Caturday Saturday

Hi everyone! We are joining Athena’s Caturday Art Blog Hop and Ten Things of Thankful.

This is Phoebe on a low branch in a crab apple tree, I used ribbet to add the daisy frame. I think it matches her dress nicely.

Here are my Thankfuls-

  1. Great health insurance that allowed me to see my primary care, allergist and podiatrist this week.
  2. Getting to see a butterfly emerge from a chrysalis ( I had never seen this before) .

3. Being able to buy bobbins for my sewing machine that are already threaded, I could never figure out how to thread them using my machine even with an instructional dvd and manual.

4.Having the luxury of staying home with my catsĀ  almost all the time.

5. Harvest of green beans and yellow ones too that I was able to freeze for winter.

6.A visit to St. Anne’s Shrine with my mom. I was able to restock my supply of St. Christopher medals, I like to give them to people that are going to be traveling. I recently gave my last one too my friend’s daughter who was headed to Jerusalem for 5 months to study dance.

7. Breakfast at our favorite diner with my hubby on Monday ( yummy blueberry pancakes).

8. spending time with my great-niece who cracks me up constantly.

9.No vet trips this week.

10. Phoebe eating well ( knock on wood, 3 times) and thanks to God too, this means more to me than anything else right now.

Phoebe will announce the winner of the coloring book tomorrow.

There is still time to enter, just comment on Thursday’s post.

  1. What exceptionally great things for which to be thankful. Phoebe, we have one complaint about your art. You are beautiful and your mom should have made your art bigger. Yeah for eating. Good girl! XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy

  2. You have wonderful things for which to be thankful! We all need to stop each day and think about this too. It does help to make one feel better and have a better attitude about you might be going through at a particular time.
We like your art , you got to climb a tree??! Wow!

Pipo has a harness now and is trying to get used to it. He snuck outside and was into the nip growing at the bottom of the steps…but when I harnessed him (which he already was familiar with), he freaked out when I took him outside with the leash…go figure!

    1. She didn’t actually climb it, her Dad set her up there and guarded her because she is pretty frail.
I hope Pipo gets used to his harness, Phoebe took to it right away. XO

  3. Phoebe, you are such a pretty girl! We love this art of you. And, as always, I loved reading the list of thankfuls. I think it is so wonderful that you give St. Christopher medals to those traveling. I have one hanging from my car’s rearview mirror. And, I am so happy that Phoebe is eating well! Purrs and prayers!

  4. Yay Phoebe! Keep on eating dear girl and keep your Mom (and us) happy! Love that photo of the emerging butterfly….way cool. My Mom and Dad bought a pile of St. Christopher’s medals when they first visited Notre Dame in Paris. You are kind to give them to your friends….. Love the photo of you Phoebe in your pink harness – pink is definitely your color!

    Hugs, Teddy

    1. Thank you. That is nice that you got your medals at Notre Dame. Phoebe thanks you too. XO

  5. So glad Phoebe is eating. That is such a good thing to be thankful for and so are the other ones. Love your picture Phoebe. You all have a super day.

  6. Great-nieces are truly a gift and being thankful for them is a wonderful thing!
I can really see Phoebe’s darling dress in the photo today! She must really be loving her outside time.

  7. I love your dress and how it fits on you, Phoebe. The daisies border looks purrfect with it šŸ™‚ That was some lucky shot to see the butterfly pop up. We have a lot of butterflies, but never have seen this either. Pawkisses for an Arty Caturday šŸ™‚ <3

    1. Thank you, my dress is just the right size. My folks were lucky to see the butterfly. XO

    1. I am so sorry you fainted my love. I forget how beautiful I am sometime- mom should have posted a warning. XO and all my love

  9. That is a beautiful happy photo of Phoebe with the sunflower frame. I am stunned by the photo if the Monarch butterfly emerging from the chrysalis. That was a very lucky capture.

  10. So much to be thankful for! I’ve never seen a butterfly emerge either … what a gift. I love the quote (and there’s a couple versions) that says, “What the caterpillar sees as the end, is only the beginning for the butterfly.”

    1. We were lucky to have noticed the chrysalis darkened and was ready to emerge. That is a nice quote.

  11. Phoebe is a fashion cat! The pink flowers pick up her outfit quite nicely. Did she jump up or did you put her on the branch? It’s less worrisome being a low branch, less fear of not getting down that way.

  12. Wow I’ve never seen a butterfly emerge either! And, I need to make sure I take my St. Christopher medal when I go traveling next month!

  13. Away on vacation the last two weeks, I cannot comment on all your wonderful posts but I wish you all the best and enjoyed every one leading up to this. Gorgeous kitties!

  14. 9 and 10 are definitely things to be thankful for. Wish we lived in MA and could have Romneycare. At least you’ll still have great health care after the ACA is gone.

    1. Yes, we are lucky to have affordable healthcare in Massachusetts. I wish it were that way everywhere.

  15. “no vet trips” always a very good thing.

#1. Just the lack of stress (at a time when there cannot not be stress) to know the access to care is available.

#3 I’ve found youtube to be an understand resource. Not just because they are video but because (even when there is a dvd with a product) people put up their own solution to a problem. In my experience it is much more helpful than anything the manufacture puts out.

  16. Fresh beans from the garden are a real treat, and being able to freeze them for the winter just stretches the season. I love yellow wax beans.

  17. Phoebe looks adorable in her little ruffled walking vest, and you definitely chose the right photo frame to match it! I am thankful right along with you that she is eating well and no vet visits of any kind were needed this week! Yay!!

That is an amazing photo of a butterfly emerging, I’ve only seen it once and it was so fascinating to see it unfold and spread out those wonderful wings! It reminds me that our true selves emerge more beautiful as we grow and age too!

You are right that pre-filled bobbins make things so much easier! Green beans are one of my very favorite kinds of garden produce. My mother would always make them in a white cream sauce that was just delicious and I could have eaten the entire serving bowl of them! Once when I lived in a town house with no real garden space I grew green beans along side the rose bushes that bordered the property… people chuckled, but they did great! šŸ™‚

I’m glad you got to enjoy breakfast out with your hubby, those kind of “dates” are priceless and fun! I can imagine how much you enjoy your great- niece, she is a real blessing in your life, along with your Mom and your precious furkids!

Thank you for joining us at TToT this week, I loved your list! XO
