Friendly Fill-Ins Week 376

Hi everyone! Time for the fill-ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night.

1. Sometimes I like ____________________ and sometimes I don’t.
2. If I had a nickel for every time _____________________  ,  I would be rich.
3. _________ is already _________, but I’m not complaining
4. I haven’t yet decided _________.
My answers:
1. Sometimes I like tuna and sometimes I don’t. Tuna is the only fish I like, but it has to be solid white albacore in water and even then, I find it repulsive.
2. If I had a nickel for every time I got burned with the glue gun, I would be rich.
3. The summer is already mostly gone, but I’m not complaining. I will miss seeing the girls as often as I have been, but I won’t miss the heat and humidity.
4. I haven’t yet decided my plans for the weekend. I plan to stay home, but not sure if I am going to do some crafting, cleaning or both.
We are joining Feline Friday now hosted by Messymimi.
My flashback is from August 2021, Angel Nixon, my niece’s cat wearing a birthday hat the kids made for his 15th birthday. Sadly, he left them last fall after getting a blood clot.

  1. Angel Nixon looks so sweet.

Great fill ins. I like tuna as long as it’s mixed with mayo. I’m not a big fan of seafood. Hope you have a great weekend!

  2. Angel Nixon was showing his thoughts about that hat with a big raspberry, MOL!

I prefer he cooler/colder seasons, too.

    . Sometimes I like chili and sometimes I don’t.
    2. If I had a nickel for every time I fix toilets , I would be rich.(Imagine if I got plumbers wages for all the toilets I have fixed at work…myself and another nurse have fun comparing our totals…well, we have to have fun in our work, right??!)
    3. Summer is already half over, but I’m not complaining; I do look forward to early fall.
    4. I haven’t yet decided what to wear/take along for my niece’s wedding…we have to fly there…

    1. Thank you for these great answers. I am impressed that you can fix toilets. I changed the seat on mine and was proud of myself. 🙂 I hope you have fun at your niece’s wedding. XO

  3. Well, we adore tuna, especially in pasta sauce: olive oil, sweet onion, capers, lemon juice, tomato sauce, salt and pepper over short pasta…yummy…also tuna salad: apple, tuna, sweet onion, lemon juice, mayo, grilled almonds, all whizzed up in food processor just until mixed. Lots of pepper. Mama is drooling on her computer as she helps me write…..

  4. That is a sweet flashback of Angel Nixon. Tuna is about the only fish I don’t like, fresh or canned. I don’t know why, there is just something about it that makes me say no!

    1. Thank you. 🙂 I do better when I buy a grinder and someone else mixes the tuna. XO

  5. Angel Nixon does look like he’s not overly thrilled with is party hat. My Mom loves albacore tuna in water with mayo and a little onion and sweet pickle on a sammmmmmich and both Mom and Dad like certain kinds of other fish for dinner. I don’t like fish although I have been known to enjoy a whole shrimp or two if Mom offers them to me! Summer is almost gone but we won’t really miss it – it’s been humid and icky – Mom loves Fall best!!

    Hugs, Teddy

    1. Teddy! Sammy! That’s exactly how I do it. I will put celery seed in many times or even some minced celery!

    1. Thank you. Hope you have a good weekend too. ANd I hope you heal quickly. XO

  6. I filled in over at Teddy’s place. But I’ll say when I buy tuna, it is the solid white packed in water albacore for me too.

  7. I like tuna in a salad or a tuna fish sandwich with mayo, diced celery and onion. I am so ready for fall weather!

  8. Nixon was a handsome cat.
When I was a child my parents had a place at the beach. Daddy’s favorite thing was to walk on the fishing piers/docks when the charter boats were coming in. The smell of fresh fish is ABSOLULTELY not my favorite smell. I do like a good salmon steak. I immediately put them in a marinade of soy sauce, spices and lemon juice. So hardly no fishy smell at all
    Hugs Cecilia

    1. Thank you. He was a sweet boy. When I make salmon for my hubby, I use teriyaki sauce or soy with sugar. XO

  9. I like tuna sandwiches, but mostly don’t like other fish. Occasionally a fried fillet. Your comment was funny though – you like it but it’s still repulsive! And yes, glue guns are hot, and it does burn. 🙂

  10. I relate to your answers so much this week. I am not a fan of seafood whatsoever. If I do eat it, it’s almost certainly in the form of tuna in water. And I’m with you on being excited for the end of summer. The heat and humidity is far from fun, so let’s bring on autumn. Thank you so much for sharing this memory of Angel Nixon! What a handsome mancat he is and always will be. Purrs!

  11. Your #1… TUNA! I hear you. I love tuna but lately I just want to gag when I open it. We only eat solid white albacore (Starkist Selects) but there has been blood and crud in the cans for months now and it stinks. I made tuna salad last night for dinner and I threw the whole thing away. I think I am over tuna. I should have just made egg salad.
    My Fill-Ins-
