Friendly Fill-Ins Week 303

Hi everyone! Time for the fill-ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night.

1. I rarely _________________, I _________________ instead.

2. My spring to do list includes ______________and ________________.
3. If I were invisible for a day, I would _________.
4. When I was young, I _________ because ________.
My answers:
1. I rarely purchase books; I use the library instead.
2. My spring to do list includes cleaning and more cleaning.
3. If I were invisible for a day, I would find a way to rescue The Ukraine.
4. When I was young, I was deprived because I did not have a cat. I can’t believe I didn’t have a cat until I was married- I have caught up for lost time though.
We are also joining Create With Joy’s Friendship Friday and Feline Friday currently hosted by Comedy Plus.

And our flashback is from March 2017, Angel Prancie dressed for St. Patrick’s Day.

  1. I often get audio books on the library website. I didn’t have a cat until I married my second wife at 36. I didn’t know what I was missing.

  2. Adorable pic of Angel Prancie.

I didn’t have cats when I was growing up either. We had dogs. It wasn’t until I met my husband that I had cats.

    Have a great weekend!

  3. Aww, Prancie looks so sweet in that hat!
Yesterday at work, I work a green St Paddy’s Day shirt…it had a kitty with shamrocks on it! Of course when I saw it at the store I had to splurge on it…$6, seemed like a decent deal.

    1. I rarely eat meals at my work, I bring my own with me, instead.

    2. My spring to do list includes getting our new shed built, and the old one cleaned out. (Squirrels decided it was a great place to store their walnuts…UGH!).
    3. If I were invisible for a day, I would sneak across the border and avoid all the border peeps who want to see the latest PCR covid test and other junk…I want to see my sister and cousins.
    4. When I was young, I often wore the same dress as my sister because my mother sewed them for us…though soon enough my sister grumbled about me, her little sister wearing the same thing…so my mother would then make the same dresses in different colors…at least the third kid in the family was a boy, so he got no girly hand-me-downs! LOL!

    1. That is a good deal. Thank you for these great answers. I am sorry you haven’t been able to see your sister and cousins. Sounds like you have a lot planned for spring. That is a cute dress story. XO

  4. That is a sweet photo of Angel Prancie.
We both had cats and dogs growing up, and as soon as we got married we got a cat of our own.

  5. Great fill-ins. I think we ALL wish we could help save Ukraine….invisible or not. I do think you have made up for not having a cat when you were younger – I feel like that too. My Dad didn’t like cats so we always had dogs (which I also loved) – but when I got my first apartment I got my first cat and it’s been LOVE since!

    Hugs, Pam

  6. Meowser Ms. Ellen, good answers, but Mr. Putin is already fulfilling your #3 … don’t you realize that ‘the news’ is telling you ‘a story’, not the truth? Ukraine has been a deep state hub for human trafficking and bio-weapons for decades… those are the purrcise things Putin is targeting … evidence, which will confirm this should come out soon. Obama was part of deep state and set up many bio-labs in there, he also snoopervised the lad in Wuhan, which was the lab coron ‘leaked’ from…. I don’t think that was an accident.
I do think that the truth is far, far different from what you were taught, so hope you have time to do your own research.

    1. I can’t confirm anything, of course, but we have heard much of what Foguth reports. Nothing makes this war any less horrific, though, and I can’t imagine *anyone* involved wants this. It’s a shame humans aren’t past this terrible, nonsensical type of solution. ~hugs~ God bless.

    2. I am against human trafficking and bio-weapons, but I am also against killing innocent people. XO

  7. Awww on Angel Prancie.

I love all your fill-ins and especially #4. You have made up for it indeed.

Thank you for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-ins.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend, Ellen. Scritches to all the kitties. ♥

  8. Except when I was really, really young, we always had dogs. If we had the opportunity, I think just about everyone in the US would jump in to help save Ukraine. Prancie was super cute. All the kitties Pilch seem to have been and are good about the dressing up thing, unlike Kitties Blue! XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, angel Mauricio, Misty May, angel Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer & Kizmet

    1. I have been lucky with kitties being willing to dress up, but my newer ones are not- I can’t even touch the 3 ferals yet. XO

  9. Yes! to your #3 Ellen! Angel Prancie looks very good in St. Pat’s Day Green! My Fill-Ins…
    1. I rarely drive anymore, I let SSNS handle the driving instead.
    2. My spring to do list includes walks at the beach and hot dogs at the South jetty.
    3. If I were invisible for a day, I would go to Epcot Center and ditch the crowd.
    4. When I was young I ate a ton of Big Macs because I was stupid then. But, I still love them… they just don’t taste as good.

    1. Thank you for your great answers. I rarely drive either- my mom and hubby are my chauffeurs. Epcott would be nice if one was invisible. My niece and her family just got back from there and it was very crowded.
      Have a nice weekend. XO

  10. Stopping by to say that I miss everyone and if I could be invisible for one day I would probably help a homeless person or stray animal <3

  11. Angel Prancie looks sweet in that photo. Aw……. I love all your fur babies. You have great answers too for the fill in’s. I sure enjoy doing them. THANK YOU ! HAPPY WEEKEND!

  12. Hi there Ellen! In our case, we have to change our first Friendly Fill-in around completely. I rarely go to the library, I mostly just buy books. Or rely on Book Club. We don’t have a proper or working library here in our little town. I am busy trying to make plans to start a book exchange, let’s see how far I get with that!

I actually had a whole Friday post planned and about 70% drafted, but never got to finish it. I am going to try my best to have it published WITH a Friendly Fill-ins again next Friday.

I hope you and all the fur love are doing well and enjoying a good weekend!
