Friendly Fill-Ins Week 234

Time for the Friendly Fill-Ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you.

1. ___________________ is funny.
2. I’ve written a fan letter to _________________.
3. _________ is easier than it looks.
4. _________ is harder than it looks.
My answers:
1. Our Rosie is funny. She keeps us laughing with her antics.
2. I’ve written a fan letter to Ricky Schroder, Michael J Fox and many other tv stars in the mid-1980’s. I bet you are stunned that I never wrote to Nic Cage. By the time I started liking him, I had outgrown writing fan letters. I used to love getting the mail and finding autographed photos.
3. Administering sub Q fluids to a cat is easier than it looks. We have been giving Jinx fluids for months and before that we gave them to Prancie , Millie, Spooky and Phoebe.
4. Blogging is harder than it looks. Not actually hard, but time consuming. Only those of us that blog realize how much is involved. I love it though.
We are also joining Create With Joy’s Friendship Friday and Feline Friday currently hosted by Comedy Plus.

  1. I thought of you last weekend when we watched Firebirds! Blogging is hard for me – especially the technical aspect. Tonight, I spent over an hour just trying to put our post on social media. And my blog template is acting up. I was near tears with what seemed like everything going wrong at the same time. There’s got to be an easier way!

  2. Blogging does take a lot of time. When the boys were here I would get photos most days then use them for daily posting. After Flynn passed and I started only posting once a week I intended to only comment on that day, but I still find myself commenting every day and that does take a lot of time.

  3. Aw on your angels. So precious.

Love your fill-ins. Yes blogging can be a challenge at times.

Thank you for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-Ins.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend, Ellen. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to the kitties. ♥

  4. I agree with your numbers 3 and 4. Especially 4. Blogging finally wore me out. I started blogging in 2002 on a pet forum called Good Paws, hosted by Sarah Wilson. My Fill-Ins~
    1. Looking at the old pictures my best gal pal sends to me when we were in third grade and on through college is funny.
    2. I’ve written a fan letter to Leonard Nimoy back in the early Star Trek years.
    3. Hardly anything is easier than it looks. I have a way of making things more difficult than they are.
    4. Making really delicious scrambled eggs is harder than it looks.
    Thanks Ellen!

    1. I wish you still blogged. You started really early in the blogging world, I wish I had gotten into it longer ago.
Thank you for these great answers. My hubby and I met Nimoy in Boston when he was promoting a book. I got a photo of my hubby with him. We also met Scotty. 🙂 Have a nice weekend. XO

  5. Adorable photos:) I wrote a few fan letters to soap stars when I was younger and like you I loved the autographed photos in the mail. I agree with your answer about blogging. It is time consuming, but I love it.

  6. We’ve been giving subq fluids to Harley for a little over a year now. I agree, easier than it looks! At least with Harley. I know I wouldn’t be able to with some of our cats.

  7. Yep I agree with #3…when our vet showed us how to administer SubQs to Madi I just knew it was going to be hard but I truly believe she knew we were helping her. I have not written a fan letter but I have gotten
an in person autograph from Englebert Humpledink in 1968 when I saw him perform in London.
    Hugs Cecilia

  8. We thought about using blogging as being hard. The technical side certainly is. TW can’t imagine giving me subq fluids. She doesn’t think it will be easy. Thx for hosting.

  9. Those are great answers and I agree except I had trouble with fluids. I think living alone and having a bum arm kind of impacts that. Oooo Turkey Leg! What a lucky winner!

  10. Hey, never too late to send that note off to Mr. Cage:) We bet he would love it.

Mom likes to blog too, but she says it is hard to come up with new ideas all the time. She says we need to give her more to work with:)

  11. Yup, I’ve done the sub-q think(most recently with Georgia)
Blogging takes time mostly because it’s hard to come up with fresh ideas
I mostly blog 2 days now(that may or may not change)
    Always enjoy the fill-ins 🙂

  12. I think blogging is hard too! I really like to take time putting a post together so I am often very late. But I love sharing my thoughts and enjoy reading everyone else’s too. I could never get Mister Kitty or Daphne to pose so sweetly for photos. My Boots did, he loved letting our girls dress him up when he was a youngster. I miss him so very much. This ornery one is so naughty and full of tricks. I have to watch him constantly. But I still love the little bugger even though he has a different personality. Thanks for sharing.Have a terrific weekend. HUGS across the miles XO XO XO XO

    1. SOunds like Boots was a sweetie. My Joanie loves it when my great niece dresses her, but she hasn’t been able to come here lately because of COVID. XO

  13. Oy vey…I am way behind again….speaking of time and such, MOL!!

I am going to skip the fillins this week, to keep things brief…
    But I enjoyed your answers.

Blogging takes a ton of time, but it is a fun pastime. And I enjoy ‘meeting’ all the others!

  14. I bet those are fond memories. 🙂 My first and only fan letter was to Palaye Royale. Upon meeting two of the brothers, I handed over a card thanking them for the fact their music helped me through my mother’s death.

I sure enjoy your blog, so thank you for taking the time. ~hugs~ Beautiful angels, too, a sad loss.

    1. I remember when you got to meet them I was so happy for you. Thank you for the sweet compliment. XO

  15. Blogging IS a lot of work, and I have to admit I’ve been enjoying taking a break from it. I will still be back though! I had to get help with moving to a new URL, so I’m having to adapt to that person’s schedule too. By the time it’s up and running I’ll be ready to come back, though I doubt I’ll post nearly as often as I used to.

  16. As always, your fill-ins are fantastic! Your Rosie is such a sweet and fun little lady. She reminds me of my calico Tonks. And you are so right about blogging. It can be time-consuming, but I really enjoy it. It’s so nice to have online friends who love cats as much as you do. Purrs!
