Friendly Fill-Ins Week 237

Time for the Friendly Fill-Ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you.

1. My favorite Christmas (  or Hanukkah) ______________ is _________________.
2. This holiday season I will miss __________________.
3. I would like Santa to bring _________.
4. You might find _________ under my Christmas tree this year.
My answers:
1. My favorite Christmas movie is The Family Man. I usually watch it a few times during the holiday season. It is also one of my favorite Nic Cage films.
2. This holiday season I will miss hosting our annual Christmas Eve party and getting a photo of my niece and her hubby by the Christmas tree. I have gotten a photo of them every year since they were dating ( she was 15, he was 16).
3. I would like Santa to bring everyone what they want this Christmas.
4. You might find a cat under my Christmas tree this year. They like to snooze under there, but last year someone peed so now I am afraid to put the tree skirt under the tree. Actually, we haven’t put the tree up yet, after losing Jinx it is hard to motivate.
We are also joining Create With Joy’s Friendship Friday and Feline Friday currently hosted by Comedy Plus.

For my flashback, I have Angel Jinx with his letter to Santa last year. He wanted a Coke for me because I always told him, ” Jinx, you owe me a Coke.”

  1. Jinx was a cuddly and very special dude!! He knew what to ask for to please others!

    1. My favorite Christmas ( or Hanukkah) music is the
pastoral concerti grossi by the (mostly) Italian, and German and also others form the baroque era. They are so pleasant to listen to and they help me feel festive, maybe even more than carols. I love the J.S. Bach and Handel (as well as others) from that era who composed Christmas oratorios and cantatas. Yes, I am kind of odd…MOL!
    2. This holiday season I will miss all the fun things the residents would be doing in a ‘normal’ year at this time of the year… so many of them are very ill, in the hospital and we have lost far too many of them too….sigh…
    3. I would like Santa to bring peace and happiness to the world and an end to this horrible plague called Covid..
    4. You might find stuffed animals under my Christmas tree this year. I have a lot that are just for Christmas and I make a tree that is just for them, I still am veery child-like and silly…MOL!

    1. Thank you for your answrs. I am sorry so many you work with are so sick. You are not odd, you have class.
I hope Santa grants your wishes. I hope Dalton and Benji don’t hurt the stuffed animals. I have many too. 🙂 XO

  2. Meowser Ms. Ellen you had great answers, but no tree?!? Ours has been up for 2 weeks and we’re loving it.
Thank you for the card and great gifts…. and hosting this blog hop, too.

  3. That is a sweet picture of Angel Jinx.
I have been able to see comments again for the last 3 days, but today unless I am first, they have disappeared again.

  4. I know this year will be extra hard for many families – but the promise of NEXT Christmas is out there and we must focus for now on staying safe. Kitties know how to be safe – they sleep the day away……Love the photo of Jinx from last year with his Dad. Great filling in and thanks for being one of the two hosts for the Hop!

    Love, Pam (and Teddy)

  5. Awww, sweet Jinx, i know he is missed.

How i hate when things get totally cancelled. Some things have to be modified, of course, but modifying things seems to me like concentrating on what we can do instead of what we can’t.

  6. Sweet photo of Jinx with his letter to Santa last year♥
I am sure there is a kitty under your tree most of the time. It is hard for kitties to resist curling up under a Christmas tree.
    My Fill-Ins…
    1. My favorite Christmas (  or Hanukkah) album is Send Me Some Snow by Chris Standring and Kathrin Shorr.
    2. This holiday season I will miss being with family.
    3. I would like Santa to bring a sense of peace and comfort to all of us.
    4. You might find mulch under my Christmas tree this year because we decorated the little palm outside our front door.
    Hugs!

    1. Thank you for these great answers. I hope your wish to Santa comes true. I saw the decorated palm on Cecilia’s blog- beautiful. XO

  7. It is a heartbreaking always-with-you pain when one of the babies goes to the Bridge. They are as much a member of the family as any other member and they leave a precious hole in the fabric of one’s lives when they leave us.

  8. 1. My favorite Christmas ( or Hanukkah) movie is Bad Santa!.
    2. This holiday season I will miss having our children with us.
    3. I would like Santa to bring not only Peace to the world but also Honesty to all Politicians if that is possible.
    4. You might find lots of homemade goodie for our wonderful nieghbors under my Christmas tree this year.

    1. Thank you for these great answers. I used to watch that movie every year it cracks me up when he eats all the candy in the kid’s advent calendar and refills it with aspirin. 🙂

  9. I liked your replies my fave Christmas film is The Christmas Card well it’s one of my favourites 🙂

    Aww! bless Jinx 🙂

Have a cutetastic safe weekend 😷😷😷

  10. What great answers. you’re so sweet about wanting everyone to get what they want this year.
Even if it’s a small tree maybe you can.
    We will miss Jinx.

  11. Love your fill-ins and I’m just not motivated by anything Christmas this year. It’s sad, but it is what it is.

Love your fill-ins and I’m so sorry about Angel Jinx. Big healing hugs.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. Scritches to all the kitties. ♥

  12. Love your answers! We had a “squirter” last year but feel confident in putting out our Christmas mat as a Floofy someone is on meds and is so much better. We send our deepest sympathy about Jinx. It is so hard this time of year. Purrs from us all

  13. Christmas is a tough time, especially when you have lost a special someone. We send you love and cheer and strength. We loved your fill-in answers too. Ours were not as interesting.

  14. Wonderful answers! I’m going to miss hosting Christmas this year. We’ve decided to just have a quiet one with all that’s going on. Hopefully next year will be much better! xo

  15. Such fantastic and festive fill-ins! I can’t believe I haven’t watched The Family Man in years. I need to watch it this year. I’m like you and watch my favorite holiday movies multiple times during the festive season. I’m so sorry you won’t be able to have your usual Christmas Eve gathering this year. Santa needs to bring an end to this pandemic so that the world can return back to normal. Purrs!

  16. Great answers! Jinx was sure a sweetheart. I get sad missing fur babies. It is so hard. HUGS across the miles to you and thank you always for sharing your photos here too.

  17. My favorite Christmas gift was a Lionel Electric train set I received Christmas 1953. (I still have it all and it still works!) I will miss all the loved ones human and animals that have passed away over my lifetime. Wish Santa only brings health and happiness to my pets all year. Probably find a cat sleeping under the Christmas tree.

    1. That is cool that it still works. This time of year is always hard, remembering all those we lost over the years. XO
