Friendly Fill-Ins Week 144

Hi everyone! Time for the Friendly Fill-Ins. Please leave your link (at bottom of post) here or at my co-host’s Four-Legged Furballs. You can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate.

1. If it wasn’t for ___________________, I ___________________.

2. ____________________ before ________________________.

3. _________ is my preferred method of communication.
4. You can’t buy _________.
My answers:
1. If it wasn’t for Stacia, I wouldn’t have met my hubby. She was a friend of a friend who was dating my hubby’s friend and thought we would be a good match-and she was correct. Eventually we also became actual friends not just acquaintances and I will forever be grateful to her.
2. I had several house rabbits before I became a crazy cat lady.
3. Writing is my preferred method of communication. I prefer email to the telephone. I like to be able to put some thought into my words.
4. You can’t buy willpower. I wish you could because I have none around food.I know some may say you can’t buy love, but you can- at a shelter for the price of an adoption fee.
Joanie loves her Gremmie.
We are also joining Create With Joy’s Friendship Friday and Feline Friday currently hosted by Comedy Plus.

  1. Your friend knew you well! It would be nice if we could buy willpower, i could use a bunch, also.

Joanie looks so pretty and motherly around Gremmie.

  2. Joannie and Gremmie are so cute together. 🙂

What kind of rabbits did you have? Our neighbors have rabbits fairly often. Unfortunately, they appear to be making food out of them. The cage is right beside the grill. I always pray for the bunnies to be able to escape. It is upsetting to see.

I’m glad that you met your hubby, too, and that you made another new friend in the process. What a sweet story. 🙂

    Have a blessed weekend!

    1. Thank you ? Hearing about those rabbits breaks my heart. Your neighbors are the most horrid people I have ever heard of. I had plain old bunnies, one had floppy ears. Most were average size and different colors. Have a blessed weekend. XO

  3. Joanie looks so cute with Gremmie. This is true that you can buy someone to love at a shelter. Everyone of the animals here at the Villa was free. They just seem to find us.

    Have a blessed week.

  4. Joanie and Gremmie are so sweet together.
I can see the comments today! I un-followed you yesterday then entered your url into my reader again to see if it made a difference. I hope it has and this is not just a one off.

    1. I think it worked, I got rid of the second comment. Sorry for the trouble. WordPress can be a pain. XO

  5. Super Duper Filling in today…nice that your friend Stacia put you in touch with the guy who won your heart! My Mom also likes email or any other way to communicate than telephone. She also said if you ever find the “Willpower Store” please let her know!

    Hugs, Teddy

  6. I’m the same way about writing. I’ve slowed down in recent years – but I still prefer to send off and get an e-mail than a phone call. Then I can address it in my time. Joanie is adorable!

  7. I like your comments and can follow that writing is one of the best option of communication, but same time I fell comfortable speaking a lot during the day.

What were the names of your house rabbits?

    1. Thank you ? I had many- Grinch, Grouch. Dennis Hopper Jr. , Junior, Tinky Winky, Dipsy, La La , Po, Splotch, Grace, Rick and Stomp.

  8. So enjoyed your Fill-in this morning! Nice how you met your Husband and happy you found him! I could use some willpower when it comes to food. I use to prefer the phone because I like to hear the person’s voice that is talking to me but now I prefer email, email so I can choose my words carefully. But really, talking to people is my preferred way to communicate with people.
    1. If it wasn’t for serendipity, I wouldn’t be living where I am now.
    2. A bite of leftover pizza before breakfast!
    3. Talking to people in person is my preferred method of communication.
    4. You can’t buy a good Hostess Chocolate Cupcake anymore. Why can’t they taste like they did when I was a kid??????? That was breakfast for me with a glass of Tang when I was in high school. My Mom was not happy about that.
Always nice to see Joanie and Gremmie!

    1. Thank you for these great answers. I haven’t had a hostess cupcake in years so I didn’t notice they were different. I like the idea of pizza before breakfast 🙂 Have a nice weekend! Joanie sends her love. XO

  9. I really like your #4 (as I sit here and eat some Thin Mints with my coffee!!)
and also agree about the adoption fee!!

  10. Joannie looks like she treats Gremmie the way Saphera cares for her stuffed animals. Very sweet.
Since we’ve always had pets show up, we’ve never paid an adoption fee, but you’re spot-on about pets giving true love. All ours were originally feral.

  11. Love your Fill-ins. I never knew you had bunnies before the kitties. Cute. I also love how you met your husband. I didn’t know that either.

Joanie is a pretty girl. A poser.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop, and thanks for co-hosting Friendly Fill-ins.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend all you kitties. My best to your mom. ♥

  12. Bunny rabbits?!?
That’s what I call Angel, since her fur is so very soft, and she bounces like a bunny! The Hubby tells me at least once a week that she isn’t a rabbit but a kitty, but I’ve been calling her this for fourteen years now…you’d think he’d learn!
Am still having problems with your blog updating on my blog list!

  13. It’s good Stacia is such a good matchmaker.
I had hamsters and parakeets as a child, because my parents thought our flat wasn’t big enough for a cat, but now things are different.
My hearing isn’t so good, so I prefer to write as well, and it works well for me.
    Have a wonderful week!

    1. Thank you ? I never had a cat as a child either, but I am making up for it. Have a nice weekend. XO

  14. guyz…bravo ta yur momz answer in number 4…ya can buyz love….
her iz veree wize & thiz bee veree troo ~~~~ 🙂 ♥♥☺☺

  15. Wonderful answers! #1 – that is so sweet. And I’m a ‘writing’ person, too. I don’t like talking on the phone unless I have to.

  16. Way to go, Stacia! I’ve always loved rabbits, but I don’t know if I’ll ever be comfortable bringing one home. I know they have very particular diets, and my cats (mainly my predator known as Eddy) would probably terrorize the poor thing. And I agree 1000% with your #3 and #4! Purrs and happy Friday to all of you!

    1. My cats and rabbits got along well, but I had a lot less cats back then. Have a nice weekend! XO

  17. I agree with the writing as communication. I also need to put thought into my words. I recently had a job interview and when put on the spot with questions, I felt like many of my answers weren’t that great. On my drive home, I thought of all the intelligent things to say. LOL
