Hi everyone. We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am thankful my mom and I got to be there to see the girls off on their first day of school once again. I took a photo of my niece every year and hope to for the girls and the Boy.

When my niece graduated from high school, I made a poster for her party that had those photos. I just came across it.

And the girls had to make a video while waiting for the bus.

 

Now, for Friday’s fibs. Two of you were correct in guessing #`1 was the only fib. The winners are Jackie

( Messymimi) and Terry ( Brian’s Home). I usually only do one gift card, but I have some extra money from cat sitting so I figured I would share the wealth.

I actually had The Great one cut my hair a few weeks ago. She did a good job too. The Slime Dancer wants to do it next time, but I told her she had to wait until she was 10. Everything else is true. I hate talking on the phone, my brain doesn’t work that fast. I prefer to gather my thoughts with emails. The kids do call my mom, Ghee because Great Grammie was too much for them to say when they were really young. And I do have a bean ladder, but I doubt it works.

We found it when cleaning out my sister-in-law’s house. I am pretty sure we gave it to her as a joke about 30 years ago.

  4. The girls look like sisters! Beautiful! Back in my day they didn’t take “first day of school” pictures. All I have are the class picture which was sometimes (not always) taken when I was in grade school and my yearly yearbook shot in high school. I think it’s wonderful to compare the years.

    1. Thank you. I think there is only one year I have a photo from a first day of school for me. I have always been annoyed at the lack of photos of me growing up so I was sure to take a lot of my niece and now her kids. XO

  12. Congrats to the winners! I should have stuck with #1 but went with #3. 😉 That was fun.

    How cool that you are starting first day photos with the kids. It’ll be fun to see how they change through the years.

  25. We missed the fun, as usual…but we’re glad to finally be here😸We’ve seen the girl’s videos, we watch them effurry time, they’re fun🐱Love the collage, that was a great idea. Granny did one for our twofeet sistur and twofeet nephew when they got 18 years and it still makes her happy🐱In december she has to do another one for twofeet nephew two. Double Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend to all of you🐾😽💞
