#CHEWYINFLUENCER

Hi everyone! We have a Chewy review for you today, but first I want to thank everyone for their responses yesterday to my question(s). I am thankful to be a part of such a caring group of people who value cats ( and all animals). When I told my therapist that most people I knew felt the way I do about cats, he doubted it , but now I have plenty of proof that you do. We all value our furbabies and feel quality of life is top priority before expenses. Now on to that review.

This month we tried Natural Balance Limited Ingredient Diets Venison and Green Pea Formula Canned Cat Food. It is on sale for $18.96 for 24 cans ( 3 oz.), it comes in larger cans too. To order click here and remember shipping is always free on orders over $49*

There are quite a few ingredients for limited: Venison, Venison Broth, Venison Liver, Ground Peas, Natural Flavor, Venison Meal, Salmon Oil, Canola Oil, Vitamins (Choline Chloride, Vitamin E Supplement, Thiamine Mononitrate, Niacin Supplement, Vitamin A Supplement, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, D-Calcium Pantothenate, Riboflavin Supplement, Folic Acid, Biotin, Vitamin B12 Supplement), Dicalcium Phosphate, Guar Gum, Salt, Minerals (Zinc Proteinate, Zinc Sulfate, Ferrous Sulfate, Iron Proteinate, Copper Sulfate, Copper Proteinate, Manganese Sulfate, Manganese Proteinate, Calcium Iodate, Sodium Selenite), Taurine, Flaxseed Meal, Kelp Meal, Cranberries, Dl- Methionine, Potassium Chloride, Calcium Carbonate, Carrageenan, Yucca Schidigera Extract.

Prancie has food allergies so I especially  wanted this for her:

dscf2626-2She liked it

dscf2625 dscf2627-2 dscf2629So did Phoebe, Snowball, Tallulah and Polar Bear ( check out his thumbs).

It was a hit with 10 out of 13. The other 3 were excluded because Sammy has a special diet, Joanie spews when she eats canned food and KaTwo will only eat dry food.

*We received this food for free from Chewy in exchange for a fair review. All opinions are our own.

And the question for P.S. Annie’s 19-Somethin Challenge is:What do you remember most about the year you turned 19? I met my hubby that year 🙂

  1. Looks like you have a winner there!

But *we* are leery of food with carrageenan in it…and Minko may not have it at all…appwarently it can cause leaky gut syndrome, and he has enough issues with his bowels. Its hard to find food in cans that doesn’t have that in it, but petcretary reads labels like a crazy lady. She even avoids that fur to peeps here.

  2. I am so glad you all liked it! This gives me hope. Although I am behind on our reviews this month, my kitties will be trying out the chicken formula of this food. My kitties are incredibly picky eaters, but hopefully they’ll like it as much as all you kitties did! Purrs, and thank you for sharing this with us!

  3. Your kitties are all so pretty and look so soft. I’m glad they enjoyed the food they got to try out.

It looks like our 19th year was a pretty good one for the both of us. 🙂 Thanks for participating in our 19-Somethin’ challenge.

    Have a blessed day!

  4. Hey, that’s the food that Angel and Chucky eat! They’ve been eating it for a few years now, and I am very happy with it. Even the holistic vet gives it the thumbs up! We just got a shipment of four cases of 5.5 oz from Chewy.com too.

  5. It’s tough to beat 10-for-10! My dad used to look at labels and even smell good cat food and say, “that smells kind of good.” I thought it was odd, but reading this, I think I’d agree with him!

  6. Great review. Although we are on venison food, for some reason, Dragonheart doesn’t tolerate that Natural Balance venison wet food at all. There must be something in it that upsets his stomach, because every time our mom has tried to feed it to us, he immediately throws it back up. Fortunately there are other venison foods that stay down!

    1. I am guessing it is the carageenan in it that upsets his tummy, I have read it does that to a lot of cats.

  7. guys…we iz knot sure bout de hole peaz thing…..N knot sure we wood eat a deer either….even tho they iz vizshuz……..

    ☺☺☺♥♥♥

  8. It is nice when you find a food your kitties like 🙂

if you bring the ‘proof’ to your therapist, I hope he realizes how close minded he was on this subject. Just because a majority of the people he knows feels as he does, does not mean everyone does.

What I remember about 19? it was the year I was married.

    1. Sadly, he didn’t seem to realize how close minded he was on this and he offended me further by saying those without children ( like me) tend to think this way. I told him several of the commenters have children and still disagree with the “just a cat” idea.

  9. Oh how adorable are those cute little toesies on Polar Bear. We luv it. Mommy opted not to let us try this cuz of all those ingredients. Like you we thought there sure was a lot fur a limited ingredient food. And also da carageenan. Mommy tries to avoid dat ifin she can. Anyways, somethin’ dat lots of kitties like is always a good thing. Glad so many ate it up good. Have a pawsum day.

    Luv ya’

    Dezi and Raena

  10. We fed the Natural Balance diets when Tucker was alive, and he liked them, especially the salmon one. Polar Bear has some paw some thumbs and we’d love to see more of them!

    1. Yes, Polar Bear needs more time, Phoebe is a bit of a blog hog , but don’t tell her I said that 🙂

  11. You guys make that food look really yummy! Natural Balance makes some great cat foods. They have a chicken recipe that Manna likes. What do I remember about being 19? That was the year I participated in a clinical study for bipolar disorder and got to learn a lot of really helpful things about myself.

  12. 10/10 out of everycat included … not bad at all.
ps – if your therapist doesn’t understand your love of animals, it’s okay to go elsewhere. ESPECIALLY if that’s the main reason you go to begin with. He works for YOU and if he’s not WORKING for you, time to find someone else. I know. I’ve been there.

    1. ps – Bear loves his crocheted chicken leg … we have “problems” when he can’t find it … and since he carries it around, well it could be ANYWHERE. Thankfully it hasn’t been really and truly lost yet 🙂

      1. Aww…that is so sweet that he carries it around. I am glad you have been able to find it. 🙂 Maybe Santa will send him more for Christmas.

    2. That is a very good point, it is hard to deal with someone so different that has never had a pet before and just doesn’t get it.

  13. Our kitty Cashew goes crazy for any canned food! We have to limit how often he has it or else he will stop eating the dry food. But I’m always looking for new and healthier brands.

    1. Canned food is better so you could just give that instead. I wish mine would just eat that, but I usually have to add some dry on top.

  14. Great review. I don’t eat pate so I don’t think I’d eat it. We reviewed the LID dry for Blogpaws once and TW bought me a few cans of the wet. Glad your kids liked it.
