Caturday Saturday

Hi everyone! We are joining Athena’s Caturday Art Blog Hop.

I used Lunapic’s Landscape effect for my art. The puzzle is below.

And we are up to the letter S in The A-Z Blogging Challenge.

S is for shoes. I recently parted with a few pairs. One was too big and the other two were old and ungluing. I have about 20 pairs including boots , sneakers, dress shoes, etc.  No Manolo’s in my closet. How many pairs do you have?

  1. Oh, wow, I have SO many shoes…not quite like Imelda Marco…LOL!

But seriously, I have too many, some are dress shoes, some are sandals…and I have a lot that I was given from my aunt and Mother in law, and even my sister! They fit me well…and I find it a terrible chore to go and get new shoes…( I have feet that are hard to fit…works best with European sizing…I am mostly a 39…), so I just wear what I have (match to season and outfit), I wear them till they are no longer fit to even give away, LOL!

That artwork turned out really nice!

    1. It is hard to shop for shoes. Every time I like some and need new ones , I can’t find the same. XO

  2. Lovely art. I always like the Landscape effect. I took about 20 pairs of shoes to the charity shop last year. My feet have spread over the years and although I could still get them on, they weren’t comfortable. I had a good clear out and several pairs were as good as new. I think at least 2 pairs had never been worn. I still have 20+ pairs though.

    1. Thank you. 🙂 That was nice of you to donate the ones you didn’t want. XO

  3. Love the art – like Jackie says, Landscape is one of my favorite effects too! I have around 20 pairs of shoes too….most of them were bought for COMFORT and not style. I’m at the COMFORT age!!

    Hugs, Pam

  4. Oh yes, shoes. Nice thing about being retired is I mostly have sneakers, and one pair of good shoes for when I have to get dressed up. Boy during the work years I had a pile of them. I do not miss them or the work. Happy Saturday

  5. Extra pretty art today, it’s so colorful! As for shoes, we’re Boring (see the capital B). All kinds of sneakers and more sneakers, like fancy/dressy sneakers and sandal-like sneakers and ballet-like-sneakers and boot-like sneakers. You could say we luv sneakers!

  6. I am going to have to get busy and help Katie out! I haven’t been with her looking for pretty art effects in a long time.

  7. I have 15 or so pairs of shoes. Most are sneakers and casual shoes. I have one pair of dress shoes. I like the art effect.

  8. I have about 10 pairs of shoes, if you count the “shelter sneakers” (for use at the animal shelter) I have in the trunk of my car. 🙂

    1. Thank you. 🙂 I should narrow down to that too as I rarely use most of them. XO

  10. Your subjects were awesome for your art and I really like that effect. It was so hard to give up my Missouri shoes and boots! I have 17 pairs of shoes… to include mostly flip flops and sandals, a pair of Minnetonka moccasins, a pair of tennis shoes and a pair of lined Crocs used as slippers when it’s chilly here, maybe 5 days out of the year.. Ha.

    1. Thank you. 🙂 I can’t imagine moving to a warmer area like you did. I like being cold. 🙂 XO

    1. Thank you. 🙂 I usually wear the same ones every day until they wear out. And the rest only once a year or so.

  11. That’s a great artwork, kitties. We did the puzzle yesterday during a spare moment and saw it there first😸 Granny has left about 10 pair of shoes and boots, a lot were donated last year and earlier to the Cat foundation. Now she only can wear two pairs and her slippers, because the others hurt to much, so when she finds the courage to say goodbye to them, they will go to the Cat foundation too, so at least they make someone else happy😺Double Pawkisses for you all🐾😽💞

  12. The art is furry beautiful.
Mummy has lots of shoes – boots and sandals and sneakers and a couple of dressy pairs. She recently bought a couple more pairs of fancy boots. The best thing about that is, that there are always shoe BOXES available for Us kitties to play with/in!

  13. I donated most of my high heels and evening shoes a couple of years ago to the Princes Project to help girls feel like princesses for their Matric Farewell. I’ve just gone through my shoe closet this week and donated boots and other shoes I haven’t worn in some time to a children’s home. And I regularly get rid of shoes that no longer fit right. I’m down to ten pairs of shoes, including my hiking shoes — and that actually makes me quite happy 🙂

  14. I love the art, too. 😀 My feet seem to have gotten bigger while my hair gets thinner. ~sigh~ I have various shoes for/from different occasion while wearing none with high heels now. Heh… Best wishes!

      1. My six and a half is more like seven, so recent sneaker purchases didn’t work out so well. lol And by the way, friends made fun of my small feet when I borrowed one daughter’s boots she outgrew at age twelve. I didn’t realize the track and field races we were attending was literally on a muddy field. It’s a fun memory.

  15. No Manolo’s here neither. TW just bought some comfy North Face snow slippers and Hush Puppy sneakers. She didn’t know Hush Puppy still existed. Her feet have spread and her old shoes/sneaks aren’t that comfortable anymore.
