Fat Tuesday

Hi everyone! Today is Mardi Gras so several of my kitties have agreed to pose with beads. First though, Joanie wants to tell you about her new food. I know dry food is not recommended, but that is all Joanie can eat. She has yacked up every canned food I tried on her and she tends to eat the dry too fast and yack that up too. When my friend told me about PawTree and sent me a sample for Joanie I was thrilled.

*Disclosure: I was sent a sample of PawTree Real Chicken Recipe for cats. I was not asked to do a review, but I am choosing to. All opinions are my own.

As you can see in the photo, the pieces are small. She usually eats out of a bowl, but I thought it would be easier to see the food this way. It is made in the USA. No corn, wheat or soy. You can check out all the facts by clicking here. The link goes directly to my friend’s PawTree page so she can get a commission on sales. They have several other flavors too and canned food which I will be ordering for Joanie to test soon.  Joanie has been eating this for a few weeks and so far, no yacking- knock on wood , 3 times. My only complaint is shipping costs, but Joanie is worth it. Now on to the beads!

Drake
Joanie and Gremmie
Sammy
KaTwo
Emmy
Prancie
Brody
Trouble

Who wore them best? No one can top Angel Lucy from 2015. She earned her beads.

  1. I’m so glad Joanie is doing so well with this food. I chose it because it’s all real food and humans can eat this it’s that pure. Shipping is terrible however if you put 3 free ship items in your cart then all the big bag of food ships free. Having dogs I get the dental sticks and my vet is impressed with how clean their teeth are.

  2. Laissez rouler les bon temps! Or whatever. I think that food sounds pretty tasty. The Human likes me to eat wet fuds, but I do like my crunchies too. Joanie looks happy. I think the Human is going to have to check it out.

  3. I love Mardi Gras beads! I think everyone rocked them – maybe not as much as Lucy, did, but in their own way.

  4. Thanks for the info on that food. We will have to give it a try. You all look terrific in your beads. Good kitties to agree to wear them. You all have a great day.

  5. Teddy will only eat dry too…..but I switched him to Blue Buffalo Weight Management which is TINY little bits and he LOVES IT. I wish he would eat canned food but he gets plenty of water anyway. Your bunch looks FABULOUS in their beads – There’s a party all day at Cat Scouts so SammyP can stop by and show off his beads there too!

    Hugs, Pam

    1. Sammy finally got to Cat Scouts 🙂 I will have to look into that food too so she has a variety. XO

  6. Happy to hear Joanie is liking the new food. It’s so hard to know what’s best for their systems. I don’t think I can pick who wore the beads best! They all look gorgeous in those bling-y colors! have fun with Mardi Gras today. 🙂

  7. Hey, cats will decide what they will do, humans just have to keep up. We know you are doing your best for her.

Everyone is enjoying the beads but Brody is really bringing the catitude. Isn’t that what Mardi Gras is all about??

  8. It’s hard to pick who wore the beads best, but I like Trouble, Brody, and Prancie.

  9. At our house there are times when kibble is the only solution. I hope it helps Joanie.
You guys all rocked your beads, but Drake and Trouble showed off the best.

  10. Happy Mardi Gras to all!!! We hope the new food works well for Joanie – too bad Chewy doesn’t carry it so you could get free shipping.

Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber

  11. I am so glad you enjoy this food, Joanie! Sometimes, getting our kitties to eat food that they like and that agrees with them is a nearly impossible task. My girl Eddy will only eat dry food and rejects all moist food, whereas Tonks is the complete opposite. And you beaded kitties are the cutest Mardi Gras celebrants I’ve ever seen! I always enjoy when you share this photo of Lucy. She sure did earn those beads!

    1. Eddy would love this 🙂 Thank you 🙂 Yes, Angel Lucy knew how to get her beads- actually she was reaching for lunch meat.

  12. All of your kitties look fabulous in their Mardi Gras beads! I went to a Mardi Gras several years ago. It was fun but once is enough. 🙂

  13. How fun. You all do your beads well, but Angel Lucy did it right.

Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday, Ellen. Scritches to all the partying kitties. ♥

  14. We simply cannot decide who wore the beads the best as they are all great! So glad Joanie likes the new dry food and no yacking. Don’t know why they don’t make smaller pieces for our tiny kitty mouths.

  15. guyz…..round de land oh trout we graze on kibble all de time; sure it costz $ 23,945.00 a bag but it keepz R vet billz down sew thatz a pluz….N speekin oh awesum ewe guyz bee rockin yur mardi gras beadz 🙂 ♥♥♥

  16. Happy Mardi Gras!!! We are happy to see Joanie has new food that she can enjoy now. We love the celebration photos for Mardi Gras. Love the beads. Thanks for the share. Have fun today.

  17. That is great news about Joanie! I hope she continues to handle her food well. My preference is always food that is corn, wheat and soy free.

The photos are so much fun!

  18. Yay for no yacking and fingers crossed it stays that way!
Drake looks very elegant! Joanie and Gremmie sharing their beads♥ All the Meowing Cats look very festive in their beads. I did not get to meet Angel Lucy on your blog but I will take your word for it that she wore them best, she looks very expressive with them on! Ellen, you clicked some great pictures with the Meowing Crew and their Fat Tuesday beads!

  19. That’s a tough choice, but we’re going with Drake!
That’s great you’ve found a food that is working for Joanie. When it comes to Sam, if dry is all she will eat, then that’s what she would get. But we tried one more wet food and right now she’s eating it!
I didn’t know PawTree made cat food too, good to know!

    1. Drake thanks you 🙂 I am glad Sam is eating canned food, it is better for her.
