It’s Monday! What Are YOU Reading?

Happy Monday everyone! We are triple hopping today with Comedy Plus’ Awww…. Mondays, McGuffy’s Reader’s SPARKS and Book Date’s It’s Monday! What Are YOU Reading?

Joanie will not be reviewing a book today.

I haz no time to read. I find 3 gremlins* and need to take care of them.

I have been reading All Hands on Pet! Your How-To Guide on Home Physical Therapy Methods for Pets by Susan E. Davis PT.*

*I received a free copy of All Hands on Pet ! in exchange for a fair review. All opinions are my own.

When I accepted the free copy of All Hands on Pet! I had no idea I would be needing it. It has actually come in very handy in dealing with Prancie. This book is filled with a wealth of information for all pets, although the main focus is dogs.

It covers many health issues and the treatments available. I finally learned what an Assisi Loop is, I had seen them in giveaways, but never understood why they are therapeutic. I also learned that reptiles can get gout.

For Prancie, I am using the spreadsheet for managed care to keep track of her medicines ( ear drops and thyroid pills) as well as her condition. There are many photos showing where to rub dogs for massage and therapy so if you are a dog owner, I highly recommend this.

And now for my SPARK this week, it is a quote I found on Pinterest.

“People who winder whether the glass is half empty or half full are missing the point. The glass is refillable.” I think it was a joke about wine, but it made me think about life in general and how we can add anything to our glass ( lives) so why worry about the full or empty just fill it with what you want.

*Please don’t tell Joanie those are not gremlins, they are furbies.

  1. The book sounds pretty good. I’ve taken a class in dog massage…maybe this will help round out my practices. Thanks!

  2. We have one of those (gremlins, aka furbies) at my house… and it talks! My human has had it since the cat before Sparkle.

  3. Ellen,

Interesting book. I’m sure other pet owners might like to know about it. I enjoyed your quote. The glass is always refillable! Have a sparktacular day!

  4. That sounds like a really informative book for anyone with pets. That’s a great quote for your SPARK. Hope you have a great week!

  5. Sounds like useful book for dog owners – although it’s great you were able to apply some of it to the kitties! As for the “gremlins” – they are adorable and I should imagine they will be good company for Joanie once she decides they won’t eat her! Love your SPARK today too…..

    Hugs, Pam

  6. Joanie… LOL! Had a furbie but I don’t know what happened to it. I hate to say it but I am still not reading a book. I should be but I just find myself too distracted to read. So many things to do and not enough quiet time to curl up and read. Your Spark is excellent… I love it.

    1. I hope you get to read soon, it is a great way to relax. Glad you like the Spark 🙂

  7. The secret is safe with me, i’m glad Joanie is just keeping busy and enjoying it.

Massage is good for so many animals, we were born to love touch, weren’t we?

Was it George Carlin who said something about the glass being the wrong size? Your quote is right, we can refill the glass or even get a new one if we have to.

  8. Sure sounds like such an interesting book. Great review too. Hope Prancie is still doing all right. Have a fantastic week.

  9. Joanie, you sure have your paws full there! Those Gremlins sure are cute, though!
That is an important book, and I am sure it is valuable to most pet owners. Thanks for the review.
This Sparks is a favourite of mine. As a realist, I agree. Half full, half empty…it does not matter. Fill and refill as needed.
Thank you for this wisdom. HUGS.

  10. Awww, and you’re taking good care of the gremlins too. Purrfect job.

I love the glass half full or half empty. Yes fill it with whatever good stuff you want.

Have a purrfect Awww Monday. ♥

  11. All Hands on Pet sounds like one of those good books to read and have around. Our Mom loves reading about that kind of information, whether she will ever use it or not. MOL! She’s in the middle of reading right now, choosing to ignore that she is still, STILL, only halfway through re-reading Stephen King’s It, but having finished reading a couple of other less-dense books in the meantime. Good Spark quote!

        1. I am glad your mum reads to you. I usually read with my cats near me, but rarely read to them. Joanie sends you head rubs and I send chin scritches. XO

  13. Very inspirational quote. I always try to be an optimist and look at the glass half-fill but this definitely changes the game!
I wonder what kind of massages Cats would like to receive?

    Have a wonderful Monday!

    1. Cats like to be touched, well most do, but not actual massage though.I hope you had a nice day too.

    1. I don’t know about new ones, these were my nieces so I brought them to her daughter, but my niece made me bring them home because they are annoying 🙂 XO

  14. Great SPARK! But here, if its half empty, Marv has been drinking out of it!!!
I just read Servant of the Crown Mysteries, 3 Book Box Set by Denise Domning. In this series, set in 1194, Sir Faucon de Ramis and his side kick Brother Edmund mix medieval life and murder mysteries. I LOVED them and can’t wait to read more!
The Hairy Slobbery sister Bob had a furby! She loved it too bits!
    Love Barb

    1. That is funny that Marv likes drinking out of glasses. Sounds like you have been busy reading. XO and love to you both.

  15. Sounds innerestn’ gawjus Joanie. Mommy has a book ’bout accupurressure fur kitties. She uses it all da time. And, we luv it. Big hugs

    Luv ya’
