It’s Monday! What Are YOU Reading?

Hi everyone! We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww….Mondays and Book Date’s It’s Monday What are YOU Reading?

I have been busy with Halloween decorating and taking cats to the vet so I only read one book this week. Wild Ride Home: Love, Loss and a Little White Horse, a Family Memoir by Christine Hemp was a great memoir. The author tells of her life and how horses have made it better. I learned a lot about horses and training them even though I will never use that information it was still interesting.

Joanie hopes she is awwww….worthy.

Penny will be here tomorrow with a Halloween Giveaway.

  1. Horses are magical creatues. What a wonderful subject to pepper a memoire. Mama is a novel-reader right now since sometimes her reading time is a short little escape from the day’s demands. But oh, how we loved Possums Are Not Cute and fell more in love with possi than ever.

  2. Joanie is always Awww worthy. All your kitties are.

    Looks like a good read.

Shee iss reedin “THE Last Second” bye Miss Catherine Coulter.
Here iss THE plot of story fore you:
Galactus, France’s answer to SpaceX, has just launched a communications satellite into orbit, but the payload actually harbors a frightening weapon: a nuclear-triggered electromagnetic pulse.

When the satellite is in position, Galactus’s second-in-command, Dr. Nevaeh Patel, will have the power to lay waste to the world with an EMP. A former astronaut, Patel believes she is following the directions of the Numen, aliens who saved her life when she space-walked outside the International Space Station. She is convinced that with the Holy Grail, just discovered by the owner of Galactus—eccentric treasure hunter Jean-Pierre Broussard—she can be reunited with the Numen, change the world’s destiny, and become immortal with them.

The countdown has begun when Special Agents Nicholas Drummond and Michaela Caine are thrown into the pending disaster. They must stop the EMP that would wreak havoc on communication and electronic systems on Earth, resulting in chaos and anarchy.

With their signature “nonstop action with enough realism to keep you thinking and scare the daylights out of you at the same time” (Suspense Magazine), Coulter and Ellison have created a thriller to take you on a breakneck and breathtaking journey.

    1. Joanie thanks you. I know your mum would love this book. The book she is reading is something my hubby would love- he is big into Sci-fi.
      Happy Canadian Thanksgiving! XO

  5. Oh yes Joanie is AWWW-worthy. Her lovely colours seem to be reflected in the book cover. It seems like Joanie would like to get into it after you’re done with it. This doesn’t mean she will read it, but all those pages sure would be good for scratching.

  6. Memoirs are good reads. You don’t have to know anything about anything if the author reels you in then you’ll enjoy the experience through their world of words.
