Hi everyone! Time for the Friendly Fill-Ins. Please leave your link (at bottom of post) here or at my co-host’s Four-Legged Furballs. You can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you.

1. I have been contemplating ___________________________________.

2. I want to ____________ a _________________ about __________________.

3. People should worry less about _________ and more about _________.
4. I want to make the world a better place by _________.
My answers:
1. I have been contemplating shaving my arms. I have dark hair so the hair is pretty obvious. Any thoughts on this?
2. I want to take a class about how to upholster chairs. I want to paint and then upholster the diningroom chairs that belonged to my hubby’s parents.
3. People should worry less about keeping up with the Joneses and more about improving relationships with friends and family.
4. I want to make the world a better place by teaching kids compassion for animals through my books.
We are also joining Create With Joy’s Friendship Friday and Feline Friday currently hosted by Comedy Plus.
This is a flashback of Angel Stinky from July 2016.
And the winner of the Socksery socks isPam of Sidewalk Shoes-Congratulations!
And if you could spare some purrs and prayers for Noel, I would greatly appreciate it. I found a huge lump on her tummy, bigger than a gold ball. She has an appointment today. I am praying it is not cancer. She is 14 so it is possible, but I am trying to stay hopeful.

  1. Praying for Noel.

Reupholstering the chairs sounds like a great idea, and it makes sense to me to learn to do it yourself since you are good at sewing.

Keeping up with the Joneses is overrated, i agree with spending your time enjoying your own loved ones instead.

  2. Angel Stinky really lived the good life with you …
our prayers are with Noel, hope alle will be fine soon.

  3. I wouldn’t shave my arms. I would think it would make me even more self-conscious and even more itchy, too.

I think learning to upholster things could be a lot of fun. 🙂

All of you answers are great ones.

    Angel Stinky was adorable and so is Noel. I hope that she is going to be okay. {{{Hugs}}}

    Have a blessed weekend.

  4. We will be praying for Noel – hoping it’s a hairball or something not scary in her tummy. Mom loves your filling in – she’s always thought upholstery would be cool and she has some chairs she’d like to do…..I bet you can find a “class” online! She says shaving your arms would be something super uncomfortable to do all the time – people pay attention to your kindness and not your arm hair and you’re one of the sweetest and kindest peeps she knows. So there!

    Hugs, Teddy

    1. Good idea to look for finding youtube videos. Much cheaper than a class. Thank you for the prayers-she needs them. XO

  5. All my thoughts are for Noel. I will be waiting for an update. Let it just be a fatty lipoma. Angel Stinky…please give Angel Spooky my love?

  6. In my ‘for what it is worth’ department, I know a woman who is very fair skinned, but has dark hair – she had electrolysis done on her arms (legs, too) and that got rid of the hair permanently, but it was expensive and she found coupons on Groupon that helped. Other than that, I imagine you could get a friend to help and try waxing.

    1. Waxing is so painful, I get my lip and eyebrows done. I tried threading too and it feels like a rug burn.

  7. Sending purrs and blessings to Noel! I wouldn’t shave my arms – perhaps lightening the hair may be an option or there are several products on the market to remove hair. Keeping up with the Joneses is a joke any more because they may look affluent on the outside but could be deep in debt.

  8. Prayers for Noel. Please keep us in the loop.

Hubby uses an electric razor to shame the hair on his arms. His hair is light, but the hair grows out so long. Try it.

I want to see the chairs when you’re done.

Thank you for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-ins.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend, Ellen. Healing hugs for Noel. ♥

    1. Thank you for the prayers, she needs them. An electric shaver is a good idea Have a nice weekend!XO

  9. I am sending good thoughts for Noel.
I don’t think shaving would be a good idea because the hair would grow back blunt and look thicker. Maybe try waxing. It gets easier with time and the hairs grow back finer on legs, and I assume it would be the same for arms.
Apart from anything else, I am sure you notice them far more than anybody else does.

  10. Sending healing purrz for Noel.
Those are great answers. Being a cat I was really at the loss. TW has never shaved her arms but shaves every place else and I do mean every place. MOL! Once you start doing it, you have to keep it up.

    1. Thank you for the prayers. And I think TW is going to be mad at you for giving out that info. XO

  11. You never can start too early teaching children how to treat animals!
I hope everything goes well with Noel, prayers coming your way!
    Have a wonderful Feline Friday!

  12. So you’re thinking about shaving your arms, eh? First response is NO! When the hair grows back it will be like a stubble….not good. How about trying a bleaching agent. They have them for eyebrows so I’ll bet they’d have them for body areas too.

We all loved your fill ins.

    Jean

    1. I would still know it was there. Glad you liked the fill-ins. I am glad you participated. XO

  13. All paws crossed for Noel, we know you must be worried.

Mom says she wouldn’t shave her arms either, you would have to keep doing it, and it might look worse. How about bleaching the hair?

Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber

  14. Your fill-ins are always fantastic! I also have really dark and obvious arm hair, but I think I myself would be too lazy to keep up with shaving my arms. However, I used to know a lady who shaved her arms because she couldn’t stand it. She told me she started keeping to a schedule once she knew how quickly her arm hair grew, so that she’d best stay on top of it. And your answer to #4 is so purrfect. I hope to have some books out in the future that might have some sort of message along the those lines, or at least I hope. Your books are such a great inspiration. Purrs!

    1. Thank you. I shave my legs daily so I would do the same with my arms, but that is time consuming 🙂 Thank you for the compliment on my books. XO

  15. Angel Sticky, such a cute photo. All leaning back on the chair with the paws crossed. Too adorable. We love your fill-in answers. Thanks for the share. Have a fantastic upcoming weekend.

  16. noel…..we haz all 984 pawz crozzed de lump iz knot a bad any thing ~~~~~~~~~~~ st francis’ blessingz two ewe….. N tell yur mom knot ta shavez her arms, her shuld get tat twooz !! 🙂 ♥♥

  17. Furstly, we’re sendin’ lots of purrayers fur Noel. As fur the shavin’ of the arms, mommy does that and has fur years. She also shaves the peach fuzz on her face and neck. Actually, she epilated them fur years and then somepawdy gave her one of those hair removal systems that work with lasers and lights. She just hasn’t had a chance to use it yet, but go fur it we say. The hairs eventually grow back sparser and lighter. Big hugs

    Luv ya’

    Dezi and Raena

    1. Thank you. I am very tempted. ANd thank you for the prayers- she needs them. XO

  18. Our mom used to use Sally Hansen wax strips but they changed and just wound up leaving a lot of glue (and hair) behind. Ick. She got an Epilady several years ago and says it was one of the best purchases she ever made.

    Purrs for Noel!

  19. First of all..we are sending huge purrs and POTP and Mom is sending prayers to Noel. Hopefully what you found out at the vet today was not bad news. Great fill-ins. As I am fair and have no hair on my arms or legs due to my disease, I cannot give you an answer to #1. #4 was the purrfect answer to which I totally agree. Hugs, Janet and XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer

  20. All I can say, is that God made you to be the PERFECT Ellen, and only by comparing yourself to others, makes you dissatisfied. Arm hair, length of nose, boobs too big or not big enough…love yourself as you are, the way we all love you! I am behind on my comments, so I haven’t read what news you’ve had on Noel, but I’m still sending purrs and hugs.

  21. I think you’ve gotten a good start on #4 with your books!
We have an old stuffed wing chair with matching ottoman that belonged to my hubby’s father. I would love to have it reupholstered, but I’m not sure I’m up to learning anything more new these days! 🙂 Good luck if you do it!
