Friendly Fill-Ins Week 142

Hi everyone! Time for the Friendly Fill-Ins. Please leave your link (at bottom of post) here or at my co-host’s Four-Legged Furballs. You can also answer in the comment section. Thank you to all who participate.

1. Superbowl Sunday ________________________.

2. __________________bores me.

3. If you have _________, you have everything.

4. My skill set could get me a job at _________.
My answers:
1. Superbowl Sunday means nothing to me. I am glad my hubby is not a football fan.
2. Every single sport bores me.
3. If you have someone to love that loves you back, you have everything.( Can be human or pet).
4. My skill set could get me a job panning for gold. I always joke with my hubby that scooping the litter box is like panning for gold and I get lots of practice doing that.
We are also joining Create With Joy’s Friendship Friday and Feline Friday currently hosted by Comedy Plus.
Emmy is giving me ” the look “, she is hungry.

  1. That is a cute photo of Emmy. How’d she get way up there?

I agree with you about football. I don’t like to watch the games for a variety of reasons, but I love watching the scoreboards online. Even though David and I attended the rival school, University of South Carolina, we were rootin’ for the Clemson Tigers for the National Championship, which they won. YAY Tigers!

Your answer to #3 was just perfect. 🙂

#4 made me giggle. I feel the same way! I get way more practice that I want to get with these three poop machines!

    Have a blessed weekend!

    1. I find football way too violent. Glad #4 made you giggle 🙂 I hope you have a blessed weekend too. XO

  2. I definitely agree with your number three. We all need someone to love who loves us right back.

Your number four is very funny. Suzanne and our daughter tend to our litter boxes. I can’t get down there to them, lucky me!

    Have a blessed week

  3. I was playing soccer several years ago and still love it, but I also appreciate even a single sport.
I like your fillins, especially #3.
    And Emmy, she’s cuuute.

  4. Not much of a sports fan here, either. “Panning for gold” — that’s funny.

Emmy must believe it is dinner time, no matter what the clock says.

    Have a great Friday!

  5. Great answers! I feel the same about the Super Bowl, so does my husband. We do like baseball but that’s the only sport we watch. Have a great weekend!

  6. I loved the questions this week. The first two made me laugh and the last one made me thing. I used to pan for gold too.

    You had better feed Emmy.

Thank you for co-hosting Friendly Fill-ins.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. My best to your wonderful mom. ♥

  7. I recognize that look. ~grin~ And I’m with you on sports. That wasn’t always so. Back in the nineties, when the Cleveland Indians nearer my old hometown were good, I did get into baseball. Hard. My employers were originally from there, and had season tickets during an era when games sold out every single week. Many were the treasured days when they would approach and ask if I wanted to go. My coworkers would help me get the day’s work done fast as possible so hubby and I could hit the road in time. Heh… I even had temporary tattoos, including one honoring Omar Vizquel, the Indians’ shortstop. Good times.

  8. How is the weather up there Emmy? You look precious.
No superbowl here for us either. My husband likes college football but QUIT watch NFL when the players starting taking a knee rather than standing for the National Anthem.
    Hugs Cecilia

  9. HAH on answer #4. TW says that’s what Pop looks like when he cleans my box. He sifts through every grain of litter. If TW had time, she’d watch a lot more sports cos she used to play sports before schools had women’s teams. She laments that cos she might have gotten an athletic scholarship.

  10. emmy….we wood like ta noe how ewe got up ther…..ya can send uz a text in ‘code”
sew yur mom ore dad doez knot noe !! 😉 ♥♥

  11. Emmy, our kitties don’t give a look…they meow and dance and run all over the place! It’s pandemonium! The Hubby is a football fan, but I’m only watch when I look up from the book that I’m reading…

  12. Emmy is one classy (and pretty) lady. Buddy follows us around meowing and tapping on our knees when he is hungry.

  13. Haha, I completely understand about #4! We’re not into sports over here either. Although I do enjoy going to live games every once in a while. We live very close to a professional baseball team and usually go once a year.

    1. If we lived closer to Boston, my hubby would want to go to see the Red Sox. We haven’t gone since 1995.

  14. Don’t have much time, but I wanted to stop & say hello and have a great weekend! Your kitty surely is a hoot & I bet she makes you smile all the time doesn’t she? Thanks for sharing your photo. It surely put a smile on my face! Hugs

  15. Much of my family are big football fans, but I just never got it. I could combine #1 and #2 with nothing in the blanks and that works for me! My hubby will watch sometimes, but he could take it or leave it, yes, thank goodness!

  16. Ellen,

I liked reading your fill-ins especially your last one. That cracked me up. Now, that’s imaginative, girl! I didn’t participate today but had I done so then my answers would be as follows.

    1. Superbowl Sunday _it’s time to get my game face on!_
    2. _Watching a golf tournament_ bores me.
    3. If you have _the love of someone special_, you have everything.
    4. My skill set could get me a job at _percurement of just about anything you want, even if it’s something I know very little about. If I have just enough details then it becomes a research game and a mission to find what I think might be what we’re looking for_.

Have a good weekend and keep warm!

  17. Emmy is making sure that you can’t hide when it’s dinner time. We will watch the SuperBowl but it’s tainted for us after the “No-call” Saints debacle. If you ever visit Arkansas, you can dig for diamonds. It is a lot of fun and people find really big diamonds.

  18. Oh dear, Ellen, we just learned about your dear Tallulah and we’re so sorry. We’ve moved and have been real busy and stressed out, but we’re getting settled finally. Our hearts go out to you as we can surely feel your loss as so many can.

  19. 1) Super Bowl means more fun this year than previous years
(I have someone special to share it with)
    2) Blowout games bore me
    3) If you have love you have everything
(includes cats and new someone special)
    4) My skill set could get me a job anywhere that makes sweets. I want
to be the taste tester! It could be candy, cake, pie, pancakes..
    I’m very versatile!

I see your Friday posts on Saturday but I’ve been waiting … so I want to make sure I answered today! I’m so happy you are here! Thank you!

    1. Thank you for these great answers. I am so happy you have someone special 🙂 #3 is perfect and #4 sounds like a nice job that I could do too. Have a nice weekend. XO

  20. Insightful Answers!
We thought we would ask Mom to answer here:
    1. Superbowl Sunday was a great day for tips when I worked in the hotel industry. Since then I generally avoid it.
    2. People who can only talk about themselves bores me.
    3. If you have LOVE, you have everything.
    4. My skill set could get me a job doing almost anything. I am a jack of all trades and master of none.
But digging for gold is a terrific answer!
