Friendly Fill-Ins Week 213

Time for the Friendly Fill-Ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. If you didn’t do a post for them, you can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link ( see below) to the hop so everyone can visit you.

1. __________________ motivates me to __________________.
2. I put salt on _________________.
3. When it comes to _________, I don’t cut corners.
4. Never forget _________.
My answers:
1. Nothing motivates me to exercise.
2. I put salt on everything I buy that is used like books and even the nativity ( see yesterday’s post). That is supposed to clear the energy from previous owners. I realize how insane that sounds, especially salting the nativity. I like to think of it as a quirk.
3. When it comes to my cats, I don’t cut corners. I try to be frugal with everything else, but I make sure the cats always get the best vet care and good food.
4. Never forget loved ones ( 2 and 4-legged) that are no longer with us.
We are also joining Create With Joy’s Friendship Friday and Feline Friday currently hosted by Comedy Plus.
I was very sad to see that A Streetcat Named Bob left for The Rainbow Bridge. My Angel Prancie and I were big fans of him. Perhaps they met in Heaven.

  1. Good fill-ins, Ellen! I’m sad about the loss of Streetcat Bob, too. XO

  2. Great answers.

And we are so very sad about Bob 🙁

    Purrs xx

  3. I agree with #1. I once bought a treadmill and it still sits in the garage buried under years of Ivor’s junk.

    1. I had a treadmill and gave it away because I never used it then I bought a used one and eventually gave that away too. XO

  4. We’re very sad about Bob cat too, I’m sure he’s with you Angel Prancie💗
Ah…using some witchcraft to clean negative energies with salt, huh 😉 Not quircky at all!
Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend, Ellen and furry furriends🐾😽💞

  5. Good fill-ins….didn’t know about salt perhaps removing bad spirits but if that’s true then every bite of food I eat is FREE of them! I love salt – I shouldn’t but I do. We were extremely sad to hear about dear Bob passing on but there’s a lot of comfort in knowing that he brought his human companion a LOT of fame and fortune and totally changed his life. We cats are magic! It’s a most heart-warming story.

    Hugs, Teddy

    1. Thank you 🙂 Bob sure did change his human’s life, I hope he will be OK without him. XO

  6. I was heartbroken over Bob when I read about him yesterday♥
Quirky is good 🙂 I hear you on #1!
    1. Nothing motivates me to pick up my camera anymore.
    2. I put salt on very few things.
    3. When it comes to making homemade noodles, I don’t cut corners.
    4. Never forget to be kind.
    Thanks for the Fill-Ins!

    1. I was too. Bob was so special. Thank you for these great answers. I am sorry you lost the urge to take photos, I hope it comes back. I bet your noodles are amazing. Have a nice weekend. XO

  7. Pawesome fill-ins! #2 we have used salt across doorways before and the main gates and for other things too! MOL We were so sad about Bob’s departure too 🙁 🙁 🙁

  8. Haha nothing motivates me to exercise, either.
I’m sad to know Bob passed away.

  9. I did fill-ins at Angel Sammy and Teddy’s place. 🙂 To tell you the truth, when it stops raining and I am out doing my power walks, I feel like a million dollars all day. Now, that does not mean I don’t have force myself out the door because I do. However, once it’s done..it’s a wonderful energetic feeling all day. I don’t Schlep. I hit it!

    1. I will go read them over there. I wish I could motivate to walk, I used to all the time. XO

  10. Meowser great answers …. and questions, too, Ms. Ellen! I must investigate this purrtective aspect of salt.
Thank you for hosting this blog hop.

  11. Great fill ins as always. We have similar answers for #3. I love your answer to #4. Lately, I can’t stop thinking of my beautiful Trudy that I recently lost. I miss her so much. Then, my mind starts to drift off and think of all the furbabies I lost. Socrates is actually the name of one I lost years ago. He’s the cat that comes up in my avatar pic.

    Have a great weekend!

    1. Thank you. I am very sorry about Trudy. Losing a beloved cat is so hard. XO

  12. I know you’re frugal except where your kitties are concerned. As it should be.

Thank you for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-ins.

I’m sure your angel is visiting many kitties in heaven.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend, Ellen. Scritches to all the kitties. ♥

  13. Our mom definitely relates to number 1. MOL! And as for number 2, she does a lot of cleansing. She uses salt and burns sage. And she’ll soak some sage leaves in a spray bottle of water and spritz it. Same thing with Kosher salt.

  14. Fantastic fill-ins! I actually enjoy exercising, but that’s probably not normal. I especially enjoy kickboxing. And we had the same thought for #3. My furbabies always come first. You are also so right about #4. And I was also so sad to hear of Bob’s passing. I bet he and Prancie are great orange buddies up there. Purrs!

  15. We love your answers for Friday Fill-Ins.
We didn’t do Friendly Fill-Ins this week but instead a tribute poem to our fur-friend Abacus June who earned her wings a few days ago to fly over the Rainbow Bridge. We hope you don’t mind but we do hope to be back next week.

  16. I liked your replies I am with you on excersise heheh!

Sorry to hear about the loss of Bob RIP 🙁

Have a frugaltastic weekend and stay safe 😷😷😷

  17. Gosh, I’ve never thought about ‘salting’ my resale purchases…but it’s a great idea!
We too are very sad that Streetcat Bob left this earth; his story touched millions.

  18. so sorry to hear about Streetcat Bob. He must have been such a lovely cat.

  19. Those were good answers! We do like to help our Dad exercise, he does a good bit every day still.

  20. I’m not familiar with #2 concerning salt but hey any bad energy one can clear is a good thing especially nowadays.
    Hugs Cecilia

  22. I think we all can agree with number three !!! we’ve shared some “quirks” between us; I’ve never heard the salt one until now !!

  23. Great answers! I too salt everything! Especially Windows! Salt not only cleanses bad energy but it’s a barrier to keep bad spirits from entering your home!

We are very sad about the loss of Bob too 🙁

  24. I love #3 and I’ve always done the same with all of our pets.
I’ve never heard of the salt thing, but it seems like it can’t hurt! I have my own little quirks and habits, and even my own hubby thinks I’m crazy sometimes. 🙂

  25. We bet Prancie and Bob are having a great Orangey time together !

  26. Sorry about the loss of Bob.

1.My work provided fitness app, and my Fitbit, motivates me to put in lots of steps, stairs and other fitness things….
    2. I put salt on tomatoes, but my sister puts sugar on them!.
    3. When it comes to health, both for our pets and us peeps, I don’t cut corners.
    4. Never forget how we got our freedom to live the way we do. It was expensive…in lives.

    1. Thank you for these great answers. I think that is great that your work provides a fitbit. I agree about #4. Have a nice weekend. XO

  27. It’s sad Bob left this world, but it’s amazing how he changed his human’s life.
I am sure your cats know and appreciate that you are doing everything you can for them.
    Have a fantastic weekend!

  28. Thank you for the fill-ins. Your second answer was a bit strange. We didn’t know that was a thing but now we do. Answers 3 and 4 were perfect.

  29. I didn’t know that about salt! Very interesting. I adored Bob.

  30. Considering Mom knows all those kind of things, we’re really surprised she didn’t know about salt.
