It’s Monday! What Are YOU Reading?

Hi everyone! Sorry , but Joanie will not be doing a book review. She has some trouble with her “gremlins”.

  Help!! They iz multiplying.

We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awwww….Mondays, McGuffy’s Reader’s Sparks and Book Date’s It’s Monday! What Are YOU Reading?

Emmy is posing with A Bump in the Road by Roby Sweet. I am sure most of you are familiar with her Miss. Cuddlywump’s Investigates series, but I am a little late to the party. I have been following her blog, The Cuddlywumps Cat Chronicles for a long time.

A Bump in the Road is the first in a series of five mysteries. I really enjoyed this book and didn’t want it to end so I am thrilled there are four more to read and Christmas is coming ( hint, hint Mom). Miss Cuddlywumps is a beautiful and very intelligent calico cat that is adopted by a 40-something year old single woman named Rory.

Miss Cuddlywumps happens to witness a murder in Rory’s front yard. She attempts to investigate it herself, but is caught every time she sneaks out. I am in love with Miss Cuddlywumps and enjoyed reading her efforts to help solve the murder.

And here is my Spark for the week. “A minute of thought is worth more than an hour of talk.” from the book , How Would Buddha Think by Barbara Ann Kipfer.

  1. Miss Cuddlywumps sounds like a great (and smart) kitty, Emmy. We will have to check out this book. 🙂

And Joanie, we hope you get that gremlin thing sorted out!

  2. The Words by Jean-Paul Sartre, Why I Write by George Orwell (okay so I’ve read it before but it bears reading again and again…) Les Fleurs du Mal by Baudelaire and Rape of the Fair Country by Alexander Cordell.

  3. I have heard so many good things about the Miss Cuddlywumps series. I really need to read it!

P.S. Did you get the gremlins wet, Joanie? I hear if you get a gremlin wet they’ll multiply. Oh, and don’t feed them after midnight!

  4. That sounds like my kind of book.We are going to have to check that one out. Great Spark. You all have a great Tuesday.

  5. An investigative cat — mine only investigate the food bowl! It does sound like a fascinating read.

Thinking before we speak is a great place to start adding good to the world.

  6. Joanie cracks me up with her gremlins… I think she is counting them! I need to check the link for Cuddlywumps. I am not going to PROcrastinate with this book. I like that it is a series. I think that is a “thoughtful” Spark.

  7. We are reading Black Cats Tell All … Mr. M plans to blog about this, tomorrow, but it’s a beautiful book that any cat lover would love to get as a gift (that’s a hint – Christmas is coming….)

  13. Thanks, ladies. I have not read that series.

Oh, Joanie! Gremlins can be very difficult. Especially if you feed them after midnight or get them wet! We are Gremlin fans here, though. We like to watch them at Christmas. “Ho-ho-Hi-ho…”
