It’s Monday ! What Are YOU Reading?

Hi everyone! We are joining Book Date’s It’s Monday! What Are YOU Reading? blog hop and Comedy Plus’ Awww….Mondays blog hop.

This is Phoebe’s photo that was supposed to be on yesterday’s blog, this time I bought her some treats instead of Grammie.

  Very Awww….worthy.

I have had more time to read lately so here are my latest:

  1. It’s Not Okay:Turning Heartbreak Into Happily Never After by Andi Dorfman is such a shallow bunch of crap. It is on the best seller list so I thought I would give it a try, but I should know that anyone on The Bachelor and Bachelorette wouldn’t be very deep.
  2. L’art de la Simplicite How To Live More With Less by Dominique Loreau is more my style. As you know, I am always decluttering and this book makes you ask a lot of questions about one’s possessions. There are also sections on simplifying your cleaning routine, wardrobe and meals.
  3. Highly Sensitive People in an Insensitive World by Isle Sand was excellent. For anyone who is introverted or gets mentally exhausted when out in the world, this is the book for you. It has a lot of wonderful suggestions for getting through things instead of making up excuses to not attend. Reading it made me feel like I am not crazy, just very sensitive.

I also want to tell you about a sale on Jeanne Foguth’s books. As you know, she dedicated her most recent one,The Vi-Purrs to our Angel Spooky. One of them, Red Claw is currently free and the rest are all half off until March 11th. Please check her website for more information-click here.

  1. Nice selfie Phoebe! I see you’re guarding your treats. Good – in a house full of kitties it pays to be vigilant! Your Mom sure does get a lot of reading done considering she has to keep up with all of you! Good for her………

    Love, Angel Sam and Ted

  2. You are looking as gorgeous as ever, Phoebe! And those treats look delicious! We always enjoy knowing what you’re reading, and we appreciate that your reviews are always honest. We’ll skip that first book, thanks to your advice, but the other two sound very helpful.

  3. It would probably take more than a book to teach me to live simply! Thanks for the reviews.

  4. Very, very awww worthy, indeed. Phoebe is a very pretty girl cat.

I’m reading The Total Package by Stephanie Evanovich.

          2. You don’t want to hear anything violent, I don’t want you to be scared my sweet boy. XO and head rubs and paw kisses

  6. Sweet Phoebe, looks like you have everything you need today. Our Mom is wrapping up reading her beginning French book (still can’t speak the language, though) and getting ready to dive back into her 2017 reading list filled with old books from our library, starting with an old Greg Bear science fiction book. We’re excited because we’d like to hear something other than Elle a envie de lire (She feels like reading, or something to that affect).

    1. My hubby has read a lot of Greg Bear, he is a great sci-fi writer. Speaking French is harder than learning to read it.

  7. Although I went to the library on Saturday, I didn’t read anything this weekend; just sat in front of the TV and vegged out. I will start reading, “The Cell” by Stephen King, and found out that Catherine Coultier has a new “A Brit In The FBI” book coming out soon…yay!

  8. guyz….de food servizz gurlz still on de same book her started; we swear like in 1827 ~~~~~~ 🙂 ♥♥♥

  9. Yay for treats, right Phoebe? You look very pleased! I’ve never heard of “Highly Sensitive People in an Insensitive World,” but I need to read that. Most people misunderstand and think that I hate people or I’m scared to leave my house … but it’s truly a case of just being overwhelmed and drained by social interaction.

    1. I know exactly how you feel, this book will make you feel like there is nothing wrong with that.

  10. Oh Phoebe, aren’t you da blest girly. Dat sure was nice of your mommy to buy you dat big ole thing of treats. And it was pawsum of awnty Jeanne, to dedicate her book like dat. Big hugs fur all.

    Luv ya’

    Dezi and Raena

  11. Love the treat photo. Yes can’t imagine a Bachelor/Bachelorette writer would be too much, I guess sold well because people were looking for gossip.

  12. Phoebe, you are a sweetie pie 🙂
    Glad you get spoiled.
Those books sound good…well 2 of them 😉
Mum watches a show on Netflix called “Minimalism”
It is good and seriously about decluttering things, jobs etc (not cats though) !
Mum is currently reading “The Inconvenient Indian” by Thomas King
It is a book about Native Indians in Canada and the US and how governments have treated them. It is a good book she says.
Julie dosen’t mind as she gets to sleep in mum’s lap 🙂
    Purrs Georgia,Julie and JJ

    1. Minimalism sounds like a great show, I have Netflix so I will check it out. The book sounds good too.

  13. I’ve been meaning to read Highly Sensitive People for ages. Knowing that you recommend it makes me want to read it more. 🙂 Sometimes I feel like I’m the only one who gets so exhausted by crowds and noisy places and such!

    1. I understand how you feel and I think you will find the book very helpful.
