Hi everyone! Time for the Friendly Fill-Ins. Please leave your link (at bottom of post) here or at my co-host’s Four-Legged Furballs. You can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you.

1. I joined ____________ in _______________.

2. I wish I’d asked _______________ about _________________.

3. _________ had the biggest impact on who I am today.
4. _________ is the most beautiful place I have ever been.
My answers:
1. I joined theCWA in 2019, but most of you already knew that.
2. I wish I’d asked my Dad more about his younger years.
3. My first cat, KaChoo (1994-2010)  had the biggest impact on who I am today. My love for her made me into the cat lady that I am today.
4. Home is the most beautiful place I have ever been. My house is small and nothing special, but it is filled with my kitties and that makes it the most beautiful place in my eyes.
We are also joining Create With Joy’s Friendship Friday and Feline Friday currently hosted by Comedy Plus.

  1. Happy Friday! Thanks yet again for being one of our hosts for Fill-Ins…..we always have fun deciding who will fill in the blanks and what we will be saying. We hope you have a super duper weekend…………

    Love, Teddy and Mom too

  2. Like you, i want to ask the elders of my family more about their lives, and it is too late for many of them.

Home is truly where your heart is.

KaChoo sounds like a very special cat indeed.

  3. KaChoo, such a beautiful cat. We have her to thank for your kindness and love for all cats. So much love that many cats have been rescued by you and loved and respected until the very end. I wish I knew more about my family. I am not in touch with any of them. Most are all gone.

    1. I joined the blogging world back in 2003 when I started blogging on a pet forum. Then on to Blogger and then to WP in May of 2011.
    2. I wish I’d asked my Grandma about how she made her potato pancakes. I still have the big blue bowl she grated the potatoes in. It has to be almost 100 years old.
    3. One of my high school teachers had the biggest impact on who I am today.
    4. Any day near the ocean is the most beautiful place I have ever been.

    1. Thank you for these great answers. You have been blogging a very long time. I wish I had started back then. It is sad when someone is gone and we c=don’t have their recipes. That is nice that you have her bowl.
Sounds like you had a good teacher. Have a great weekend! XO

  4. Ms. Ellen thank you for hosting this blog hop. ,,,, I have a question – did KaChoo have allergies? Did she sneeze a lot (like Pops) and is that how she got her name? I ask because I’m thinking I could give Pops a new nickname…

    1. MOL! KaChoo did not have allergies, but that would be a good nickname for your Pops.

  5. Ellen,

Thanks for hosting. You and I are sorta on the same page with fill-in #2, except I was thinking about my grandparents. Can you believe it’s September? I can’t. In a couple of weeks, the seasons change again. While I’m looking forward to autumn, I can’t believe how the days are getting away from me. Have a funtastic weekend, dearie!

    1. Thank you. I love autumn and look forward to it. I hope you have a n ice weekend too> XO

  6. I love all your answers and I didn’t know that your first kitty made you the cat lady. I do know how much you love your kitties and your home. That’s a good thing.

Thank you for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-ins. I so enjoy participating each week.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect day and weekend, Ellen. ♥

  7. I too wish I knew more about both parents really in their younger years. They have been gone for awhile now and so are their siblings, No one to ask any longer.

I enjoyed your answers and I think you are a good and loving mom and wife.

    1. Thank you 🙂 I am planning to go to the conference unless i have a very sick kitty. XO

  8. Your home is yours, and it IS special! We all aren’t living like Martha Stewart, and having multiple cats means we have catified things that maybe non-cat owners don’t understand…but that’s THEIR problem, not yours or ours!

  9. Love your answers, especially #3 and #4. Home is the most beautiful place indeed when there are kitties. KaChoo had a huge impact on you — and a very positive one. 🙂

  10. Your answers made me smile big! I was just chatting with a friend about life and things and people. Pets too! Her rescue boy Merlin is a pit bull. He needs more surgery and she is scared. Those fur babies are our phamily. Thank you for sharing with me. I appreciate you Happy Friday! Happy Weekend! HUGS

    1. Thank you 🙂 I will add Merlin to my prayer list. I hope you have a nice weekend. XO

  11. These are such purrfect fill-ins! I think it’s wonderful that you joined the CWA. You certainly deserve to be a member. I want to and keep meaning to give it a shot, but I guess I just haven’t gathered the courage yet. And your answer to #3 is similar to mine about my Rosie. I believe my time with Rosie turned me into the cat lady I am as well. Many purrs and prayers to you!
