Nailed It

Hi everyone! We are joining Athena’s Caturday Art Blog Hop and Rascal and Rocco’s Pet Parade.

This is our art for today. I don’t know why I thought a 2 and a half year old could do button art. It actually isn’t bad, it just doesn’t look like Peppa the Pig, well, maybe after a tornado. I am going to try to make one for her, but I have a feeling mine won’t look like Peppa either.

Once again Joanie was a willing model. She is sporting ear muffs, a flower headband and a straw hat.

And for anyone interested, we made a puzzle for The All Star Game this week.

  1. Peppa the Pig post-tornado is a most interesting button art project for The Great One……it’s colorful anyway! Joanie is the most patient cat EVER letting herself become a model for just about anything and everything. LOL

    Hugs, Teddy

  2. Love The Great Ones little hands working her magic on Joanie! The straw hat is just so Joanie… LOL! I bet TGO had a great time doing her art with you, you are such a fun great Aunt! That puzzle is going to be toughie. Perfect for this rainy day!

  3. Joanie is a real sweetheart! Love that she is so patient like that.

I think the art is pretty good. Lots of pretty colours.

  4. Love the button art. Kids love this don’t they. Keeps them occupied.

Joanie is a great model. A natural.

Have a purrfect day. My best to your peeps. ♥

    1. I enjoy button art too, but I am a giant child 🙂 Joanie is a sweet girl. XO

  5. The point of letting littles do art is just to let them have fun. As i recall, it usually doesn’t look like anything we recognize for the first few years. As long as they know what it is and enjoyed creating it, it’s all good.

  6. Every artist has their own interpretation of their subject. The Great One is obviously very advanced: she doesn’t depict Peppa so much as she suggests the idea of Peppa. Masterpiece! 🙂

  7. It looks like the little one had a lot of fun during her visit. We think her button art is pretty darn good for a 2 year old.

Joanie, nice work cooperating with a toddler:)

Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber

  8. That’s funny. Sweet kitty. ~grin~ Thank you for the kind words on my blog. Do you have a picture of your sweet Snowball with the lion cut? That look always makes me grin.

  9. Thanks for the share. If a tornado hit it has us laughing so hard right now. It’s close enough we believe. Joanie is always the perfect model. Shes wearing everything so well. Hope you are having fun and have a wonderful weekend.

  10. Well, the art is quite colorful, and hopefully the process was fun! 🙂
Isn’t Joanie a good sport! Not a lot of cats would sit still for that.

  11. Joanie, you are a good and patient kitty. We hope you got some extra treats after your dress-up session. We think Peppa Pig never looked so good. Just like beauty, art is in the eye of the beholder. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer

  12. Joanie, could you give my kitties tips on being willing models? They could use some professional advice on that. Also, the button art is too cute! And I love the title of your post. I just finished watching the showed called Nailed It on Netflix. On that show, novice bakers try to recreate intricate baked goods, and the results are hilarious. We hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

    1. Joanie is an excellent model, so patient. I didn’t realize there was a show called Nailed It. I was just thinking of photos on Pinterest like that 🙂

    1. If we had one, she would wear it. You are right, the button art does look like that. Great job on the puzzle! XO

  13. I think the button art is really good for a 2 and a half year old. I can’t draw a pig, much less make one out of buttons.
