Friendly Fill-Ins Week 326

Hi everyone. Thank you all for the purrs and prayers for Drake and Emmy. Emmy’s heart is enlarged so she is on some new meds. And Drake does seem more relaxed on the pain meds and he also is getting more thyroid meds. Some good news- both had kidney values that remained the same since last time they had blood work.

Time for the fill-ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night.

  1. That is a sweet picture of Rosie and Sammy.

    1. I collect drummers, all military. Most of the larger ones are nutcrackers, and some of the smaller ones are authentic representations of a particular military costume. I have over 300…
    2. I recently treated myself to some new clothes.
    3. I used to take violin lessons back when was single and working.
    4. Though I have never seen all the bird species in my area, I have a desire to see lots of birds in other regions, that are not in my region. Very slowly my ‘life list’ grows!

    1. Thank you for these great answers. I am glad you treated yourself to some new clothes. That is quite a collection of drummers. Hope you get to see every bird you want to see. XO

  2. Glad to hear that Drake and Emmy are both “stable” with their health conditions! Never had Cherry Garcia but love cherries to I’ll add it to my “MUST TRY” list. Thanks for co-hosting “Fill-Ins” – it’s so much fun.

    Hugs, Pam and Teddy

  3. Oh, I have to ask what meds for pain you have found. And good news for the kidneys, so important, but so sorry for the sweeties with health problems. We understand so well.

    1. Drake is on Gabapentin and I only use half of the low dose he was prescribed so far and it seems to help. XO

  4. So good to hear that Emmy and Drake have meds that can help them and that the kidneys are doing well 🙂
Mum collects books! MOL! Good thing a lot are for her e-reader.
Mum has travelled to Europe and around parts of Canada but never to the US.
    Purrs, Julie

  5. I gave away all my cat stuff (but kept the cats!). Just heard that our besties, who are vacationing in Alaska, came down with covid and have to quarantine in a hotel. They missed their cruise. Nope, no interested in traveling at this point. Actually I did a lot when I was young and other than some beach time (it’s a 3 hour drive) I’ve no interest in it at all. Different stages of life.

    1. Glad you kept the real cats. That is one of my fears of vacations, but mainly I don’t like to leave my cats. XO

  6. Awww on the Angels. So precious.

Love your fill-ins. I used to love to travel, but not anymore. The farthest we want to go is the boat and back.

Thank you for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-ins. Always fun to do.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend, Ellen. Scritches to the kitties. ♥

  7. awww love your Angels! Great fill-ins- here are mine:
    1. I collect shells and rocks when traveling- I have done this since I was a child!
    2. I recently treated myself to bakery croissants! Yummy breakfast!
    3. I used to travel a lot back when things cost less money and there weren’t all the covid rules etc.
    4. Though I have never parachuted out of plane, I have watched my sweetie sky dive – too scary for me!

    1. Thank you for these great answers. That sounds like a fun collection. Your sweetie is brave. I would have forbid my hubby to do that. XO

  8. We are sending so many purrs and prayers to Emmy, Drake, and all of you! I’m glad both of their kidney values stayed steady, and I hope they remain that way for a very long time.

Your fill-ins are fantastic, as always! I like how you included Halloween decorations in your #1. I wish I had thought of that, as I collect a lot of Halloween decor, and a lot of it stays out year round. And I relate to your #4 so much. I have never had an interest in traveling. Home is always where I prefer to be. Purrs and prayers!

    1. Sorry your mum had a bad week. Yes. she does get a lot of those, but the important thing is they help. xO

  10. It is some very good news that Emmy’s and Drake’s kidney values remained stable… one less thing to worry about. More good news for Drake that the pain meds are helping improve the quality of his life. Hoping the medication will help with Emmy’s enlarged heart.
I haven’t had Ben and Jerry’s in so long. I don’t like to travel anymore, it’s too much work!
    My Fill-Ins…
    1. I collect shark teeth. There are a couple of beaches here that have shark teeth wash up on the beach after storms.
    2. I recently treated myself to Chicken Scallopini at our favorite restaurant.
    3. I used to be a bit of a hippy back when I was in college.
    4. Though I have never been a fan of stormy weather, I have learned to tolerate all the lightning and thunder in Florida… to an extent.

    1. Thank you. I just bought my B&J at the grocery store on sale for $2.99 a pint. Thank you for these great answers. That sounds like fun to collect and doesn’t take up much space. We had a storm today- I will never learn to tolerate them. XO

  11. Those were good fill-in answers. I’m sorry about your sweeties, I know how stressful and worrisome it is. Hugs from us.

  12. Sweet photo. There’s nothing better than an ice cream treat. I liked to travel but that was before cats:) So glad you had good news with the kidney tests.

    1. Thank you. The longest I ever traveled was our honeymoon cruise for 10 days. Other than that, we just did overnights.

  13. Sweet photo of your angels. We hope the meds help and we’re glad that the kidney values were good for both. Mom has no interest in traveling anymore it just sounds like too much work.

    1. Yes, it is. One of my favorites too , that and orange pineapple which is hard to find. XO

  14. I wish you and your sweet kitties the best. ~hugs~ And on a side note, I would adore seeing footage of Joanie playing dress-up with The Great One. I appreciate the fact this precious human child remains off camera and would expect the same with footage, of course. Thanks for being wise. Take care!

  15. Aww, Angel Lucy and Angel Sammy…such darlings! Ice cream is always a wonderful treat. We visited some friends on Saturday and they sent us home with some cheesecake! xo
