Friendly Fill-Ins Week 215

Hi everyone! I apologize to all who commented yesterday and got pushed into SPAM. I updated my plug-ins and checked the settings. I will keep working on it and I will fetch you out of SPAM.

Before we start, we want to give our condolences to Cody’s mom and dad and brother, Dakota. Sadly Cody left for The Rainbow Bridge. To leave your condolences, click here.

We also want to send our condolences to Dot of Dash Kitten, to visit, click here.

Time for the Friendly Fill-Ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link ( see below) to the hop so everyone can visit you.

1. My plans for the weekend include ____________________.
2. I ________________fireworks.
3. I’m grateful I have the freedom to _________.
4. _________ make(s) a house a home.
My answers:
1. My plans for the weekend include staying home. My mom will join us for a 4th of July mini bbq on Saturday, but that is all the socializing we will be doing.
2. I am not a fan of fireworks. I don’t like the noise or the smell or being outside.
3. I’m grateful I have the freedom to do everything I want to do. God Bless America!
4. Cats make a house a home.  ( I bet you all knew I would say that )
We are also joining Create With Joy’s Friendship Friday and Feline Friday currently hosted by Comedy Plus.
Here is a flashback of Angel Phoebe from July 2015. This is one of my favorite photos of her.

  2. 1. My plans for the weekend include I have to be at work…the 4th and the 5th…
    2. I like to see the fireworks, but could do without all the smell and racket. They likely will be showing up on my way home from work…and they are booming around here right now already.
    3. I’m grateful I have the freedom to come and go form our home to work and the grocery store and the hair salon once again….
    4. Love make(s) a house a home.

I am glad you found out a bout the issue with the comments, else you might have thought everyone was shunning you, MOL!

That was a fun pic of Phoebe!

So very sad about Dot and Cody.

  3. Love the Phoebe photo. How much do you want to bet that #4 gets that same fill-in on most blogs. MOL! It did on ours. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer

  4. Glad you figured out the comment problem – we weren’t in your SPAM folder I don’t think! Mom and Dad have SPAM for breakfast once in a while with eggs. HAHA Let’s hope NO FIREWORKS but something tells me we’ll all hear them this year – people are bored and want some excitement. Sadly that might mean FIREWORKS! Get your ear plugs out.

    Hugs, Teddy (and Mom)

  5. Angel Phoebe..I .miss you pretty girl. And Angel Spooky too.

I like going to the salon too as many of the mom’s do. And the noise and smell of fireworks is not anything I have ever been glad to see. I don’t care for it.
    XO Katie Isabella

  6. My comments have been listed as spam, but now i know so i will just comment anyway and let you sort it. Technology is great and terrible at the same time.

Great answers on the fill-ins, and thank you so much for hosting!

  7. Weekend plans, hoping for calm and quiet (sans the boom boom of fireworks!)
Not grateful for fireworks, can be pretty I guess, but too many animals are frightened by them.
Grateful for the many freedoms of the USA, but we need to do a lot of work to sustain them and to grow them to be more inclusive for many.
Love, patience and understanding make a house a home.
To all, stay safe, stay with those you know and those who are close to you.

    1. Thank you for these great answers. I dislike fireworks too. Have a nice 4th! XO

  8. Yes, I was pretty sure of your fill-in for #4! We will be home for the 4th, we are staying home most of the time anyhoo except for food shopping and necessary errands. It’s scary here in Florida with the Covid. I think your mini bbq with your Mom sounds like a great plan. Angel Phoebe♥
    1. My plans for the weekend include potato salad, hamburgers on the grill and strawberry shortcake.
    2. I wish they would ban the sale of fireworks.

  9. I wondered why I was spam yesterday after commenting on your blog all these many times. Glad to know it was just a plugin update issue.

So sad about Cody and Dot going to the bridge. It’s so hard to lose our babies.

Love all your fill-ins. The last one I knew and the fireworks one too.

Thank you for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-ins and joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Feline Friday and weekend, Ellen. Scritches to the kitties. ♥

  10. We forgive you about the SPAM thing.
We’re sorry to here about Cody. The last we knew he was going to vet with Dakota for his own problems. We’re sad to here this news.
Great answers for Friendly Fill-Ins. Cats do make a house a home.

  11. Just noticed you kitty in the header has on a mask. Too cute.
I think there are more folks who don’t like fireworks we have to endure them. They scare me in the hot dry weather too
    Hugs cecilia

  12. That’s a sweet pic of Angel Phoebe. I could care less about fireworks and we stay home most of the time, especially during holidays. I agree with your answer to #5.

  13. I’m so sad for Cody and Dot’s passing. My prayers to their families.

Our fill ins are very similar this week. Have a great weekend!

  14. Such a cute photo of Angel Phoebe! I don’t like fireworks because it scares my cat. I always feel sorry for the wildlife too…they must be terrified with the noise.

  15. I thought perhaps that ‘spam’ notice was a glitch. Well done in finding the problem! More losses of beloved pets makes me sad. I’ll stop by their blogs. Happy Independence Day! I’m with you on being grateful to live here, for sure.

  16. Those were good, but we don’t like those darn fireworks either. We remember when we used to have the freedom to do as we please, seems like those days are gone.

  17. No spam for us, Ellen, we didn’t get anything at all..MOL…but today we received your mail again 🙂 That’s such a sweet picture of Angel Phoebe and we loved your fill-inn answers too😸Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend to all of you🐾😽💞

  18. We are not big fans of fireworks either. With all the stay-at-home stuff we bet this will be a noisy year. We have no plans other than to be here with Mom and Dad tending to Misty.

Our condolences to all who have lost a beloved furry.

Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber

  21. I don’t think I was going to spam, just can’t see any comments including my own until the next day. I can see all the previous comments today so am hoping I will be able to see mine too.

  22. Glad you were able to fix the comment problem!
We had several mini-BBQs to celebrate my birthday, and it was nice to be able to concentrate on the other so much more.
    Enjoy the weekend!

  23. Nope, still can’t see my own 🙁 Not to worry, I know it will be visible to me tomorrow.

  24. The peeps are all excited cos the Macy’s fireworks are on the Hudson River so they can see them from the courtyard. That means I’ll be alone. We’re also having a huge flyover tomorrow night. Both should be noisy. Thanx for the fill-ins.

  25. I had stopped getting your email notifications again, but they’re back today. So at least your plugin updates did something! 🙂
Other than a few hours at my shop, we will be staying home for the 4th as well.
