Caturday Saturday

Hi everyone. Before we get started we want to remember a fellow blogger and sweet friend. I was very sad to read that Sarah Andrews ( Roby Sweet) passed away. She was an amazing writer, I loved her Miss Cuddlywump’s series and her blog posts as well. To read her obituary and sign the guest book, click here.

We are joining Athena’s Caturday Art Blog Hop and The Pet Parade.

I used Lunapic once again because it is so easy. I used the “Night” effect on Trouble. She may have been acting good in yesterday’s photo, but she scared the heck out of my husband and I yesterday. We couldn’t locate her for a few hours and searched everywhere. My hubby and I were getting mad at each other. He insisted she must be in one of the boxes of Halloween decorations and I knew that wasn’t possible, but I went through them all- twice. She was either in our bedroom or the spare room, I left both doors open and she finally came strolling into the living room like nothing had happened. Like she didn’t know we had been calling for her and shaking the treat container. We had checked every closet, under every piece of furniture, even outside. She definitely won that round of hide and seek.

  1. I was very sad to hear about Sarah. I knew she was ill but didn’t realise how ill she was. She will be greatly missed.
The art is a great effect for Trouble.
It is amazing how they can find a hiding place and we never discover it.
Flynn had one in the garden and in the beginning I thought he had escaped over the fence. Several times I would search high and low for him, but then he would come strolling in yawning. I never did find where he hid himself.

    1. Same here, I had no idea she was so sick. Glad you like my Trouble art. Cats are funny. XO

  2. Isn’t it funny how, when something like this happens cats can have that “What? What’s the problem here?” expression, as if nothings going on. Cleo does that now and then. We, too were saddened to read of Sarah’s passing. We enjoyed reading Cuddlywumps Cat Chronicles. Well, stay warm and have a great weekend.

  3. We are sorry you lost a friend….we did not know Roby but are always sad to learn of a passing of someone who is known and loved in the animal community. Her books will keep her alive in the hearts of those who knew her I’m sure. We think that was pretty mean of Miss Trouble to let you all worry so much about where the heck she was……being a panther kitty she has a lot of nice dark corners she can hide in – obviously she found a GOOD ONE!

    Hugs, Teddy

  4. My condolences to all who knew and loved Sarah Andrews.

When a cat pulls on its cloak of invisibility and does not want to be found, it will not be found. Period, end of story. Sweetie still frantically searches, i just wait for the cat to turn up (after i’ve made sure it did not get outside and that there is no blood or sign of a struggle with another cat that could mean it is hiding and injured). They always turn up, with the one exception of a kitten that got closed in a drawer and took us two hours to find (sweet little Molly was a shadow to anyone who was around, the fact that she wasn’t following anyone was a sign something was wrong).

Anyway, i am glad Trouble turned up, i’m sure that hiding spot was great for a long, undisturbed nap and will be used again.

  5. I am sorry to read about Sarah….Frum what I read she was an exceptional and talented young woman .
    Trouble your name suites you
    Hugs cecilia

  6. I am sorry about your friend, Ellen. I clicked to go to her blog and felt instantly I would have loved her and her words. It’s sad that the world has lost such a talented woman.
Cool picture of Trouble and I love the edit! She loves to mess with you, Ellen! She lives up to her name and she is so beautiful!

    1. Sarah was a special lady. If you get a chance to read her books, I highly recommend them.
Yes, Trouble does like to mess with me. Good thing she is cute 🙂 XO

  7. Oh my! That is the scariest thing, they just disappear and stress you out, then saunter in like nothing unusual had happened! Glad your beautiful self is safe and sound Trouble, you are beautiful in your art piece.

  8. It is always so sad when a person passes away before his/her prime. Miss Andrews appears to have been an amazing and very talented, caring individual. Our condolences to her family.

  9. RIP, Sarah Marie Andrews. Your talent will always exist.

Trouble, in trouble again. I knew I detected mischief in those gorgeous eyes in yesterday’s photo.

  10. Cats like to hide, and hiding is an imortant skill for them. They have reasons for not being found, and for teaching their kittens when and how to hide. It takes patience when you want to know where they are and why they insist on hiding from you. I suspect my cats simply like hiding and I try not to take it personally.

  11. One think we cats are great at doing is hiding so we can be found only if we want to be found 😉
That is a cool effect on Trouble(who lived up to her name ) MOL!
We are also happy that mum is back to 98% well with her back 🙂

  12. What a sad loss. 🙁 We get scares like that every now and then. And they do stroll in and look at you like, “What?” Can be maddening. Heh… Be well.

  13. I am extremely sad to hear about Sarah, it broke my heart. Hoping it is ok to use your photo? (I will credit you), I had wanted to post something tomorrow……..hoping you don’t mind if I use it. If you do, please let me know!

  14. We here are sorry for the lost of your friend. We hope her family is doing as well as they can during this time. Trouble that is one great artwork photo of you. We are glad that you are ok and that you are a master at hide and seek. Thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful day.

    1. That was kind of you to sign the guestbook. I hope her family will be comforted by all the messages.

  15. Truffle scares us all the time with her hiding places. Mom Paula will look in every closet and under furniture and can’t find her. Eventually Truffle comes strutting out as if nothing had happened.

  16. I’m just heartbroken over Sarah. I checked in with her when she first disappeared over the summer, and now wish I had continued to do so. I had no idea about the cancer. I’ll miss her friendship and her writing so much.

  17. MOL! Trouble has a secret hiding place and she’s not going to tell you where! We are sad about Miss Sarah, too. We send comforting purrs to her family and friends.

  18. That would have been super cool Halloween art but it’s fun anytime. Yay, Trouble. I like to play hide and seek too and smetimes I fall asleep before I’m found.

  19. Sam used to play that kind of hide and seek at our old house as well. We never did figure out where she hid!
We are very sad about Sarah. I got to meet her at BlogPaws in SC, and I’m so glad I did. I knew she was ill, but didn’t realize how bad it was. 🙁

    1. Black cats are good at hiding. That is so nice that you got to meet Sarah. I wish I had gotten to.

  20. I was so sad to hear of Sarah’s passing. I had no idea she was so sick. My thoughts and prayers are most certainly with her family.

Trouble, your art is beautiful! It really makes your eyes pop. But, you sure did live up to your name with that game of hide-and-seek? Though, the kitties around here agree that it is incredibly fun to ignore your name being called and the treat container shaking, all while watching your humans frantically search for you. That’s the best game ever, isn’t it? Purrs to all of you!

  21. I just read today about Sarah, and have left a note of condolence.
Trouble was using her feline cloaking device, just like Manny and Chili Bruce do! I look high and low, once, twice, then panic starts setting in, and just as I turn around…in walks the missing cat, as if out of nowhere!
