1. It is __________________.

2.The best part of last week was ____________________.

3. Every summer, I _________.

My answers:
1. It is scary when a cat doesn’t want to eat. I took Emmy back to the vet for an antibiotic shot, I hope that helps or we will be back there again this weekend.
2. The best part of last week was taking a big step toward getting a children’s book published-more details soon.
3. Every summer, I enjoy fresh zucchini from our garden. I make stir fries, bread, muffins and casseroles with it.
4. Once Upon a time, is a tv show I have never seen, but plan to binge watch someday.
We are also joining Create With Joy’s Friendship Friday and Feline Friday currently hosted by Comedy Plus. And here are our Pet Photo Fails.
Poor Joanie endured many costume changes for this photo shoot with The Great One.

  1. 1. It is hard to see loved ones and residents I love and have gotten attached to get feeble and need special care, but it is my privilege to help care for them, too..

2.The best part of last week was when I and 5 other ladies took a road trip to a huge flea market (Shipshewana in Indiana).

    3. Every summer, I try to regrow the past years dahlias in big pots…with mixed success….

    4. Once upon a time, there was an unmarried girl in Ontario…looking to find a partner to love and cherish, and God got her in touch with someone she now has been married to for almost 31 years… In the USA…

    1. Thank you for these great answers. Anyone in your care is blessed to have you.
That flea market trip sounds like fun. Did you get anything? We grow ours in the garden, never tried to put them in pots. I am glad you had a happy ending to your once upon a time. XO

  2. Poor Emmy! Yes, when they do not eat, it is concerning, cats can go into fatty liver disease so easily from not eating. Their pickiness at the food bowl can be their downfall.

Fresh zucchini! It’s a wonderful treat, isn’t it?

Maybe i will have to link up with pet fails someday.

    1. She is eating now, I hope she continues to. I also hope you join the pet photo fails. 🙂

  3. We are hoping that Emmy decides it’s time to start eating again…..sending her a dose of POTP from us. Zucchini is an amazing veggie isn’t it? Makes all kinds of fabulous foodables….Mom particularly loves zucchini bread. We sure like your photo fails – just so you know – we kitties really enjoy being naughty when the flashy box comes out – we’ll wait until the last second and MOVE!! HAHAHA

    Love, Teddy

    1. She is eating again, thank you for the POTP. My kitties do move a lot when I try to get photos 🙂 XO and love to you and your Mom.

  4. 1. It is so wonderful that the warm weather has arrived
2.The best part of last week was scoring a great deal at the resale shop.
    3. Every summer, I start fretting over The’O’ Cats and how I can keep them warmer in the wonter!!!
    4. Once upon a time, I wanted to be a lawyer.
Dear Emmy, sending you more hugs and purrs.

    1. Thank you for your answers, I enjoyed them. I understand why you worry about winter for the O’Cats. I bet you would have been a great lawyer- it is never too late. Emmy is eating again. XO

  5. It is very scary when a cat stops eating. I hope Emmy is feeling better soon. We’re sending purrs and healing thoughts. I’ve never seen Once Upon a Time either, but I would like to watch it sometime. Love your photo fails! Thanks for joining in! 🙂

  6. We sure hope Emmy is feeling better soon. Sending lots of purrs and good thoughts. Love that dress Joanie. Have a good day.

  7. Breaks my heart that Emmy still isn’t feeling all that well. Sending prayers!
#2… How exciting! I love zucchini bread and zucchini sauteed in a pan with buttah! Joanie and The Great One… ♥
    1. It is steamy and warm this morning and I am not a fan of steamy and warm!
    2. The best part of last week was Taco Tuesday… 🙂
    3. Every summer, I look forward to the Butterfly Weed popping… it is such a beautiful shade of orange.
    4. Once upon a time, my summer afternoons were filled with floating in a lake on a raft with a line from the dock tied to my big toe with a glass of wine in my hand… I miss it!

    1. Thank you for your great fill-in answers. I like zucchini those ways too, I have a recipe for chocolate zucchini bread. Taco Tuesday sounds good. We have butterfly week too and it is beautiful. I bet you will have nice summers in Florida too. Have a nice weekend. XO

  8. I hope Emmy starts eating. That is truly alarming when a pet won’t eat. Sending her healing hugs xo

And #2 – very exciting! Looking forward to hearing more about that 🙂

  9. We are sending many, many purrs and prayers to Emmy! Food is good, Emmy, so eat up!

I simply cannot wait to learn more about your children’s book. I am so excited for you, and for all of us who get to read it! It sounds like you have such a prolific garden. I recently got a spiralizer for making zucchini noodles, and I have been enjoying finding new recipes for using those “zoodles”. I used to watch Once Upon a Time and really enjoyed the first season, but over time I just sort of stopped watching it.

You have the cutest bloopers, Joanie! Happy Friday to all of you!

    1. Emmy is eating again, I hope it continues 🙂 And thanks for the support on the children’s book. XO

  10. Poor Joanie. What a sport though. Too cute.

I’ve not watched Once Upon a Time either. I’m going to have to check that out.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and a great weekend. Scritches to all the kitties. ♥

  11. Whoa! Poor Joannie is a real sport. Sending healing purrz to Emmy. Once upon a time the peeps grew tomatoes, zucchini and more in their garden but now we don’t have one.

    1. Thank you. If your folks have a balcony, they could grow stuff in containers 🙂 XO

  12. Oooo, good fill-ins this week! We’re one hundred percent with you on cats not eating. Sending purr-ayers that Emmy starts eating on her own again!

  13. Purrayers and POTP for Emmy . Joanie is a good sport about the costimes .

  14. We hope Emmy is doing better now.

Once Upon a Time was really good when it first started, but after a few seasons it got really bizarre. Dad really liked it a lot, but Mom not so much:)

Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber

  15. #2 is awesome! We look forward to hearing more. Mom has seen the whole first season of Once… it was pretty good. Interesting concept. And Joanie, you are such a patient, lovely girl. But where is Gremmie?? We miss him. Maybe Gremmie and Trouble should get together. His new Gremmie-sitter.

  16. I hope Emmy feels better soon. WTG on your children’s book. I’m a bit late today but my son, d-i-l and grandchild arrived last night from out of state so I have been away from my computer. Have a wonderful weekend!

  17. YAYAY! I can’t wait to hear more details about your book, Ellen!

I’m sorry the kitties have been having health problems and hope they are all better soon.

I love zucchini. I’m glad you’re able to grow it and enjoy it fresh from the garden. 🙂

    Have a blessed weekend!

  18. when our babies won’t eat or just lay somewhere, it is terrifying. Thank heaven Emmy didn’t have to go to the Vet again!

  19. #2 sounds exciting!
It is scary when cats won’ eat, so we were glad to just read that Emmy is.
Every summer, I hope to go to Maine with “the girls”. Not sure if we’re going to make it this year or not though.

  20. Oh Joanie, when ya’ hear the squeelin’ tires this week you’ll know it’s us. Just hop out the window and jump in our car. We’ll hide ya’ from the great one. MOL Big hugs

Oh and ConCats awnty Ellen on the book.

    Dezi and Raena
