Hi everyone! Today is letter B day for the #A-Z Challenge.
This is supposed to be a banana, I was hoping it would look more like a Yeoww! nip nana, but it doesn’t have the curve.Don’t worry, I am not doing all fruits, tomorrow is something totally different.
We are also joining Book Date’s It’s Monday! What Are YOU Reading? and Comedy Plus’ Awww…. Mondays.
I just finished a great book that my hubby is reading now and my Mom plans to read too. How Would Buddha Think? : 1,501 right-intention teachings for cultivating a peaceful mind by Barbara Ann Kipfer is an easy read filled with so many wonderful things including teachings, essays and meditations.
One teaching that really stuck with me was to not become attached to expectations. How many times do we go to a party or a movie and have certain expectations? We will enjoy everything so much more by just being in the moment and not expecting anything. Sounds so simple, yet it takes effort.
C you tomorrow π A little A-Z humor.
We think your ‘nanner is pretty nice. We agree about expectations.
The Florida Furkids
Thank you π
Ellen, I hate to tell you this, but that ‘nanner’ looks a lot like corn π
As per books, I’ve added How Would Buddha Think? to my ‘must read list. Currently, I’m reading Trump’s War by Micheal Savage (he’s an epidemiologist and this offers a fascinating insight into the current situation of our country. My husband is currently reading 13 Hours and I hope to read it next.
I agree, it does look like corn. π You will like the Buddha book. Your books sound good too.
You make the cutest things. I admire your artwork. I have learned to not expect things. I just don’t hold expectations of people or anything else. You are right; it is a mindset. I have learned that. It is easier to not have expectations, than to be disappointed. Hugs.
Thank you. I am learning slowly about expectations and not having them. XO
Mighty fine banana!
Thank you π
Hey, if it has any nip in or on it, that banana will totally work!
Thank you Summer, you are sweet π
bananas make everything better, especially Mondays!
They do with nip in them. π
We don’t think we would grumble about what its supposed to look like…you call it a banana, so we will too, MOL!!! Maybe it would have a curve if you decrease some stitches in strategic places…like running your hook through two at a time to pull them in a bit? Or running a thread through both ends and then pulling them to make the whole thing bend a bit more? Just my fix it thoughts:)
Yes, I must have missed some decreases π Thanks for the idea.
We like your nip nana. And mom thinks that book sounds interesting. We can’t wait to see all your creativity at work this month!!
Thank you. XO
Oh I think that’s a FINE lookin’ nanner! I love the one your Mom sent to Angel Sammy…..I found it in the toy box this weekend and it’s fun to have Mom throw it for me so I can fetch! As for having expectations – My Mom says without having expectations, life is really full of surprises……
Hugs, Teddy
I am glad you are enjoying the nanner you have π XO
We think your banana looks purrfectly delicious! And this book sounds like such a profound read. I really like this sentiment on expectations.
Thank you π It is a book worth reading.
We think that is a great banana. Bet you, that the cats like it, no matter what it looks like. You all have a great day.
Thank you π Hope you had a nice day too.
I think that banana looks just fine! I like your book suggestion, I need help for a peaceful mind! So true about expectations. Good Morning!
Thank you, glad you like the banana.
Hmmmm…that nanner looks like an ear of corn! Maybe you could use it for C too. We’d still totally play with it. π
It does π That would be funny to use it for C.
Sounds like a book with lots of thought-provoking bits. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
Yes, definitely thought-provoking.
The cat seems satisfied in a finicky way.
Hey, It’s Ann visiting from A to Z So Much to Choose From and
Science Ladybug
Thank you for visiting.
Nice banana! As for expectations, I have a strange confession. I cannot tell you how many times I have sat at a music concert looking forward to remembering it afterward. Isn’t that odd? Happy blogging!
Thank you. That is not odd, I know what you mean.
The banana looks good enough to play with, and that’s probably what counts.
Thank you, yes, as long as it has nip in it.
Love your banana, and t hat sounds like a good book that everyone should read.
Thank you. It is a good book.
I pulled out one of your crocheted fishes for the cats this weekend; they loved it! You are very talented, even if the banana looks like an ear of corn. I have a stack of books to read, but instead I did the taxes (YUCK!) and the Sunday crossword puzzle instead.
Thank you, it does look like corn π Glad your kitties liked the fish. We still need to do our taxes.
Happy Nanner Monday!!!
Thank you π
Trial and error with crafts, but the kitty is purrfect.
Have a purrfect Awww Monday. My best to your wonderful mom. βΊ
Thank you π Mom sends her best too. π
Cute banana toy, and adorable kitty model. The book sounds good, too. I need to see if my local library has it.
Thank you, glad you like the banana. I got the book from the library, but I plan to buy a copy soon.

We like your banana Phoebe! It looks just the right size for a little bunny kicking π
Some times people are simply incapable of giving us what we expect of them so letting go of expectations that we have of people can avoid unnecessary hurt.
the critters in the cottage xo
Yes, it would be a good kicker. Thank you. I was thinking of expectations of places, but it is true of people too. XO
I never heard of this book. It sounds interesting though!

It is educational.
We think that nanner looks pretty good. The stem is purrfect. We think a brighter yellow yarn may have made it more realistic. Bet it smells and tastes great! XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Angel Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy
Thank you, you are so sweet. XO
Love the “banana” and the thought about expectations, so true and would save us a lot of angst.
Thank you. Yes, it does save a lot of angst.
I like the banana. It’s not perfect but it’s yours. It’s Monday, What Are you reading?
Thank you, good point π

I actually like the banana. It came out quite well.
That is so true about expectations. Living in the moment makes us pleasantly surprised when we least expect it!

My It’s Monday, What Are You Reading
You’re welcome. I am trying to live simply.
Well I had to come and visit when I saw your theme for the Challenge! Must admit unless you had it as B for Banana I would have thought C for Corn but I am quite sure your beautiful cat does not mind whatever π Good luck and will be checking out some other toys as you go through the Challenge. Special Teaching at Pempiβs Palace
Yes, it does look like corn π
Ellen, Your kitties are so brave! This one looks like he’s saying, “Are you done yet?” π Thanks for visiting yesterdayβs Art Sketching Through the Alphabet βBβ (for boys) post. I’m playing catch up. Throwing an appointment into my routine messed my blogging schedule up and today DH has one for with his retina doctor. It’s just a crazy week! Happy A2Zing!
I hope the eye Dr. appointment went well.
My husband always says to not have expectations. So he would agree with that.
He is a smart man.
The herd has a nip banana and they LOVE it!
Lucky kitties π
Curves can be hard to get in crafts sometimes. I think it’s recognizable as a banana.
Thank you, a lot of people thought it looked like corn. π
