Hi everyone! Have you been missing me?
Mom came home yesterday with a bag of big macs.
Not the kind I was hoping for either.
It did remind me of some fun apple crafts you can make to decorate with this time of year.
You can make an apple out of an old book. I know a lot of people don’t like to cut up books, but a lot are obsolete like old horoscope books.
You remove the book cover. Then you draw half an apple on the first page and cut around it. You do that with all the pages. Then you open the book and fold it backward and hot glue it at the binding so it will stay open. Then keep hot gluing between the pages. When it is complete, you can spray paint it red or paint it with a paint brush. Then add a piece of branch for the stem. I cut out a book worm and painted him green too.
You can also make an apple with some colored paper.
Just fold a paper the long way and draw 3 half apples- cut them out and do that with 2 more papers.
Then use a glue stick to glue the folder apples together. Here is a video I found to make it easier.
We are joining Comedy Plus’ Happy Tuesday Blog Hop and Create with Joy’s Inspire Me Monday.

Thanks for that great idea, Penny! I bet the residents at petcretary’s work would love to make those too.
Thank you. I think the paper ones would be easier for them as the books are hard to cut. XO

Chaplin: “McIntosh apples! Our Mama loves those, but you never see them for sale here in Southern California. Just like Concord grapes. Things you can only get back East, I guess …”
We grow our own Concords and make jelly.
