Friendly Fill-Ins Week 112

Hi everyone! Time for The Friendly Fill-Ins. Please leave your link (at bottom of post) here or at my co-host’s Four-Legged Furballs. You can also answer in the comment section.

1. When it is hot, I _____________________.

2. I am looking forward to _______________________ this month.
3. The theme song of my life would be _________.
4. There is no such thing as _________.
My answers:
1. When it is hot, I am miserable. I stay in the air-conditioned house.
2. I am looking forward to 2 big book sales this month.
3. The theme song of my life would be the Theme for Green Acres. I realize I don’t look like Eva Gabor, but I would prefer to be in Times Square than have fresh air 🙂 Well, not always, but I do love to visit NYC and haven’t been in 3 years.
4. There is no such thing as too much silvervine. ( Joanie answered this one)
Perhaps there is such a thing as too much silvervine 🙂

  1. When it’s hot, I jump in the pool.
I’m looking forward to more family cookouts this month.
The theme song of my life would be Dream On.
There is no such thing as free stuff…there’s always a catch.

    1. Thank you for these great fill-in answers. Dream on is a good song. And very true about #4.

  2. Ellen,
I think we are just the opposite of each other. I have no desire to go to NYC or any big city. I would be happy out in the boonies, just Suzanne, I, the kids, and their critters. Have a blessed week.

    1. I wouldn’t actually want to live in NYC, but I want to visit it more often than every few years. I hope you have a blessed week too.

  3. Someday i’m going to have to find some silvervine and see if my cats like it as much as they do the catnip. Happy Friday!

  4. My Mom and Dad haven’t been to NYC in a long time but would like to take the train up there again one day. My Mom prefers to be inside in the hot but for some reason I like being outside (as long as I’m in the shade!). Happy Friday!

    Hugs, Teddy

    1. You are a fun boy Teddy. I hope your folks get to go to NYC, maybe we can meet them there 🙂

  5. Mom’s never been to NY. She’s really not a big city person. And we all love our AC here! Joanie, we could not agree more with you.

  6. I’m with you on the heat! We’re going through a heat wave and I cannot wait till it’s over. It is so tiring!

  7. I loved NYC the one time I went there and I do plan on visiting again, but at heart I am definitely a “fresh air” gal and always dreamed of having a small farm. Book sales are always fun! 🙂

    1. It is a nice place to visit. I actually wouldn’t want to live there, my cats are safer here. 🙂

  8. We can do without a visit to NYC. Too busy for us. That silvervine is great stuff. Makes us nuts. You all have a super day.

  9. Joanie! There might be such a thing as too much silvervine… 🙂 So with you on #1!
    Here are my Fill-ins…
    1. When it is hot, I finally get some housework done. Inside is where I want to be.
    2. I am looking forward to getting past CH’s eye surgery this month.
    3. The theme song of my life would be You Gotta Be by Des’ree… https://youtu.be/pO40TcKa_5U
    4. There is no such thing as life without friends!

    1. Thank you for your answers, I enjoyed them. I like that song, but never knew the artist or name of the song, thanks for sharing it. I will add CH to my prayer list. XO

  10. Here are my Fill-ins:
When it’s hot, I grab my bikini
I’m looking forward to going to the beach this month (as you may have guessed, I love the sun and the beach)
The theme song of my life would be Summer of 69 big Bryan Adams fan
There is no such thing as a perfect life.

    1. You are so lucky you can wear a bikini, I haven’t been able to do that in over 30 years.
That could be my song too, I was born in The Summer of 69. 🙂

  11. Hahaha… That last one. ~wipes tears away~ That’s interesting about NYC. I tend to be opposite in that respect. Be well! I’m glad you liked the silly pun I shared.

  12. Fantastic fill-ins, as always! I can never get comfortable in the summer heat. I really do enjoy being outdoors, and even doing activities like mowing, but not on these hot summer days like we’ve been having. I’m already looking forward to autumn. And I have never been to NYC. I won’t lie, I think I’d feel too overwhelmed by such a busy city. Now the Green Acres theme song is playing in my head! Oh, Joanie, the kitties around here say they 100% agree that there is no such thing as too much silvervine. Toby has never been all that into catnip, but he is a huge silvervine fiend. Happy Friday to you all!

    1. Thank you. I don’t like crowds or even going to the local grocery store, but in NYC I am invisible and I love it. 🙂

  13. I love going outside but not when it’s over 100°. I don’t like the big cities at all. I’d rather be in the country than the big cities.

    I love all your kitties.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. My best to your peeps. ♥

  14. I have lived in central London all my life can’t really imagine living out a bit although at the moment we are having unusually hot weather and it’s a nightmare lol.

    Joanie is right haha!

    Have a tanfastical weekend 🙂

  15. I’ve been dreaming of NYC too; it’s been at least a decade, probably two decades since I was there! I want to visit Moma, The Met, The Gugg, and Ellis Island!

  16. joanie; noe such thing az two much silvervine noe such thing az two much grazz 🙂 ♥♥

    1. I forgot to say. Even though I didn’t do a puzzle this week, if you click on one from an older post then click my name in the bottom left on Jigsaw Planet it will show you all of my puzzles. There are quite a few there.

  17. We are right there with you when it comes to heat. We would be lost without our cool air vents:)

Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber

  18. Everything in moderation, Joanie! 🙂
Our heat wave finally ended today, but I’m sure it will be back soon enough. We have an a/c on the way…I was starting to get crabby about the heat! 🙂

    1. we have central air, but also used a window unit because it couldn’t keep up either.

  19. Joanie, that Silvervine looks like it packs a whallop. I must instruct our purrsonal assistant to get some for The Tribe of Five!
    Purrs & Head Bonks,
    Tucker

  20. I don’t do well with the heat either, which is what we have most of the time here on the Texas Gulf Coast. I hope your heat wave ends soon.

I hope the book sales go well. Good luck!

Green Acres was a funny show. I’m more like Oliver…I prefer the country over the city. 🙂

What is silvervine? I’ve seen it mentioned quite a few times, but I don’t know what it is or what it is for.

    Have a blessed weekend!

    1. I would never be able to live where you do between the heat and more kinds of bugs and snakes.
Silvervine is a powder that comes from Japan, it looks like cinnamon and cats love it more than nip. I hope you have a blessed weekend too. XO

    1. My sweet little nephew, I can’t keep a secret- I sent you some and it will be arriving soon, but probably not in time for your birthday. XO

  21. I totally agree with Joannie. Back when TW actually gave it to me, she’d put a teensy tiny bit on a washcloth for me cos she said it was easy to OD on it. TW always liked the summer better than the winter but it’s been way too hot.

  22. LOL! Number four is so funny, especially seeing Joanie’s picture. The heat finally caught up with us here. Starting today through the weekend it’s in the low 90s and high 80s and then 80 is the high as far as the eye can see. I’m so grateful for air conditioning!

  23. Our Mama is not good in the heat either…she says she needs to eat lots of ice-cream to keep her cool!!

We have tried silvervine and our mama claims it smells too strong for her to keep it in the house! What a meanie!! You are lucky you get to o.d. on silvervine!! ;p

the critters in the cottage xo

    1. Are you sure she doesn’t mean valerian? That smells like stinky socks and I don’t allow that in the house. XO

  24. Joanie, you do look just a tad inebriated, but we totally agree with your completion. And Mom is with Mom Ellen on that #1. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer

  25. Joanie looks stoned! MOL!

When its hot I hide in the AC, unless I truly have to leave the house , I stay there! Hot and Petcretary are not mixers. Pipo? Who knows he is blessed to be inside! Dalton likes the shady areas in the heat…he is smart cause he knows where the shade is!
