told you about the movie mom was in and some of you commented on planning to watch it. Thank you, we appreciate that, but do want to warn you there is some bad language and the start may have something that turns you off of the entire movie, but please stay with it. Mom is the comedy relief and quite proud of her small performance including rolling off the bed 🙂

I am off to go play with our new Halloween scratcher that arrived today . We won it from Summer-thank you! I hope I can make Brody get out of it. We will show more photos of it on Thursday along with the other fun toys Summer sent us too.

    1. We are working on a time share agreement, but Brody thinks he deserves more time than the rest of us 🙂

  7. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO YOUR MOM AND DAD! My Mom was with your Mom when she did your penny for you…..cool machine – Mom had never seen that before. Looks like your Halloween scratcher is a BIG HIT. What a fun place to hide. Brody looks like he’s right at home……tee hee.

  9. Congrats to Mom & Dad on another year of togetherness! That’s wonderful, wonderful mews and I know you and your siblings are happy for them. How thoughtful they brought you back a souvenir. Do y’all live close to Maine? I can’t remember. Maybe I have furballs in my brain or maybe I just need another cup of coffee. Don’t worry, I’ll have a spot of milk in mine. Oh, you said to hold the coffee and you’ll take a spot of milk. Ok, I can do that. Anywho, your folks went to Kittery. We passed through there years ago. Our youngest daughter and her husband are fixing to move to Portland in less than 2-weeks. I’m going to miss her like crazy. I feel like a piece of my heart is leaving. 🙁 Alright, yesterday I visited and I read that about your mom’s part in a movie and I think it just didn’t register but…WOW how cool is that?! That’s just neat. Have an awesome day!

    1. Thank you. We are 2 and a half hours from Kittery, we are in western Mass. I know you are nervous for your daughter, I hope she can get a job there.

  21. I am saving your film for the weekend. I remember the last one I watched, and I lived until the end! They been pressing pennies since 1893 I read. I have a 1907 Indian head penny with the Lord’s Prayer squished into the back of it! Now it is a duck!

  40. Mommy got a penny like that at Pikes Market in Seattle! But hers had a cat on it. Your scratcher house is coolio. Mommy thought about getting me one when she went to the States, but they were sold out!
