Friendly Fill-Ins Week 258

Hi everyone! Time for the fill-ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night.

1. My day is not complete until I ___________________.
2. It is time to ___________________.
3. _________ made me change my mind about _________.
4. I simply refuse to _________.
My answers:
1. My day is not complete until I watch a little Sheldon. I have seen all the episodes of The Big Bang Theory , but I like to see an episode daily.
2. It is time to  let pet parents back into the vet clinic. So many restrictions have been lifted in restaurants that I don’t know why this is still in place.
3. Seeing an episode of the 3rd season made me change my mind about The Big Bang Theory. I thought it looks stupid and one day I caught an episode about Sheldon freaking out over a bird in the apartment and I was sold- because I would be freaking out too.
4. I simply refuse to look away from a cat in need.
We are also joining Create With Joy’s Friendship Friday and Feline Friday currently hosted by Comedy Plus.

I forgot Star Wars Day on the 4th so here is a flashback of Angel Lucy as Princess Leia. I put cookies on her head- and yes, I ate them after the photo.

  1. Great fill ins! I love The Big Bang Theory. I wish they didn’t end it but I’m enjoying Young Sheldon. I agree with #4. Hope you have a great weekend!

    1. I wish they would make a new show with Amy and Sheldon with kids that are average- that would drive Sheldon crazy. 🙂 Have a nice weekend. XO

  2. Great fill ins. I agree about vet visits. As long as masks are worn and hand washing/sanitising are observed I can see absolutely no reason to still make pet parents stay outside.

    1. Thank you. 🙂 Yes, as long as we have masks we should get to go in plus I am vaccinated. XO

  3. Bless your heart for your #4 answer. If only there were more people like you in the world. Have a wonderful weekend, Ellen.

  4. I SOOOOO agree about vet offices…..driving up and calling to say “we’re here” then waiting for someone to come out and take your pet without being able to go inside and talk to the doctor is NOT GOOD. Hopefully that will change soon. You are amazing when it comes to helping kitties in need – bless you for that my friend!

    Hugs, Pam

    1. Thank you. 🙂 I hope it changes soon. I am sure our kitties are stressed without us. XO

  5. You are right about the vet clinic, i would think as long as i wear a mask to keep my germs to myself, it should be okay to go in.

You are a serious cookie lover (i don’t blame you a bit!).

  6. Cracking me up you ate the cookies! I would have eaten them too! A huge thank you for your #4! My Fill-Ins…
    1. My day is not complete until I check all the doors and turn down the AC.
    2. It is time to be in our rainy season. We need the rain.
    3. SSNS made me change my mind about fried morels 47 years ago.
    4. I simply refuse to shop at Walmart anymore. I will stick to Publix and Target.

    1. Glad you would have eaten them too. 🙂 Thank you for your answers, I enjoyed them. We have had too much rain here. How funny you mentioned morels, I found some in our yard this time last year, but so far, no luck. I am stuck with Walmart as it is a mile and a half away. Target is 25 minutes and we have no Publix. XO

  7. We totally agree with you about being in the VET’s office. So many things are changed now but that one still hangs on. We love Angel Lucy as (cookie) Princess Leia

    The Florida Furkids

  8. Adorable photo! Great answers too. Our vet offices are back to waiting outdoors while our pets see the doctor. I got Teddy in just in time and was able to go inside with him before they changed the rules again.

  9. We were fans of Big Bang Theory too.
The writers that show had to have a consultant who was a Physicist. It was 100% correct. I worked with Physicist for 25 years. 3 of my co workers were exactly like Sheldon, Raj and Leonard. And they always gave any engineers a hard time…just like they did Howard on BBT. Always picking on them. Such fond memories of my career.
    Hugs Cecilia

    1. My hubby’s sister is around your age, she worked at MIT and said the same about them. 🙂 XO

  10. I love your fill-ins and haven’t watched that show. I laughed about the cookies you ate after the photo shoot. That’s so you.

Thank you for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-ins.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend, Ellen. Scritches to all the kitties. ♥

    1. Thank you. 🙂 You have a great sense of humor, I am sure you would like the show. XO

  11. My peeps would have eaten the cookies too. Your #4 answer was the best. Yes, it’s time to let humans into the vet again. Even MSK has started letting guests into the infusion rooms again. TW doesn’t want me to be alone and scared at the vet like she has been alone in the infusion room. Thanks for hosting.

    1. Thank you. I hope by the time your appointment comes around that your folks can go in with you. XO

  12. I’m rather glad to wait in the car because being inside triggers my allergies. ~nods~ But one time they didn’t get my notification and only came out after calling my husband about a missed appointment. What happened to my text message is a mystery. Only me… LOL Be well!

    1. I don’t text so I call then they call me back when ready to come out- it is such a pain. XO

  13. Grate foto of ‘angel’ Lucy as Purrincess Leia…..LadyMew giggelled that you ate THE cookiess…shee wuud have dun THE same 😉
Grate answerss to yore fill-inns Miss Ellen….
Wee are still so far inn lockdown wee feel wee may nevurr get out of it 🙁
    ***purrss*** BellaDharma an {{huggiess}} LadyMew

    1. Thank you. 🙂 You should put your fill-in answers here. 🙂 It seems like it will never end. XO

  14. Great fill ins. I am now watching Auto shows on TV. They build so many nice cars since I used to do that kind of thing I know what they are talking about. Great fill ins and maybe we will give that show a go when we are feeling in the mood for some laughs. Love the flashback and I would have chowed those cookies too

    1. Thank you. I bet you would like my hubby’s 69 Mustang. 🙂 XO

  15. We SO agree with #2. We want TBT in there with us. He has had HIS shots, so it should be OK for him ta be with us when WE get OURS!

  16. 1.My day is not complete until I sit down and check some of the many blogs….its hard to keep up with all of them! .
    2. It is time to get the plumber in here to fix some issues….
    3. Being sick so many years ago made me change my mind about what it *really* means to have cancer.
    4. I simply refuse to stop using my hands to type here, and to make pictures for peeps, even though I know it aggravates my arthritis in my wrist and fingers…and even my neck. I refuse to stop my work at the nursing home, at least not while I can still function..

    1. Thank you for these great answers. I am sory you are in pain, but glad you keep moving. I can barely keep up with blogs and I don’t work so I don’t know how you do it. XO

  17. Charlee: “We can totally relate to Sheldon freaking out over a bird in the apartment.”
Chaplin: “Yes, Dennis always used to tell us about the parakeet who lived here briefly, and how its happy singing and chirping totally freaked him out so much that he tried to escape from the yard by digging under the fence.”
Charlee: “And so we have made it our mission to stare at all the birds we see, to keep them from trying any funny business.”
Lulu: “Why do I not believe Dennis is the reason you two stare at birds all the time … ?”
Charlee: “Must be because you’re such a cynic.”

  18. I was never interested in Big Bang Theory at first either. I didn’t understand what all the hoopla was. I don’t even remember now which episode got me hooked but now I think we’ve seen them all, many more than once!

  19. Cookies! What delicious brides! I smiled big that you ate them after the photo Mom would have too.

  20. You are so right with #2! My clinic just finally started opening to owners again. That only counts for actual appointments with the veterinarian, though. My boy Evan goes in every 6 weeks or so for a sanitary shave, which is just a vet tech appointment, and so I still can’t go in for those visits. At least we’re slowly going in the right direction. I hope your clinic allows you to go inside with your kitties!
