Penny is Mad

Hi everyone! Today is the last day of The A-Z Challenge. This month sure went by quickly. Z is for zyrtec, I highly recommend it for kitty allergies. Always ask your vet first though. Prancie has had allergies for years and was always puling off her tummy fir and her leg fur. Special diets helped a little, but it was tough to keep her from stealing another cat’s food. She had been on prednisone different times too, but I find the zyrtec safer for long term use. She gets 1/4 tablet ( original 5 mg, not extra strength or D) and now she has her furs back. Please check with your vet before starting this though.

Sorry everyone, but I am mad at my mom so no tips today. She took me to the vet yesterday. The tech put a thermometer where the sun don’t shine and they took my blood and I got a rabies vaccine!

Quit your complaining! At least you knew you would come home. I was scared! And the tech did the same thing to me with the thermometer. AndΒ  I got a rabies vaccine and a distemper shot.

They took my blood too. And the worst part was I am the biggest so I had to use the pink PTU. How humiliating.

I guess I had the easy part- hauling 3 cats around and paying the $500 bill.

  1. OMC! Three at once. You guys had better had gotten treats when you got home.
I thought the Zyrtec was for humans who are allergic to cats. TW takes it sometimes since she claims she’s allergic to cats.

  2. Bear used to overgroom his belly. Interestingly enough, he isn’t anymore now that Ellie’s here. You’d think it Ellie would make things worse. Then again, Bear’s getting older so maybe that has something to do with it.

  3. Uh oh, grumpy Kitties could mean the dreaded smacky paw…I finks I’ll keep a low profile for a bit
Butt, a least you won’t have to go to see Mr Vetman fur a while now
    Loves and licky kisses

  4. Oh my! No wonder you’re a little bit upset with Mom…..BUTTT remember she’s trying to protect you and make sure you’re in tip-top shape. The thermometer doesn’t really HURT after all – it just goes in a private spot so we’re not real happy about that. Now that it’s all over, it wasn’t all THAT bad right???

    Hugs, Teddy

  5. We hope you get a discount when you bring multiple cats to the vet at once. We do, and we try to schedule two or more together when we can to save a bit of money.

  6. You poor babies! Butttt, don’t be mad at mom because she’s doing what’s best for you. πŸ™‚ Hive fives and fist bumps and be kind to one another.

  7. I’ve never known a cat that liked to go to the vet. I can see why you’re not happy with mom. Yikes on that bill. That’s a lot of green papers.

Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday, all you angry kitties. My best to your mom. β™₯

  8. It is very convenient taking multiple cats to the vet at once to cut down on the number of trips back and forth, but you don’t seem to get a “family” discount for bringing in more than one!

  9. Hey kitties Daisy Mae here. I know it is not fun but don’t be to hard on your human Mom. She’s doing what’s best for you. Those diseases are not good news either. Be nice to your Mommy.

  10. We give Mom credit for getting you all to the vet for whats needed. They steal our blood every year to make sure we are healthy and thats a good thing. Sammy I have a blue carriers so feel for you buddy

  11. shop vac…itz oh kay dood….gram paw dude hada pink blankit; used it, lived for it, loved it πŸ˜‰ β™₯β™₯

  12. A visit to the vet where you get preventive vaccines and get told you are healthy come back next year is a good thing. It’s when they find something wrong and you have to keep going back that it becomes awful.

  13. The most cats that I’ve had to the vet at once is two, and that was hard to do…cannot image three! I’m thinking that better PTUs would do the trick.

  14. OMC is your vet’s name Dracula…😹Pawkisses for a Happy Tuesday🐾😚😻

  15. Poor Penny! Ivan knows exactly how you feel (and the others, too)! We are amazed that your mom took all three of you at once! Long ago our mom was able to double up with William and Olivia, but if she had to do all of *us* these days, she’d run out of the house screaming instead!

Thanks for the month of tips. They were great!

  16. We all go to the Vet at the same time. That way, no one smells weird or is more stressed than the other 2. TBT goes a bit nuts getting us all into the PTUs though. But thats HIS problem…

  17. Good idea getting it all done in one trip. Not fun for the kitties but you are a good and caring mom to make sure they are taken care of. Hugs and nose kisses

  18. Wow! They all went together? Our mom can’t bring both of us at the same time. She says it’s too hard lugging us up and down from the third floor in our building and walking us to the car. And then back. We’re glad you’re all healthy.

  19. None of my kitties seem to have allergies, but my co-worker’s cat does, and zyrtec works wonders for him. If I ever have a kitty with allergies, I’ll certainly be keeping zyrtec in mind. I sure am sorry you kitties had to go that dreaded V-E-T place, but will you believe me if I tell you it’s for your own good? Purrs!

  20. Charlee: “We don’t blame you for being mad, Penny. We don’t like going to the vet either. Chaplin in particular hates when the vet does those things to him, don’t you, Chaplin?”
Chaplin: “I don’t wish to discuss it!”
