Friendly Fill-Ins Week 14

Hi everyone! Time for the weekly fill-ins and it is blooper week too. Mom is letting me answer the fill-ins and choose a blooper. I don’t get to see my Grammie today, she is with “the great one”. I love her so very much though.

The fill-ins:

1. My nickname is _________________________.
2. The first thing I ever won was _________________________.
3. I have never been to __                  _ .

4. Next year ___________ .

Our answers ( mine are in parentheses)

  1. My nickname is ELLIE, BUT ONLY A FEW PEOPLE FROM HIGH SCHOOL CALL ME THAT. ONE OF MY FRIENDS STARTED CALLING ME THAT BECA– USE I WAS LIKE ELLIE MAY CLAMPETT ON THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES WITH ALL MY CRITTERS.  ( Phoebe and Fibber because I always fib to get more treats ).
  2. The first thing I ever won was A HORSE WITH WHEELS FROM THE CHURCH PENNY SALE WHEN I WAS 4 or 5. ( I never won anything until we started blogging, but now I have won many things, I just can’t remember what was first, food or treats or a toy).
  3. I have never been to ANOTHER COUNTRY ( my Grammie’s house, her kitty doesn’t like other kitties) .
  4. Next year I HOPE TO STILL HAVE ALL THE SAME KITTIES I HAVE NOW, WE HAD ENOUGH LOSS IN THE PAST YEAR ( I want to be an internet sensation).

Please keep our co-host, Annie of McGuffy’s Reader in your prayers as she is still not feeling well. She will try to visit everyone that participates in the fill-ins, but it may take her a while. And remember to link up on her blog because our code never works. I am not going to even bother with it this week.

And now for the Lazy Pit Bull’s Pet Blogger Blooper Round-Up, I chose a Brody blooper (tee-hee)

  1. Phoebe, you look stunning! I love that photo. And, poor Brody. Not his best side.

I havenever been to another country, either. But, it is okay. We have so much here!

I hope your cats stay with you for many years. You are a blessing, as are they.

Thanks for the prayers and thinking of me. I am working on things. It is a bit rough, but I am thankful for friends like you. Hugs!

    1. Thank you for your kind words. And I am praying for you to feel better every day. I have never had the urge to leave the country. XO

  2. Love your fill-in answers…both yours AND your Mom’s! We are sending purrs, prayers and hugs to Miss Annie and hope things are better for her soon. Brody’s blooper is a goodie…..tee hee….

    Love, Sammy

    1. Thank you Sammy, you are so sweet. Don’t tell Brody about the blooper 🙂 We are praying for Annie. XO and love to you and your Mom too.

  3. We have a couple of fibber cats, too. if you were to believe them, they’ve never been fed in their entire lives!

  4. Hello, gorgeous Phoebe! I always love you and your mom’s fill-ins. I have never been to another country either. You indeed have been through a lot this year, so I am purring and praying that your #4 comes true. Brody, great blooper! It looks similar to my Eddy’s blooper today. Purrs!

    1. Thank you, I do hope #4 comes true too. I saw a lot of kitty butts on the bloopers today 🙂

  5. What a great blooper shot! I feel like you’ve accurately captured the ordinary cat photographer. Phoebe is beautiful though, as usual.

  6. Phoebe, you look exceptionally pleased with yourself today. I imagine it might have something to do with the big container of Party Mix you got from Grammie yesterday and your funny blooper of Brody 🙂 Excellent job!

  7. The reason we each did one fill-in is that our Mom thought she never had a nickname, but she has just remembered after reading your answer that some kids in H.S. called her Allison after Mia Farrow’s character on Peyton Place. She had long blond hair about down to her waist. She couldn’t remember the first thing she ever won. She is so sad that you have never been to another country, and she hopes that is on your bucket list. Anyhoo, we were happy to pawticipate. Good blooper photo as well. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

    1. No need to be sad, I have never wanted to travel. The only thing on my bucket list is to meet Nic Cage. 🙂 XO

    1. Great answers Boomer! I am praying you will turn 19 next year and feel wonderful. Have a great weekend! XO

  9. Loved you answers! Mom went to Jamaica when she was 10 but she doesn’t remember it. My granmama has been all over Europe – and Russia! Mom is so jealous!! Happy weekend!!

    1. Thank you 🙂 I would rather stay home with my kitties than do any travel. Have a great weekend!

  10. Ellie is cute, especially because you do love your furkids so much! Phoebe is a true beauty. You have a better memory than me, I was trying to think if I won anything when I was younger, who knows! 😉 I lived in Germany for 2 1/2 years when I was a lot younger, it was beautiful, but there are so many amazing and beautiful places to see in this country that I haven’t visited yet. I hope to some day! I hope your kitties and you will stay well and healthy in the next year too, that is always a worry for all of us, isn’t it? I hope Brody finds just the right way to reward you for that photo share, I’m thinking a hairball in a surprising place! 🙂

    1. I haven’t even seen most of this country, but that is fin with me. I am sure living in another country was exciting though. Brody is so happy to have a home, I think he will forgive me 🙂

  11. Oh no! Brody’s tocks!
    1. My nickname is “Trucker”, named for my old bicycle…lol!
    2. The first thing I ever won was a Young Author’s Award in elementary school. I also was gifted a super huge Slo-Poke!
    3. I have never been to the salt mines under Detroit. They used to have public tours, but the tours were discontinued years ago. I want to go!
    4. Next year, I am planning a trip to England. I hear that Brits love kitties…yay!

    1. That is a fun nickname. I have never heard of the salt mines under Detroit, that is interesting. How cool you won an author;s award when you were a kid. And that is great that you have a trip planned already.

  12. I’m sorry to hear that Annie isn’t feeling well. She’s in my prayers and I hope she is better very soon.

Ellen, I hope the same for you in regards to having all of your kitties next year, too. It is so hard to say good-bye to any of them.

To the kitties: You already ARE an internet sensation as far as I’m concerned. 🙂

    Have a blessed weekend!

    1. Phoebe thanks you for thinking her an internet sensation, but she wants to be as famous as Grumpy cat. Thank you for praying for Annie. XO

  13. Loved your fill-ins. Your grammie must be so special Phoebe, wish we could meet her.

    Shoko and Kali

PS We are slow but our fill-ins are a comin’.

  14. Funny, Ellie Mae is what I sometimes call our oldest daughter because of all her fondness for animals. She is tending to her poor sick Battly right now. Battly got overheated.

  15. We enjoyed your fill ins! We’re glad your Grammie visits often since you can’t go to her house. Great Brody blooper! Happy weekend!

  16. Purrs and POTP for McGuffy’s Reader. Hope she feels a lot better, soon.

We giggled at Brody’s Blooper, but maybe it could be a start to a disappearing kitty-pawlympics, MOL!

We asked the petcretary to fill in her answers for you:

    1. My nickname is Penguin, given to her by a two year old because he could not pronounce her real name, some of her residents at work call her England or Eedris, but no idea why MOL.
    2. The first thing I ever won was a badge and a picture in the paper because I won a summer drawing contest to make a safety poster, (wear white at night).
    3. I have never been to Curacao, even though my parents lived there for a while and my sister was born there. It intrigues me a lot, but I would rather visit places in Europe or North America first:)

    4. Next year I still hope to be working at my job, though with each passing year the work gets harder and harder to do, (nurse’s aide), but I really like helping those peeps in the nursing home. (I also hope that my furs will still be with us, they are all seniors and of course Minko & Dog-Guy have their issues…)

    1. Thank you for your answers. Those are interesting nicknames. That is cool that you won a drawing contest. I pray all your furbabies are still with you next year. Your jon sounds very hard, especially the emotional toll of losing the patients.

  17. Ellen, Well, I hope you can make better biscuits than Ellie May Clampett. lol That’s what I think of every time I hear a mention to Ellie May. At least your nickname makes sense. I have never been to another country, either. I don’t think I want to go anywhere outside the country bad enough to attempt it. Although, I sorta would like to see Canada one day. That would be about it for my world travels. Thanks for hosting the Friday fun!

    1. I agree, Canada wouldn’t be bad. You didn’t even need a passport before to go there. I am glad you like the Friday fill-ins 🙂
