October is a Great Month for Cat Books

Happy Friday everyone! First off, Congratulations to Kitty Cat Chronicles for correctly guessing the question in the newsletter- the answer was Salem from Sabrina the Teenage Witch. And because Dezi and Lexi were so close, I am sending them some of my made with love toys and a dash of silvervine. I checked and the newsletter got sent out so if you signed up and didn’t get one please check your SPAM folder. If it isn’t there then please sign up again.

Lucy chose a book about a black cat, being that it is October and Halloween is coming. 019The Autobiography of Foudini M. Cat by Susan Fromberg Schaeffer is a sweet book written in the cat’s view. It is fiction, but still gives insight into the cat’s mind. My only issue ( not Lucy’s) was that the cat isn’t neutered. I think all cats ficticious or not should be fixed.

I actually don’t have a review this week, I have been too busy freezing 100 ears of corn ( I had to take it all off the cob) and making ground cherry jam. I am excited that several books about cats are coming out this month. You all know Jackson Galaxy’s Catification will be released soon. I also just read about a book that gives cat ladies a better rep, it is called Cat Lady Chic by Diane Lovejoy. And another one, The Cat on My Lap by Callie Smith Grant , a collection of stories about cats, will also come out in October. I am going to be doing a lot of reading this month.

Here is a photo one of Lucy’s previous costumes: 004She was Lucy from the Peanuts comic strip. All I did was paint a piece of cardboard red , add the spot for her head and the words.

We just joined the blog hop:Pet Parade #bloghop for #petbloggers #cats #dogs #pets any #animals

    1. Lucy says thank you, that was a couple years ago. She is the oldest so she has had lots of costumes, I will be showing more of hers as the month goes on.

    1. You’re welcome, I love making the toys too- I am making ghosts for Halloween and I am going to try to make turkey legs for Thanksgiving.

    1. Lucy says thank you. Yes, it is a lot of corn, but it keeps a long time in the freezer and tastes so good in the middle of winter.

  1. Thank you for telling us about the cat books. We love anything about cats. That’s pawsome that your mom is freezing corn and making jam. Mom says it’s extra tasty in the winter because it reminds you of summer. Lucy’s costume is so cute your mom is super creative! Concats to the winners of your contest. Love, Cali, Andy, Tater and Shelly (C.A.T.S)

Pee Ess: Sammy there is a Cat Scouts birthday pawty tomorrow for all October Birthdays. It is in the Birthday Party Den and it lasts all day. Hope to see you there. Andy

    1. Sammy will be there Andy- thank you for the reminder. His birthday was 9/30, does he still get to go and wish all the October kitties a Happy Day? I love everything cats too- clothes, home decor, books, movies, and of course real cats.

      1. The party is for all of the Cat Scouts. The cats that have a birthday/gotcha day are honored. Each month has a theme and Oct is autumn. I really hope to see you there!
