We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww….Mondays and Book Date’s It’s Monday! What Are YOU Reading?And we are also joining Mewsic Moves Me (hosted by Curious as a Cathy, Xmas Dolly, JAmerican Spice and Stacy Uncorked.)

The theme this week is a tough one, things you like about autumn. I love everything about it, apples, Halloween, colder weather and more, but I had a tough time finding songs. The words to the songs don’t fit, but the titles do and I like all the songs so here they are:

  3. We like Autumn too. The air smells fresh, it is not sticky hot and the leaves are pretty 🙂 The song Autumn Leaves is cool as it talks about leaves falling by your window.As cats we would want to catch them 😉

    Sinatra singing about autumn in New York makes me wanna wrap up in a sweater. I know the weather is cooler in your neck of the woods than here in East Tennessee. I think DD#2 said temps in Maine last week were in the low 60s which sounded really nice compared to our still summer heat. Your song selection #2 was introduced to me by DD#2. Every day I hear Green Day I’m reminded of my kids being at home. How I cherish those days, too. “Colder Weather” is definitely on the rise and while I’m looking forward to things cooling down, I won’t be happy when colder weather arrives. Thanks for sharing the dance floor with the 4M gang today, my friend. Have a joyful close to September!

  12. Oh, I love this autumnal topic! I really should start participating in this musical fun. My #1 choice this week probably would have been “This Is Halloween” from The Nightmare Before Christmas.

  15. We all love fall here too. Mom says it is her favorite season. It is our second favorite – we Siberians really love winter the most, especially if we can get lucky and have some snow.

    1. PS Thanks for the well wishes regarding Tilly. I should clarify, she seems to feel fine, and the vet tech gave me hope today that she will show no infection, especially because she’s not exhibiting unusual behavior. Remembering how she played in her water bowl when she really did have a UTI eases my mind in retrospect. Turns out the test is more about kidney function, and infection testing is just routine. Wish they’d told me that earlier. They don’t know about my runaway imagination. ~grin~

  22. Autumn is my favorite season. I love the jewel colors and smells. And, it ushers in soup season!! Cabo is a much happier walking with me on cool mornings than in the summer.

    Before I even mention your great song choices, I was completely taken with Penny’s beauty! Wow, she is an absolutely gorgeous kitty! What colors! She reminds me of Autumn leaves. She could be the poster kitty for the season! 🙂

    Great songs, Frank Sinatra’s is of course a classic and I really like Green Day’s song. Zac Brown’s “Colder Weather” is new to me and it’s really good so thanks for the introduction!

  35. An interesting thing about autumn songs – so many of them seem melancholy. Green Day’s song, to me, has always been about 9/11 – for others, it calls to them because of family deaths in September. Colder Weather is a new one for me, and I can interpret it two ways – either a rambling type man or someone in deep depression. Either way, it’s a deep song. Right now, the sun is shining where I live in upstate New York, and it looks like it will be a beautiful fall day. Hope you had a good week!

  36. hello 15andmeowing its dennis the vizsla dog hay my dada sez he is a big fan of that wayk me up wen september ends song!!! he also sez that september has not ended yet i thawt it wuz on akkownt of its not kwite october but he sez no september has ben going on a lot longer then september i hav no ideea wot he is tawking abowt as yoozhual!!! ok bye
