Hi everyone! Time for the Friendly Fill-Ins. Please leave your link (at bottom of post) here or at my co-host’s Four-Legged Furballs. You can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate. Don’t forget to add your link to the hop so everyone can visit you.

1. I admire ____________________.

2. I can’t wait for _____________to bloom.
3. I’m proud to say _________.
4. _________ make(s) me nervous.
My answers:
1. I admire anyone who adopts a child. It seems like a lot of effort to adopt and you have no idea of the troubles the child will have. I am not that brave.
2. I can’t wait for the magnolia tree to bloom, it is my favorite.
3. I’m proud to say I have a dozen cats even though most are shocked when I say that.
4. The bump on Sammy’s nose makes me nervous. I can’t stop obsessing about it. He has an appointment Monday to get it checked.

We are also joining Create With Joy’s Friendship Friday and Feline Friday currently hosted by Comedy Plus. We are also joining FiveSibes Flashback Friday.
This is my Angel Lucy from March 2015.She was a great model.

  1. I hope that Sammy’s nose is going to be okay.

When does your magnolia usually bloom? I think they are beautiful. We have what looks like a magnolia tree in our backyard, but it hasn’t bloomed the whole time we’ve been here.

I’m not shocked by the number of kitties that you have. You have a lot of love for the kitties and they are very blessed to have you in their lives. They know where to come to find love and acceptance.

I hope that you have a blessed weekend. 🙂

    1. Thank you. Our magnolia blooms in May. I hope you and David have a blessed weekend. XO

  2. Great fill ins. I am not shocked by the amount of cats you have as I know you love them all and take the greatest care of them. I once had 11 cats so it wouldn’t shock me 🙂
Last year I saw an offer for a small magnolia tree. I think they said it was immature. A stick with roots on arrived! This year it had the grand total of 3 flowers! I think there would have been a few more but the storms broke some of the buds off.

    1. Thank you. We used to have 15 when I started the blog. Right now with so many on meds, we couldn’t afford any more. Magnolias take a long time to grow. XO

    1. At least a cat can’t grow up to harm people. Thanks for letting me know about that site. XO

  3. Super fill-ins……we agree about adoptions….it’s something not everyone can do well but you definitely know how to keep the kitty cat world happy!! We pray Sammy’s nose bump is OK. We’ll be anxious to hear.

    Love, Teddy

  4. Nothing wrong with having so many cats. We have more than that but I can’t help myself and most of mine live outside and are very happy. We sure send lots of good thoughts for Sammy’s nose. You all have a great day.

  5. 1. I admire my friends, both blog friends and friends in my real life. I was lucky and found friends that do wonderful things and have beautiful talents and have big hearts. They all make me try to be a better person. I learn so much from them.
    2. I can’t wait for the Magnolias to bloom. But the squirrels…. squirrel!… keep eating the buds! Had to say Magnolia, Ellen, it’s the only thing that hasn’t bloomed here.
    3. I am proud to say that I love CATS!
    4. Hurricane season makes me nervous.
Hope Sammy’s bump is nothing to be concerned about… fingers crossed.

    1. Thank you for these great fill-in answers. Hurricane season would make me nervous too if I lived where you did.
Darn squirrel -maybe you need to feed him some nuts. Have a nice weekend! XO

  6. I would be proud to say that I am owned by a dozen cats too, and someday, I’ll achieve that goal. We worry with you about Sammy’s lump; fingers are crossed that it’s a nothingburger.

  7. Love your answers and I’m glad you’re taking your baby to the vet on Monday. Better to know for sure. I hope it’s nothing serious.

Love Angel Lucy. Angels bring such fond memories.

Thank you for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-ins.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend, Ellen. Scritches to all the babies. ♥

  8. Ellen, I surely agree with you on #1 Prior to a sister-in-law adopting, I wouldn’t have thought twice. Alas, the little boy that she wanted so badly (she couldn’t have her own) was probably from a crack-mom and the kid is wild (adopted as a baby, now 6) They even had to find homes for their beloved pets because the little guy liked to torture them… He has broken my sister-in-law’s collar bone and If if it possible for a 6 year old to be a sociopath, I suspect the little guy is one. I don’t know what to do except pray.

    1. That is so sad and exactly what I would fear- I would never put my pets in danger. XO

  9. Adoption is a wonderful thing for both humans and animals. My husband was adopted and we have a friend that adopted a chinese baby, now a cute little boy. They are going to China to adopt another.

    Purr blessings for Sammy’s nose.

  10. I always look forward to your fill-ins. I know a few people who have adopted children, and you are so right about that being an admirable thing. Like you, my parents have a dozen cats. When others hear that number, they always act so shocked, but the reality is that the cats are happy and healthy and loved. Your kitties are all of those things, too, and all 12 of them are so very blessed to have you. Many, many purrs and prayers to Sammy, and all of you!

    1. Thank you. That is cool your folks have a dozen too 🙂 And thank you for the prayers for Sammy. XO

  11. Neat answers. In TW’s family, there are at least 4 adopted Korean children. One went on to become a MD at one of the famous hospitals in Boston. infertility apparently ran in the family. TW loves magnolia trees and really any trees that bloom. She always wanted a dogwood tree when she had the house. We don’t have them here. Sending healing purrz to Sammy.

    1. Thank you. I like dogwood too. And thanks for the healing purrs for Sammy. XO

  12. We are sending purrs and prayers that our Cat Scout friend Sammy’s nose is alright and you feel better about it
    Love these Fill Ins. Wonderful
    Timmy, Dad and Family

  13. I can’t wait for the first daffodils to bloom. However, since it’s snowing today, I think it’s going to be a while!! 🙂
Thank you for your prayers for Samantha, we will be doing the same for your Sammy. I’m glad you noticed the toys you made were in the photo! I didn’t even realize it until I went to edit it. 🙂

  14. Mom loves magnolia trees too, but she wishes their blooms would last longer. All paws crossed for Sammy’s bump to be of no concern.

Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber

  15. Ellen,,

I’m sorry I didn’t include the fill-ins on my post today but as you know I’m busy with the A2Z prep. That being said, I’ll answer them here. 🙂

    1. I admire _those who rise above their circumstances for a fuller, richer life, instead of using it as an excuse for their failures_.
    2. I can’t wait for _my lilac bush_to bloom.
    3. I’m proud to say _I have only six more A2Z sketches (and posts) to do which I’m confident I can get done next week without a problem__.
    4. _Heavy traffic_ make(s) me nervous. To be more specific the many crazy drivers on the road who can care less what they do just as long as they can save a nanosecond on their time…if they escape injury or death. They are insane!

Have a great weekend and thanks for visiting today! 😉

    1. No worries. Thank you for putting answers here, I enjoyed them. I look forward to your A-Z drawings.
I love lilacs too. Have a nice weekend! XO

  16. Blooming magnolias are a wonderful sight.
To live with a dozen cats is really something to be proud of.
I hope Sammy will be alright. If it was my cat, I would be nervous as well.
    Have a wonderful week!

  17. Love your answers! A dozen cats sound great to me! (I have 7 pets: five Siberian Huskies (one is a furangel now), and two adopted cats: a feral and an abandoned cat (who is now a furangel, too). I joined in your Friendly Fill-Ins today, too! 🙂 Thanks for joining in our Flashback Friday Blog Hop! So nice to have you!

    1. Thank you. Sounds like you have a house full of love too 🙂 Thanks for joining the fill-ins, I will check them out now.

  18. As an adopted child, I am very thankful that my parents looked at that as an option… and not just because they couldn’t have children (they could and did!). They have one biological child – my older brother – and they adopted both me and my younger sister (they fostered her first). With so many babies and kids needing homes, adoption is a wonderful thing!

    1. It is a wonderful thing and I didn’t mean to make it sound like it wasn’t. I just believe in nature vs. nurture and no matter how much nurturing, there is still some nature involved. Your parents sound amazing. XO

  19. Magnolia tree blossoms are one of the most beautiful sightings in spring.

I hope everything turns out well for Sammy. I know how worried you are about him. xo

  20. 1. I admire the elderly and the wisdom they have about so many things.

    2. I can’t wait for all the flowers and trees of spring to bloom; they are so beautiful and full of bright new life.
    3. I’m proud to say i had perfect attendance for five of the 7 1/2 years I have worked at the nursing home. I got ‘awards’ for that too:).
    4. Pipo is making me nervous, with all of his newly discovered issues…but we have a great vet, so that helps to allevialt a lot of my anxiety…and all the good thoughts and prayers too, of course.

    1. Thank you for your answers. I can understand why Pipo’s making you nervous with his sickness. I admire the elderly too and wish they were treated better. Congrats on perfect attendance I admire when someone is so dedicated to their work. XO

  21. Lucy was so cute in that flashback photo. Mom agrees with you on adoption. People who do are angels. We’ll be praying that the bump on Sammy’s nose turns out to be nothing to worry about. Mom adores magnolia flowers. The neighbors on the other side of the alley have a huge magnolia tree, and it makes her so happy each year when it blooms. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer

  22. Oh I hope Sammy will be ok. I love magnolia blossoms too. They are a very lovely flower. I used to see the trees in Oakland California. I think Arizona is too hot for them because I don’t see them here.
