Friendly Fill-Ins Week 145

Hi everyone! Time for the Friendly Fill-Ins. Please leave your link (at bottom of post) here or at my co-host’s Four-Legged Furballs. You can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate.

1. I believe ____________.

2. I need to go Marie Kondo on my _________________________.

3. It does no good to _________.

4. I find _________ to be a walk in the park.

My answers:

  1. I believe cats are the best creatures on Earth.
  2. I need to go Marie Kondo on my clothes. I have way too many, sadly, a lot don’t fit, but I am an optimist and hope to fit in them someday.
  3. 3. It does no good to worry about things we have no control over. That is easier said than done though.
  4. I find crocheting cat toys to be a walk in the park. I don’t even need the pattern for most of them now.
We are also joining Create With Joy’s Friendship Friday and Feline Friday currently hosted by Comedy Plus.
And, this week we are joining, Pet Photo Fails which was started by Roby Sweet of The Cuddlywumps Chronicles. I am glad  Melissa and Miss Mudpie continue this in her memory.
Joanie gave me a great fail when she shook her hat off in a photo shoot.

  1. Because we no longer have to sew our own and we have washing machines to clean them for us, most people in this country do have too much clothing. It’s one of the biggest reasons we have a hard time getting and staying organized.

You certainly do crochet beautifully, the fact that you don’t need patterns any more is proof of Vince Lombardi’s quote that “practice makes permanent.”

Joanie’s fail is a great success!

  2. I have PILES of clothes in my closet. Of course, it doesn’t help that I have many of the clothes I wore in high school (that don’t exactly fit) – and because of my anorexia, pants in sizes from 2 to 12. I really need to get in there and donate. As an aside, Bear used to love climbing my piles 🙂

    1. That is a big range of sizes. I have a lot of sizes too, but 12 is probably the smallest 🙂

  3. I think I need to go Marie Kondo on my clothes/closet, too, but IMHO, my hubby not only needs to do that on his closet, but also the garage and everywhere else he squirrels away stuff…. I’m thinking he was a packrat in some previous life.

  4. Great answers! I’m with you on ALL of those except the last one because I can’t crochet, knit, OR sew! I can hand stitch and put on a button but that’s about it. Have a super weekend!

    Hugs, Pam

    1. Thank you 🙂 If you wanted to learn how, I am sure you would pick it up easily> XO

  5. Ellen,

I think all creatures humans and animals are wonderful! Of course, the furry, cute ones are especially nice. 🙂 I have too many clothes, too. Some don’t fit properly anymore but I hope to again. It’s hard for me to part with these garments because they are beautiful and you just can’t find anything like them in stores today. We are on the same page as number 3. I said something very close to you. You do a great job crocheting cat toys. It looks like something you have a lot of fun doing, too. I wish I learned how to crochet. My interests went elsewhere and I’m happy doing those things. 🙂 Have a good weekend!

    1. I have a lot of clothes I hope to fit in once again. I bet you could easily crochet if you decide to. XO

  6. You are so right about #3!
I believe leftovers are often better than the first time around.
I need to go Marie Kondo on my photos.
It does no good to resist watching Tinykittens.
I find shopping at The Publix to be a walk in the park.

I love photo fails! Enjoy your weekend Meowing Crew!

    1. Thank you for your answers, I enjoyed them. Yes, most things are better after they have sat awhile. I wish we had a Publix near us, I hear they have good prices. Have a nice weekend! XO

  7. We have the same answer for #3 and yet I still continue to worry about everything. LOL Hope you have a great weekend!

  8. Love your fill-ins. You so love your kitties and it shows.

Joanie did not want to play dress-up today. Good for her.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. My best to your peeps. ♥

  9. guyz….de food servizz gurl could haz 93,400 patturnz N still
    KNOT crow shay rite…. 🙂 🙂 🙂 😉 ♥♥♥

  10. Don’t know how you do it, but your cat toys are the bestest around, and some of them are so covered in cat hair that I’m sure the cats will ignore them…but nope, there they are, playing hockey with an old snowball or turkey leg!

  11. Whta is it about humans and clothes? TW owns more than the stores but only wears about 5 things. TW used to knit and crochet back in the old days. Now yarn is too expensive when she she find it around here. We don’t have Michaels and those stores close by. Way to go, Joannie.

    1. Same here, I always wear the same things and have a closet filled with clothes- most too small. Sorry you don’t have a Michael’s near you. 🙁

  12. Miss Ellen, I can’t tell you how much we love your crocheted toys! And you’re right, it’s no use worrying over something you can’t control. It uses too much energy that could be well spent somewhere else.

  13. Mom says she needs to do some closet purging too:)

She also wants to start a nice comforter crocheted from squares, but she needs to get better at the joining the squares part. Hers always looks messy.

  14. Yes, cats are magic!
I decluttered my clothes in the last months, and I gave more clothes away than I thought at the beginning. It was hard sometimes, but I feel so much better now.
    Have a wonderful week!

  15. Yep, #1 is just very, very true. Joanie, I applaud your independence!!! But maybe you could let your mom take one little make up shot for missing this one. Just to keep her happy.

  16. Way to go Joanie. Mom just gave the same answer to #3 to a different fill-in a couple of weeks ago, which is why Sawyer had to fill-i his week. We all appreciate your crocheting expertise as you make the best toys. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer

  17. Your answer to #1 is so true and purrfect! You know, I think my clothes are one of the few things that don’t really need Marie Kondo’s help. I’ve never enjoyed anything relating to fashion, or clothes shopping, and I pretty much wear my same favorite clothes over and over again. I really need to work on what you said in #3, because it is so true. And I really admire your ability to make such fun and lovely cat toys. I just didn’t get my grandma’s or mom’s talent for crocheting. My sister took all of that talent. Purrs to all!
