Friendly Fill-Ins Week 242

Time for the Friendly Fill-Ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you. The link is open until Wednesday night.

I am sure most of you know, but in case you didn’t, Lorianne lost her grandmother last weekend. My thoughts and prayers are with Lorianne and her family.

1. I learned _________________the hard way.
2. Everyone should ___________________ at least once in their lives.
3. Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about _________.
4. I’ll never be too old to _________.
My answers:
1 I learned not to leave my slippers on the floor at night the hard way. More than once they have been yacked in so now I keep them on the bureau where they are not 100% safe, but safer.
2. Everyone should adopt a pet at least once in their lives.
3. Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about the future. We really need a will.
4. I’ll never be too old to play. I love playing with my great nieces.
We are also joining Create With Joy’s Friendship Friday and Feline Friday currently hosted by Comedy Plus.

And my flashback is Angel Phoebe in her Fortune Teller costume, October 2015.

  1. 1. I learned that step ladders are better than chairs the hard way.(Or better stated, the ouch way…)
    2. Everyone should travel to another country at least once in their lives. I think it makes one more able to be empathetic about other cultures and things that make us different, while still so similar.
    3. Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about the things I would love to do once again when and this pandemic ends.
    4. I’ll never be too old to be silly and have fun like any 20 year old…or even younger. Maybe that’s why no one believes me when they find out how old I really am. LOL!

    1. Thank you for these great answers, but I am sorry you fell off a chair. I doubt I will ever leave the country at this point in my life, but I see your point. And I am glad you are young at heart. XO

  2. Those are nice fill in answers. We still haven’t made wills and know we should. It just feels like tempting fate which I know is silly.
That is a sweet picture of Angel Phoebe.

    1. Thank you. 🙂 I think that is why my hubby is afraid of making a will, but we have had a gravestone with our names for almost 20 years so might as well write that will. XO

  3. Happy Friday. Good job on filling in….I’ve never had my slippers yacked in but I do believe that would upset me to make that discovery when getting out of bed! We’ve had a will for several years but both of us need to update them.

    Hugs, Pam

  4. I love seeing Angel Phoebe in her fortune telling costume! I wish I had remembered to try to find a deck of cards yesterday so I could have my Katie fortune told. Mom just cut a huge bunch out of the reply here and will mail it to you. XX

  5. I didn’t know Lorianne lost her grandmother. So sad. Prayers for her and her family.

Aw on Angel Phoebe. What an adorable shot.

Love your fill-in s and had to laugh about the slippers. I remember those accidents.

Thank you for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-ins.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend, Ellen. Hug to you and scritches to all the kitties. ♥

  6. Great fill ins. We had similar answers to #1. We really need to think about the future and a will, too. Mostly we need guardians for the furbabies. Hope you have a great weekend!

  7. Our sympathies to Lorianne and her family. Love your photo of Angel Phoebe! Great fill-ins- especially #2!
    Have a wonderful weekend!

  8. Angel Phoebe sure looks terrific in the turban (but Penny looked great on Tuesday in it too)! We love your fill-ins! Yesterday was crazy busy around here so we did not get a chance to do the fill-ins this week! So we are answering them here.

    1. I learned cat bites are dangerous the hard way. I’ve had 2 bone infections from Marv’s bites!
    2. Everyone should helps someone who needs it at least once in their lives.
    3. Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about travelling, perhaps because I can’t because of Covid.
    4. I’ll never be too old to live the life I want to live.

Thanks for stopping by and seeing Marv’s Opine (At Feline Opines) Have a marvellously Happy Day!

    1. Thank you for these great answers except I am sorry Marv has caused bone infections. My Polar Bear got me last year not long before he passed away and I had to get antibiotics. I agree with #2 and yes, I hope you can always live the way you want to live. XO

  9. The part about the slippers made me giggle and I keep saying we need a will or something, too! I keep putting it off. Ai Carumba, so much to do and so little time!

    Candice~Marie

  10. “Not 100% safe, but safer” made me laugh so hard. And yes, everybody should adopt a pet, it would make this world a better place if more people did it!

    Have a wonderful weekend!

  11. I’ve learned so many things the hard way, I’ve lost count.
Everyone should see the Grand Canyon at least once.
Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about our country’s future.
I’ll never be too old for Disney movies!
    xoxoxo

    1. Thank you for these great answers. I am with you on all of these, but I doubt I will ever se The Grand Canyon. I don’t like to travel, even before COVID> XO

  12. Lovely Phoebe pic!

Sorry we didn’t do Friendly Fill-Ins this week. We were finding it hard to think of some answers but we definitely agree with you on 2 and 3.

  13. I didn’t know about Lorianne’s gramma and send her comforting purrz. Everyone should adopt a biting cat. The peeps are making their wills now. They can’t believe they waited so long. Thanks for hosting.

    1. Thank you, I am sure she will appreciate your condolences. A biting cat would not deter me from adopting. XO

  14. I am with you on #4. Phoebe looks beautiful in her purple fortune teller’s hat. My Fill-Ins…
    1. I learned patience the hard way.
    2. Everyone should eat creamed herring at least once in their lives. Ha… not!
    3. Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about our Z Cat.
    4. I’ll never be too old to lose my mischievous self.
    Thank you, enjoy your weekend!

    1. Thank you for these great answers. We never forgot the kitties we love that have left us. I am still learning patience and will pass on the herring. 🙂 XO

  15. Once in a while, if I’m sitting on the couch watching TV in the evening, with my slippers on the floor beside me, Luke will just suddenly decide to grab one and romp around with it! That’s still better than getting yakked in although he does leave it kind of slimy sometimes! LOL. He’s serious about his sleep at night though, so I can leave them next to the bed with no worries.

  16. Fantastic fill-ins, as always! I relate so much to your #1. My feet always seem to find cat vomit before my eyes do. And we had the same answer for #3. I wish the future wasn’t so uncertain. Angel Phoeobe is always gorgeous. Purrs!
