Penny’s Tips Volume 103

Hi everyone! What a week I had.

There was a mini human here. She actually took this photo of me which is why  I look so grumpy.

I heard mom telling Grammie she ate some frogs over the weekend. I can’t believe she didn’t even give me a taste of one.

She didn’t mean real frogs you silly girl. She meant she was finishing projects she didn’t want to do like her latch hook kit and finally getting all the catnip off the stems.  Don’t you have a string to go chase on tv?

Anyway, today is K day for The A-Z Blogging Challenge and being kind to others makes them happy and it will make you happy too, but I know you are all kind. If you want to do something extra special, you could join The Kindness Rocks Project.

I know we have written about it before, but mom loves it. You paint rocks and leave them for people to find and brighten their day. Mom leaves a lot by the library and they are always gone by the next time she goes back. You don’t have to be a great artist to do this, even kids can join in the fun.

These are some mom made last year.

And she recently left the cat in the hat one by the library. The rock one, she kept the lightbulb.

Have you ever found a painted rock?

  1. We know petcretary has not ever found any painted rocks, but some of her friends got together once when she wasn’t there and made a bunch…he got one of those:) It has a beach scene on it!

That mini human sure took a great picture!!

  2. I am glad your mom didn’t really eat frogs. Did you know they make your mouth froth? Eric and Flynn discovered that when they found one and wanted to play with it.

  3. We’ve never seen painted rocks around here – but what a wonderful thing to do…..I know how excited kids must be to find one and your Mom does a GREAT job painting them! We love the GRINCH!

    Hugs, Teddy

  4. Sounds like you’ve been busy! I’ve never painted rocks but I totally could do that. I already have the paints.

  5. People have been leaving painted rocks in our neighborhood too. It sure cheers us up to see them. We think the mini human did a nice job photographing you!

  6. Well, Rosie, I didn’t know that term either. 🙂 And Penny, I never tired of seeing your mom’s art, so thank you for sharing.

  7. Leaving a painted rock sounds like fun, someone has left a couple of them at the cat shelter. We have them on the desk by the window so everyone who passes an see them. Your rocks make me smile, they are special.

  8. Aw, I think you’re adorable and you don’t look like you’re grumpy at all.

I’ve only found one painted rock in my lifetime and I’ve old. I left it, because less is more here.

Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches to all the kitties and a hug to mom. ♥

    1. Thank you. 🙂 That was nice of you to leave it for someone else to enjoy. XO

  9. What an exciting weekend and I think you don’t look that grumpy. Bet you had some fun too. We love those Rocks and Dad so misses not being able to walk around. Enjoy every day friends as you never know what tomorrow brings

  10. Little ones can be exhausting, but they are fun too, especially if they drop crumbs on the floor:)

  11. Oh gosh Penny and Mom Ellen, my mom LOVES finding painted rocks. She hasn’t in well over a year. She missed the fin of finding them. She takes a picture, posts it in our local FB rocks page and leaves it there.

  12. We have a lot of painted rocks in our village. You can find them everywhere! We only ever found one in Vancouver. That was in a kids play area where Mom used to walk Cinnamon when Cinnamon went to work with her (Before Me – Marv). Mom has made a few and has left them in all kinds of places. And Penny and Rosie, very nice pictures of you! We hope you and your family have a marvellously happy day!

  13. I think the rocks are very neat! What a blessing to anybody who finds one!

  14. It sounds like you kitties and your mom have been keeping busy! And I would love to find a painted rock. That would make my day. And if it looked anything like your adorable painted rocks, it would be the best day ever. Purrs!
