Hi everyone! Time for the fill-ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night.
1. A sight I would like to unsee is __________________________.
2. I plan to __________________________ before the summer is over.
3. I sometimes forget that _________ isn’t considered normal by most.
4. If my life were a book, the current chapter I’m in would be titled _________.
My answers:
1. A sight I would like to unsee is my sister right before she passed away last year. She was literally skin and bones. Now when I dream of her, that is how I see her.
2. I plan to spend a lot more time with the girls before the summer is over.
3. I sometimes forget that living with 13 cats isn’t considered normal by most.
4. If my life were a book, the current chapter I’m in would be titled Autumn. I am not old enough to be winter, but definitely past spring and summer.
We are joining Feline Friday now hosted by Messymimi.
My flashback is from August 2015. The Cat Scouts had cardboard versions of themselves (Flat Scouts) so they could visit friends. My angel Sammy is visiting with my friend Pam’s Angel Sammy.

We remember Flat Scouts – they were lots of fun !
Yes, they were fun. XO
I think if I were to title my life book it would be between Summer and Fall or The Unexpected Happenings Of Life
Good titles. XO
Oh that is a cute picture! Sigh, I’d be Winter now, though in my mind I feel more like Spring, I act like spring too LOL … XO
Thank you. Glad you act more like spring. XO
So precious! 🙂 <3
Thank you. XO
I seem to be behind everyone else but I am sure enjoying being here, early or late. Love your fill in answers. I will put mine up in the Friday A.M. I especially love number 4. I am sorry you had to see your sister so terribly ill. We understand. Your love of the cats and caring for each one makes me love you more. A kind heart for fur babies who otherwise would not have a home to be loved and cared for. You are a sweet heart. Love the photos always and the stories the felines tell too.
Thank you. I look forward to your answers. XO
Oh I loved this post. I will share my answers on the fill in’s tomorrow. You share such great posts with all the felines and I think you are a special angel caring for all the fur babies. God bless your kind heart.
Thank you. I look forward to your answers. XO

You are always in spring for us. Full of sweet flowers and hope and blooming in you own Ellen way.
Awww..thank you- you are most kind. XO
Love your fill-ins. Ellen I honestly think of you as a permanently Spring girl – you are so talented, so giving, and such a good Mom to so many kitties – THAT will keep you eternally young. For our posted Fill-Ins photo we used another of the photos from our Angel Sammy’s visit to your Angel Sammy when Scouts had flat cat visiting. That was fun and we have a lot of photos of our Sam’s visit to your house…………..
Hugs and love, Pam (and Teddy)
Thank you for the compliment, you are too kind. That was fun when the Scouts visited. XO and love to you and Teddy.
What a picture of the two angels. Hope you have more fun with your granddaughters.
Thank you. Great-nieces, but I spoil them like grandkids. 🙂 XO
The most cats I have had at one time is 18, but that included 8 kittens. When my MIL died we took on her cats, but when we went to have the females spayed one was already in kitten. We found good homes for them and kept one who was Kitty YumBum. Mostly we had 8 cats for many years.
I didn’t know you had so many at once. I just knew of Eric and Flynn. XO
I remember flat cats. Flat cats traveling. I really miss the escapades of flat cats having fun. Love the two Sammy Cats visiting. I am sorry about the visions that disturb you when your sister passed away. I still can’t unsee my Mom’s last two days before she passed away and that was in 1987. But my good memories and her love for me win out. It takes time, Ellen. Take all the time you need and take care of you. I hope you get bunches of time with TGO and TM before summer is over!
My Fill-Ins~
1. A sight I would like to unsee is any hurricanes headed toward Florida.
2. I plan to cook a Southern Boil before the summer is over.
3. I sometimes forget that seeing an AllieGater parked in front of the house isn’t considered normal by most.
4. If my life were a book, the current chapter I’m in would be “Floridaing.” Read previous chapters related to Missoureeing. Haha!
Hugs to you, Ellen.
Flat Scouts was a lot of fun. I am sorry about your mom. Thank you for these great answers. I hope you don’t get any hurricanes. I would move the first time I saw an Alliegator. 🙂 XO
Oh gosh I remember those flat scouts and all the flat cats in the CB. I wanted to badly to have one of Admiral. I love seeing those whenever someone still shows us.
1. A sight I would like to un-see is any of those horrible posted pictures in FaceBook or elsewhere of cats who have been treated in a torturous way. I don’t know why people do it..or post it.
2. I plan to clean out the bathroom closet before the summer is over.
3. My ordered life all my years isn’t always considered normal by others. But it works for me who had a terrible time schedule.
4. If my life was a books the current chapter would be called “What now??”
Flat Scouts was a lot of fun. Thank you for your answers. I try to avoid FB because of those kinds of sad posts. XO
‘Normal’ is boring!
I agree. 🙂 XO
1. A sight I would like to unsee is a dog being hit on the freeway. Some dumped two dogs and it stopped the freeway traffic. Well except for that one car that hit the dog.
2. I plan to do some more cruises on our boat before the summer is over.
3. I sometimes forget that that being wacky isn’t considered normal by most. I like being wacky at times.
4. If my life were a book, the current chapter I’m in would be titled Winter.
Thank you for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-Ins. Have a fabulous day and weekend, Ellen. Scritches to the kitties, xo ♥
Thank you for your answers. That is so sad about the dog . I hope you get to do a lot more crusing. XO
You’re a good person for taking such good care of all of your kitties. I like to think of myself as Autumn, but I am Winter, however, only in chronolical years. Sigh
Thank you. XO
Most welcome, Ellen.
Having a lot of cats isn’t normal? No one told me that! 🙂
Ha ha. 🙂
Charlee: “Flat Scouts? We never met them!”
Chaplin: “I wonder if they knew Dennis’s old friend Flat Tony …”
I don’t know who FLat Tony is. 🙂
Ellen your answers to #4 are hilarious.
As for # 1 I truly understand. I was with both my parents when they passed.
Sending love Cecilia
Thank you. I was with my dad when he passed away. I wish I had been with my sister. XO
I think that’s a great title!
Thank you. 🙂
I am so sorry you had to see your sister so ill. She is certainly beautiful and well as she watches over you now. Your #3 reminded me of my parents and visiting their house. They have 12 cats, and it’s just a norm for them every day, and for me when I visit them. I think having many cats should be a more common thing, because kitties are truly the best company. Purrs and prayers!
Thank you. I am glad there are other big cat families out there and yes, I wish it was more common. XO
I’m sorry about your sister. I went through that with my father. The first close relative I lost was my father’s father in 1988. They had a “viewing” at the funeral home, but I sat outside for that. I didn’t want to remember him that way.
Thank you. I am sorry you went through that with your father.
Thank you.
Aww! what a lovely cute photo 🙂
Have a tanfasrtictastic weekend 👍
Thank you. Have a nice weekend. 🙂
I like the chapter name. 😀 But I’m so sorry about the dreams. ~hugs~ Somehow, dreaming of my mother-in-law is pleasant despite how we saw her at the end. ~shudder~ ‘Flat scouts’ cracked me up. Be well, my dear.
Thank you. XO
I’m sorry about your sister. I went through the same thing with my Mom. I like the flashback, so cute. I think your 13 cats are fortunate to have such a loving home, so I think it’s completely normal.
Thank you. Sorry you went through that with your mom. And thanks for the compliment. I hope all my cats are happy. XO
I love those flats people made of their pets! So sorry about #1, and I love your answer to #4. At least we’re in our favorite season, right?
Thank you. XO
We can understand about #1 – that must have been hard.
Thank you. XO
Those were interesting answers. I think 13 cats sounds lucky!
Thank you. I think so too. 🙂
They were 2 furry hansum Sammy’ss Aunty Ellen!
Yore Fill-Innss were xcellent!! There iss nothin wrong with havin 13 catss!
When BellaSita Mum met Aunty MaryEllen, Aunty had 4 catss inn her house an 28 inn THE Big Barn!!!
***nose kissess*** BellaDharma an (((huggiesss))) BellaSita Mum
Hugs to you,Miss Ellen, to comfort you about #1…its so hard. But I know you have so many pleasant and happy memories to treasure…one day I hope they will dominate your thoughts about her.
I admire you for all the cats you have, and the excellent care they receive from you and your hubby. It is your calling, I think.
The other day at my work, I had to squat down and reach around someones legs to help him…while an older nurse and the manager watched…because they didn’t know how to do what I was doing, LOL!! They said they both admired me for being as agile and flexible as I am…they knew how old I am…Hah, so yes, in the fall season by years, but still in early summer as far as the way I can do things. I just came inside from playing lumberjack with my pruning saw to cut down some large branches and small trees…three hours of work out there in our woods…and more to do still…on another day. LOL!
1. A sight I would like to unsee is all the peeps we care for who have Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias….
2. I plan to get my back woods area thinned out and trimmed down before the summer is over.
3. I sometimes forget that working past age 65 isn’t considered normal by most.
4. If my life were a book, the current chapter I’m in would be titled ’65 and older is the new 30′.
I remember those ‘flat pets’, we had them in Catser and Dogster, too…but I never made any of our then pets…
Thank you. Yes, my purpose here is to care for cats and yours is clearly to work with the elderly and care for pups. Thank you for your answers. You are a special person to care for people with dementia. XO
That is an excellent chapter name, and while we now only have 4 cats, we’ve had more, especially when we had fosters. It’s not always easy, but it is worth it.
I love the idea of flat copies of our cats visiting one another. What a cool photo.
Thank you for joining Feline Friday!
Thank you. It was fun having the flat cats visit each other. XO
My husband died from cancer. It’s very hard to get past those final memories. In time, they will be passed and be replaced by more pleasant ones. Best wishes
I am so sorry you lost your husband to that dreaded disease. xO
Thank you
Absolutely love the photo of your Sammy with flat Sammy K. We had basically the same fill-in for #. I am so very sorry that your memory of your sister is not from a time when she was healthy. Look at photos of her as often as possible from before she got sick and maybe you can replace the other memory. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, angel Mauricio, Misty May, angel Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer, Kizmet, Audrey & Raleigh
Thank you. That is a great idea. XO
We loved the flat ones and this picture of two sweet Angels is just amazing💗Big hug for you Ellen💗Extra Pawkisses for all of you🐾😽💞
Thank you. XO
