Hi everyone! Thank you for the Blogoversary wishes yesterday. Today is actually the big day- 9 years of blogging. To see the first post, click here.

Back is 2015, there were 15 cats here, sadly, only 2 of them are still here. Penny and Joanie are part of the original crew.  The others are all angels now- Lucy, Stinky, Spooky, Snowball ,Phoebe, Tallulah, Noel, KaTwo, Prancie, Millie, Polar Bear,Jinx,  Sammy .  Emmy and Drake also joined the crew as older kitties and already left us.

Now there is me, Joanie, Friday, Penny, Elvira, Trouble, Lucy (2), Ethel, Bridget, Brody, Tuffy, Rudy and Rusty. That is the order of how I like them from best to worst, as you can see , the boys annoy me- they always chase me.

I am trying to be a good reporter, but I don’t know if I will ever be as great as my idol, Dori. She does something called Breaking News and she even talks. If you haven’t seen her yet, click here. I wish I could learn how to speak human. Dori even has a naughty brother named  A**rabbit. I have two brothers that should have that name too. Speaking of them, Rusty is such a trash picker. My folks had to put the bathroom waste basket in the bathroom closet and every time Rusty hears that door open, he comes running and sticks his head right in to look for q-tips. I don’t mind batting one around from time to time, but he likes to eat the ends- ick!

Mom has been annoyed that Dad hasn’t mowed the lawn yet, but my friends at Adventures in Cheeseland saved the day. They wrote about something called No Mow May to help feed the bees. To read about it, click here.

Poor Tuffy had a rough night on Saturday. He sits on the couch when mom is on it, and she couldn’t resist. She wanted to pet him, so she tossed a blanket over him and tried- boy, did he freak out. He hid for a whole hour. Mom is lucky that he is treat motivated, so he forgave her.

I know mom told you I was going to have juicy bits on my siblings, but I think they would get mad if I dirtied their fur with juicy bits and if I find some juicy bits, I plan to eat them up.

    Its pawsome that your Mom sticks with it so long. We also started in 2014, but the blog we have now, got changed in 2016 to the current combined one. Two was a bit much! (We had cat and doggy blogs)
    Now I have a good excuse not to mow our lawn this week, LOL!!
    Our doggy cousin used to raid the waste basket, too…for the tissues, LOL!

    When petcretary tried to rush our first kitty into having cuddles he also freaked out and peed all over her, YUCK!! Later he allowed it on his own terms….

  6. Oh, how glad we all are that your blog began, Rosie, and oh, those sweet angel kitties with such beautiful names….sigh. As for juicy bits, keep them ALL to yourself, for all the work you do keeping the peace!

  7. Happy blogoversary! Ivor has an obsession with mowing the lawn and does it every few days. We have lots of flowers for the bees though.

  8. Well now – I believe you gave us a lot of juicy bits Rosie! I’m thinking your Mom feels like the time has just flown by since she started her blog about her wonderful cat family AND her own adventures. We are avid followers (Mom’s words because I don’t know what an “avid” is!). We love all the updates and my Mom and Dad are looking forward to seeing your Mom and Dad in a few months!!!

  9. Someone has to tell the household gossip right? I believe it’s called controlling the narrative. I take the role in my house! My Mom says that she didn’t realize you started blogging at the same time as we did! It took us awhile to find our people online, but we started in 2015 too. Happy blogoversary!

  17. First, happy blogoversary! We know we’re not alone when we say that we’re so glad you started this blog.

    Rosie, we happen to think you’re a purrfect reporter! We really enjoyed these updates, all the way to Rusty eating the ends of q-tips. At our house, Winky is the q-tip thief. She’s addicted to ear wax. Her sister Tonks thinks that’s disgusting. Purrs to all of you!

It was good to get a refresher about the Meowing Crew. It is sad to see how many sweet cats have gone over the Rainbow but they were loved by lots of us peeps. I mean, I can see where chewing on a Q-Tip might be fun, but stealing food that the humans were just going to throw away is like performing an ecological service.”

    1. Rusty is all for that. He is not allowed in the kitchen, but he sneaks in and goes right for the trash.

  20. Lots of news, we took a while to mow as well – but we blamed it on the weather.

  22. The problem with no-mow-May is neighbors and city-parish ordinances. People don’t care about the bees, just home values.

  28. That’s so much loss in such a short period of time 🙁 Dori is adorable. I had to mow earlier than ever this year. We got a lot of rain and the grass shot right up. Happy Blogoversary!!!
