Friendly Fill-Ins Week 363

Hi everyone!  Time for the fill-ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night.

1. I’ve got a yen for __________________________.
2. I would gladly trade ________________ for _____________________.
3. It seems like only yesterday that _________.
4. If you offered me _________, I would _________.
My answers:

1. I’ve got a yen for Chinese food even though I just had some.

2. I would gladly trade my BA in Elementary Education for a BA in Writing.

3. It seems like only yesterday that The Great One was born and now she is 7 and a half.

4. If you offered me a million dollars for one of my cats, I would refuse. Once I adopt a cat, it is forever.
We are joining Feline Friday now hosted by Messymimi.
My flashback is from May 2021, Angel Emmy with her toy collection. I miss my little hoarder.

    1. Thank you for these That popcorn sounds great. Kids grow up so fast. And I sure hope someone offers you a cat or kitten. 😉 XO

  2. Oh, dear, Angel Emmy must have been one of my family. What a darling little tuxie and I know we would have been friends. Mama has a yen for Chinese food, too, but where she is there is not much choice. Japanese, yes, but no Chinese. I think she’s going to make peanut sauce noodles to pacify her craving….they are easy. Will send recipe….

  3. I always enjoy the fill-ins and I wasn’t surprised by anything you wrote. Especially number 4.

  4. Chinese food is addictive sometimes! Love it. And you are so right, not one of us
cat lovers would give up our pet for all the tea in China.

  5. Same here with cats. I had one that had some behavioral issues. That dang cat lived to be 18! Sometimes I had to separate her from the pack but she had a great life.

  6. 1. I’ve got a yen for a Nations Burger and fries.
    2. I would gladly trade all this construction noise for some quiet. Our home remodel is almost done.
    3. It seems like only yesterday that I was working full time. It was twenty years ago that I retired.
    4. If you offered me ice cream, or Cheetos, I would eat every bite. My weakness are those two things.

Thank you for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-Ins.

  8. Charlee: “Emmy had a truly epic toy collection. I think she collected even more toys than Dennis.”

  11. Those are great fill ins. I love Chinese food, but I have to cook it myself. We used to get it from the local Chinese in the village, then one day I could taste bleach on the prawns and that put me off them. We spoke to a friend who used to deliver to Chinese shops throughout Devon and Cornwall and they would fight over out of date stock at giveaway prices then wash it in bleach! I have never bought takeaway Chinese since then.

  12. Mom says you have made her hungry for chinese now too. Maybe tomorrow for dinner as she just learned of a new place not too far from home. And if we are lucky, we might get a tidbit from her chicken lettuce wraps:)

Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
